Let’s hope in years to come that the generation growing up sees the value of these cars as our generation that’s buying them now , as we all wanted one back in 92-96 when we were in our 20s
Bet the diamond mine workers in Nigeria who earn 3p a week think that when the diamonds are on sale in Hatton garden or New York for fortunes …it’s all relative
BONKERS!...But good luck to the buyer. Working for Ford, back in the day, we couldn't sell these new. The last few cars we had, we put into Hertz Rental at BIG discounts (sub 20k)...the final example was an Auralis Blue Lux, with delete Rear upper spoiler option.
& now you wished you had bought it & moth balled it! 😂

@@pauldupre2269 I was thinking it could very well be the same one. I think the white ones were the rarest, mallard green and red being the more common.
A lot of cars displayed in collector’s showrooms or kept in manufacturer’s own storage facilities without being driven are usually very low mileage between mots ..
It’s worth what anyone is willing to pay for it, as much as I love fast Fords you do have to ask yourself £200k? There are still exceptions but the classic car market is starting to price correct itself of late.
The cost of buying a little bit of working history ,wonder what the price was new and convert that in to todays value off to see what I can work out . 😊
Nice car to look at, rubbish to drive. Even the dashboards look like they should be in a 1.6 model. And no matter how much money I had, I'd never pay anything near £200k for one !!!
Won’t be long until the world has sorted out the financial situation hold on to that for 10 years and the price will have doubled and that is a great investment all day long whoever bought it has a great business head that is probably why he can afford it he nows the market will be going threw the roof in 10 years well done to the owner ££££ quids up to you m8
My heart breaks at the milage on this thing, knowing what they are like to drive this should be used more in my opinion, then again, this car is what it is because of that milage, if I had the money to buy it, would i🤔.......... YES I would- just hope the new owner puts a few more miles on it
That's an absolutely ridiculous price for an Escort. Fair play to whoever sold that. Laughing all the way to the Bank & back again &....! You get the picture 😂
Except it's not an Escort with a bodykit. Only shares the roof with a normal Escort. It's a genuine bespoke homologation car. Anything with that pedigree and stupidly low miles is going to be ridiculous money due to the collector market.
Front bumper to Wing Gap is Wrong !!Bumper is Tilted ,So 2,000 miles With one Crash ?Plus when only EVs are allowed on the Roads it will be £2000,000 of scrap metal ,The Buyer must be mad !!!!
Let’s hope in years to come that the generation growing up sees the value of these cars as our generation that’s buying them now , as we all wanted one back in 92-96 when we were in our 20s
That’s nothing Prince Andrew paid £12m for his escort!
Nice.
Working for Ford in 1995 I brought an Escort RS with Lux Pack in Mallard Green for £14,995, the world has gone mad..
Insane
Bet the diamond mine workers in Nigeria who earn 3p a week think that when the diamonds are on sale in Hatton garden or New York for fortunes …it’s all relative
Completely barmy!
If this is what you want and you have the money why not
He probably owns 5 of them. And is bumping the market.
200k absolutely crazy for an old Ford. And I love old Ford's.
In 25 years time a 2020 2000 Mile GR Yaris will follow suit. People are storing them. Better than a pension.

Mental init!?!
Expensive ornament
They were Pretty Useless in WRC,Far Too much
I remember looking at a second hand one of these in the 90's on a forecourt also in white. Not sure of the mileage but it was £18k.
& now you wished you had bought it & moth balled it! 😂
@@pauldupre2269 I was thinking it could very well be the same one. I think the white ones were the rarest, mallard green and red being the more common.
worth what some ones willing to pay, don't forget 200k is nothing to some folk.
Stunning car
A lot of cars displayed in collector’s showrooms or kept in manufacturer’s own storage facilities without being driven are usually very low mileage between mots ..
Awesome beast
how the fck can a company justify 15% charge for auctioning a car costing £207,000? so £31,000 for selling.
They can justify it by getting £200k for it.
It’s worth what anyone is willing to pay for it, as much as I love fast Fords you do have to ask yourself £200k? There are still exceptions but the classic car market is starting to price correct itself of late.
£200 Grand for pretty much any production Escort ever is still silly money in this day
If I had that car I'd drive it everyday 😁
So You have £200 Grand for a Museum Peice to use as a Daily Driver?
Trouble is you can’t drive it you devalue it
very nice Cossie that is!
Better get mine out of storage then 1992 mallard green with 4562 miles on it ££££
Atleast drive it a couple 100 mile first.
Liar
@mrlionrocks dont think so buttercup jealous?
I just hope he can afford the Loss when the market collapses, as it tends to do from time to time. If NOT he'll be in deep SH!T
Classy Essex motaaaaa
Worlds gone mad
Next year itll be polished again and be on 2200 miles.
How much is a 1983 xr3i worth?
Restored versions getting on 20k plus
Expensive ornament. You certainly would not want to put any mileage on it , would you.
She's some bus ❤
Bonkers
Congratulations to Rodney you Plonka 🥸
They may as well remove the engine
The cost of buying a little bit of working history ,wonder what the price was new and convert that in to todays value off to see what I can work out . 😊
24k in1992, would equate to 62000, today
Its a 30 year old Escort FFS !
But it’s an historic model it has desirability
Yeah and they are worth more than you can afford 😂
Nice car to look at, rubbish to drive. Even the dashboards look like they should be in a 1.6 model.
And no matter how much money I had, I'd never pay anything near £200k for one !!!
Front bumper not square..... 🤔🤔🤔🇬🇧
A fool and his money are soon parted
We’ve found the jealous fool 😂
Not a fool if you're minted. To some, that's small change, certainly not me, but some.
But still a ridiculous price for an Escort
rare as rocking horse shit.
Just a scam to bump up prices just like the 600k RS 500
My words exactly mate 👌
Ridiculous price, you could build one from scratch for less.
Err no you can’t
Won’t be long until the world has sorted out the financial situation hold on to that for 10 years and the price will have doubled and that is a great investment all day long whoever bought it has a great business head that is probably why he can afford it he nows the market will be going threw the roof in 10 years well done to the owner ££££ quids up to you m8
Ridiculous. Still looks rather “council” lol

Drive the f,,,,, thing ,thats what it was built for
💪🏽🇬🇧👍🏽
Pretty silly really. can't be used, will go into a collection & will it really even go up in price, or even fall off?
what a MUG, it`s a dagenham dustbin for gawds sake 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No. 207k would get you something really special. It's just an Escort with a bodykit.....no sorry I just don't see £207k there
Except it's not an Escort with a bodykit. Only shares the roof with a normal Escort. It's a genuine bespoke homologation car. Anything with that pedigree and stupidly low miles is going to be ridiculous money due to the collector market.
It’s a fia homologation special and like you proper special 🤣
It's an Escort nothing more
Oh so what your saying is the door's, bonnet, boot, sideskirts, seats, rear tail ect wouldn't fit a standard Escort?
I had exactly this car as a model on my shelves at uni in the 90’s, I’ve wanted one of those since then, but even for me 207k is beyond unbelievable
Its still a Ford. 200k ..😂😂😂
Front bumper to Wing Gap is Wrong !!Bumper is Tilted ,So 2,000 miles With one Crash ?Plus when only EVs are allowed on the Roads it will be £2000,000 of scrap metal ,The Buyer must be mad !!!!
Talking shit
How many Cosworths you owned to gain all this experience
Only EVs allowed on the road? When's this happening then? 😂
A rich mans folly, however you dress it up.
50k 25 year old Honda NSX
Twice the car for a quarter of the price
More money than sense dagenam dustbin . Buyer should be put behind bars not a steering wheel .
I'd love 2 own that car that's when ford made real cars
Ridiculous , the average 10 grand car would drive better
