Technical Tuesday - CR920 Compatibility

- We've had quite a few questions about what accessories are compatible with the CR920, so today we are going to talk about optics, holsters, lights for the CR920.
When looking for holsters, you will want a holster designed for a 43X MOS or a 48 MOS.
Lights we have tested are the Streamlight TLR-7 sub and the Surefire XSC.
In your manual, you will find a table with what optics and screws will fit the pistol. You can find that chart here: shadowsystemscorp.com/opticcut
If you have questions about other accessories or fitment, please ask our Technical Team at support@shadowsystemscorp.com - Розваги
I just recently bought an elite from a local scheels store. Excited to run some rounds through it once the 72hr hood is up. Thanks for all of the videos on these
Good content! Looking forward to trying mine on the range!
New bronze barrel got to me on the 5th ABSOLUTELY LOVE the new finish seems thicker . The machining seemed smoothed out on the diameter of the barrel, either way FANTASTIC BARREL AND YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE !!! THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
600 rounds through my CR920 so far and 0 malfunctions. 5 10 round mags 0 malfunctions. Broke in very nice however I had to takeout trigger pack and deep clean after 500. rounds. very smooth.
I personally didn’t have problems and I love the gun. Thanks for the new barrel, it got to me quickly and I sent the old one back today. You guys rock!
Did you receive a return email or just the barrel in the mail? I’ve been waiting a week and half and haven’t heard anything. Just curious! Thanks.
Best customer service and transparency in the business and not just 2a community in general
@@TheLastSiIver never heard anything. It showed up randomly
Damn I had the new barrel and took about 700 rds to stop having failures. Unlucky I guess. Although now no failures other than some hp but I still carry it
Ordered a 43x holster from Eclipse with an Ulticlip. works well and arrived promptly
Use a Vedder Pocket Locker made for G43x..works great. Also changed slide release for a Gen3 G19 one works great.
Thanks Trevor.
Good info, thank you.
I just picked up a CR920 Elite and I love it! I’m trying to decide what light option to go with and what holster that’ll fit best.
I was finally able to get out and break my CR920 in, and there's good and bad that was not apparent from a month of dry-firing. The really good was that in 250 straight rounds I had zero malfunctions whatsoever. Also good is that it shoots less snappy with a pinky dangling than the hellcat does with a full grip. Bad was that despite that big beaver tail, I got some nice slide bite to the point where I had to rub the blood out from under the slide. I've never had slide bite before on any gun. The next bad was my finger got pinched between the tip of the trigger and the trigger guard on each reset and ended up giving me a blister. So not the most comfortable gun to shoot, but reliable yes it seems so. The big green front sight took up a lot of sight picture and made the Dicken's drill pretty tough, but hopefully hot-gluing a red dot on top will improve that.
Tlr-6 fits fine on my cr920. Yes the trigger guard is slightly different, but once screwed down it’s snug. I also have a Vedder holster (43x w/tlr6) and it’s a great set up!
Cr920 with the comp? Fits 43x? Do you just have standard Cr920 without the comp?
Currently using a Glock 43x mos holster made by rain city tactical and fits like a glove 💪.
I'm running a PMM comp on mine. It's a bit pricey, but the barrel works.
The “Tumor” is in place of a wedge that pushes the bottom of the holster out and away from your body which forces the handle of the pistol towards your body in order to try to reduce and mitigate printing.
Would you happen to know which holster he was showing? I was looking for that one on amazon and couldn't find it
Great video. Can we get one on cleaning the gun please?
I was wondering about the compatibility of threaded barrels (43X?) and whether any aftermarket glock parts work in it (really just the Ghost connectors and the grip-plug, though I really love the Johnny Glock 43/43x/48 trigger--so hopefully JG figures something out...it was an insanely pricey trigger, but made a huge difference in my 43X MOS).
God..I love my CR920 😍
TXC X1 Pro. Great holster.
I am looking for IWB or OWB CR920 magazine pouches. Most of the holster companies ignore listing the CR920 mag carriers even if they make a holster for the pistol. We The People, and Vetters to name a few !
Fantastic
Just bought one. I have a MR920 and love it. Does the cr work with a G43 mag. It fits and clicks in and rides home. I did not do it with a loaded mag.
When are you guys doing a range day in Miami, Florida to shoot the entire line up
Have the CR920 and love the gun itsself but I had the spring on the slide lock lever break after putting 400 rounds through it and had a new one sent to me back in October 2023 and installed it and now after another 200 rounds its broke as well.either there is a flaw in the springs causing this or something inside the gun causing it and Im ready to either fix it one more time and trade it in on something else or sell it.
I called Tier 1 and they said their holsters do not work with the CR920 and that they’re working on coming out with one. They told me it will not work in their 43x mos or 48 mos holster…
I just put over 300 rounds through my CR920. I had three malfunction buts all of those were during the 200 round break in period. The last 140ish rounds have been rock solid. It shoots great with a HOLOSUN 507k on it...just need more mags now :(
I’d love some more 13 round mags lol
I have some 13 rounders for 33 bucks plus flat rate 5 bucks shipping (no matter how many you get)
If you enter your email on their site they will let you know when they have them in stock, I got 3 extras a month ago
I noticed he mentioned a spacer needed for the 507K. is it included with the gun or where do you get it? thanks!
@@jamesf6761 they come included
Make a video about the mr920 just like this one ☝🏼.
They received mine for repair June 28th and emailed me that they were working on it and I have not heard anything back. Called the customer service department and left a message 2 days ago, no response.
Trevor, your CR920 video from ShotShow showed CR920 w/the new Holosun EPS Carry. What did you use (if anything) to fit the Holosun EPS Carry's K series footprint onto the CR920?
Is there any after market glock 43/48 (X) barrels that fit into the CR920. was wanting to get a threaded barrel eventually for it so i can put a compensator to it.
Trevor, do you have any ideas for a extended slide release for left handers?
Has anyone seen if they have addressed the alleged trigger and recoil spring issues?
How about recommending a stand alone Laser, that is one NOT attached to a light ?
Can you do this video for June 2024 and CR920P
Regarding magazine compatibility with magazines holsters: I checked in with SS and their tech guy says they are closest to a Beretta 92 mag in sizing for a mag holster. What are you guys using? The 43x sized sidecars are too tight.
Do you guys make extended slide releases for these? Or mag extensions? Can’t find anywhere is g43 or g48 parts fit this or not. Just ordered one
I’d like to know what our options are for aftermarket triggers. Way too much creep in my opinion and I wish I could swap my stock G43 trigger into the cr920.
Will there be an extended/threaded barrel version coming in the future?
Should anyone who owns a cr920 not even attempt to order a holster from Tier 1 ? I think a video demonstrating that the cr920 can actually fit in the 43x mos or 48 mos would be great!
They have em now g
I need this video on the CR920 P😢
I have the cr920 elite, wanting the swamp fox optic. What hardware will I need to buy before hand? Getting a little confused on risers.
Bought the base cr920, will there ever be separate threaded barrel + slide sold? I want the comp 😅
Mounted the Riton mrd, wouldn’t really recommend it for carry. The dot is extremely bloomed due to the auto adjust leaning towards a higher brightness and dust getting around the emitter. If you look at Holosun or Trijicon’s the emitters are more well protected due to the hood coming back farther. i have a 507c on my Masada and never have an issue with blooming. If i take a q-tip to it or blow out the emitter on the Riton, its fine, but just pulling it out of concealment its too bright along with the dust interference and its mess of a reticule. Going to wait for the EPS carry to become more available. Also with the Riton, it seems like it only has 3 brightness levels, low, mehh, and full blast.
Does the tier one fit the magazine? I have gone round and round with them because they won’t mix a Glock 43x with a larger magazine side of the appendix holster. It is my understanding, which may be wrong, that the magazine for the cr920 won’t fit the holder of a 43x?
@shadowsystemscorp In regards to the Tier 1 glock 48/43x Mos, how is the magazine retention/compatibility with the cr920 mags??
I am bummed. I already ordered a holster and had an olight baldr s ready to go. Now that I have my CR920, the light doesn't fit it os way too loose. I am hoping to modify my 130 dollar holster order before it is too late...
Are there any plans on producing a threaded barrel for CR920?
I got the cr920 warpoet and purchased a tlr7 sub. It is a loose fit. Am I doing something wrong?
Anyone know if the CR-920 mag fits in the holster for tier 1 truck 43x holsters?
are there any compatible trigger connectors? - JX Tactical Fat Guy for 43x works perfect
Trevor you really should checknout stuff from phlster in terms of holster
I just ordered a Tier 1 for Glock 43x MOS with rail and TLR 7 sub. That should fit my war poet cr920 right?
Does the tier 1 48 mos holster work for the magazine holster portion?
So I bought the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub tactical light for my CR-920 but it doesn't fit and the screws are tightened all of the way. Am I missing something?
43x mos holster by alien gear works great for me
Which amazon holster is that? I was interested in looking into that but couldn't find it
What threaded barrel would fit the cr920? G43?
i wish the cr920's grip was like a half inch longer.
Does anyone know if the Glock 48 mags fit the cr920?
What about mag carrier options?
What about the mags? Tier 1 has 2 options
I really want to get my hands on a CR920! Do y’all plan to make a 43x footprint pistol?
You know they wont answer that question bc then they would have a lot of people waiting on that one instead of this purchase. Same thing glock did.
does the magazine fit for the T1C holster?
I bought the Swampfox Sentinel and none of the screws would work. The screw heads are to big on the ones that came with the pistol and the threads are wrong on the ones that came with the Sentinel.
Why can’t we buy the gold barrel for it yet?
The Streamlight TLR-7 did NOT fit my CR920 (War Poet version). Even at max tightness of the light's clamps, there was about a 1 mm gap and the clamp would not grab onto the rails. Does the "War Poet" version have smaller rails?
You probably bought the wrong one check for TLR 7 Sub ( 43Glock version ) there’s 3 different ones
Are they any plans to make a CR920L?
Does the magazine fit in the Tier1? I've heard people are having issues with the magazine fitting into the Axis Elite even though the gun does.
When I ordered my T1, I used the 43x mos footprint with the TRL SUB light and it gave me the option for the Shield Arms s15 mags. I used that mag option with no sweat guard and my mags fit great after slight adjustments on the retention. If tier 1 ever approves my review, you’ll see pics
sell us the optic cut slide for the early adapters
Do you guys know if the G43X/48 striker control device from Langdon Tactical fits this gun?
@ShadowSystemsCorp
Does this include the foundation series also?
There is no Foundation Series CR920
Tier1 customer service rep told me the CR920 DOES NOT fit their holster and that they were working on potentially making one that does. Interesting that you're saying it will work, though.
If I were to order one anyway do you know what type of magazine to select? I'm assuming it'll fit most similar to the S15.
Same question on the magazine selection? Little help shadow systems.
Tier 1 Glock 48 MOS holster works, I have one and works perfectly
Did the tier 1 fit both magazine types ok? I’ve been waiting for them to come out with a cr920 model
Interesting. I reached out to Tier 1 regarding a holster for the CR 920 and I sent them the link to this video. This is what they said: “If you notice, he does not actually place the gun in the holster. We have confirmed on our end it will not work as intended, and the magazines do not work in the slightest.” Who do I believe?
@@edwinsantos9537 well the t1c holster isn't a light model, but he still could have demonstrated, and I also seen the t1c with 43x mos with shield arms s15 mag will work, haven't tryed it but who knows anymore
I attempted to order a Tier 1 Concealed holster for my CR920 War Poet w/ optic. Tier 1 responded that the G48 and 43x holsters would not fit the firearm. After seeing this I'm wondering if they were mistaken.
Has to be MOS! I got screwd the same way 😂
43X MOS or 48XMOS holster will fit.
I suspect T1C might be hesitant to say it would fit though since it was not designed for a CR920. Obviously it will fit, but from a “cover my ass” standpoint, I could see them saying that it won’t.
I was told the same thing and I’m very confused. They said neither the Glock 43x mos or 48 Mos axis elite would fit the Cr920 and suggested I wait until it’s published in their newsletter! What did you end up doing? They even made reference of this video.
@@2cbr600 I ended up ordering an OWB holster for the 43/43X (including MOS) w/ optic cut through Rounded by Concealment Express (not my first choice). The holster actually worked out great. The retention is a little tight for my liking, but I've had no concerns so far. I also found a fully kydex IWB/AIWB holster at a local firearm dealer for the 43/43X made by Legacy Firearms Co. and it also has been perfect. I'm not sure what was going on with Tier 1 (probably CYA), but my holsters work perfectly fine with the CR920.
Tier 1…Do the CR920 mags fit best in the OEM or the Shield Arms option?
And extended or not extended?
I ordered TLR7 Sub and received but does not fit to my CR920. Any recommendation greatly appreciate. Thanks
Did you get the Glock 43x/48 specific TLR-7 Sub, or the regular TLR-7 Sub?
Are emails being sent to let consumers know the replacement barrel is on the way or the request has been received?
What is this about ?
Trl 7 sub GL?
I bought the TLR 7 Sub for my War Poet version of the CR920 and fully closed it will slide on and off of the rail. What light should I be using.
Did you get the Glock 43x/48 specific TLR-7 Sub, or the regular TLR-7 Sub?
@@matthewtollefson2703 I have a replacement at this point. It is glock specific model. Works fine.
I have a werkz holster, for my 43x mos I'm assuming that woykd work
Yes that will
@@ShadowSystemsCorp thank you
a cr920 Xl would be amazing. Maybe something like a p365x macro mag design. The 48s is very snappy as it uses the same length guide rod as the 43. Glock really missed the ball with this design. A cr920 xl would be a much better shooter than the 48 in my opinion.
I plan on getting rid of my M&P Shield and replacing it with a cr920. And this might be just a small complaint, I do like the flush fit 10 round mag but it would be really cool if you guys offered a base pad that had a pinky rest on it maybe later on down the road who knows
Will Glock 43 aftermarket slide stops work? Specifically the Kagwerks slide stop?
No. But any gen 3 19/17 will
@@Freakingstang you're saying the CR920 will take Gen 3 19/17 slide stops?
Just swapped mine with a gen3 19 slide stop works great
Love mine, no malfunctions while shooting, BUT PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY RECOIL SPRING....! it's damn near impossible to remove without ripping it out. Definitely does not fit correctly.
I thought I was the only one..
@@zachw1 your not alone brother
Me as well. Maybe they will look into it.
@@TheLastSiIver that's what I'm hoping for. They are usually pretty good about fixing issues
@@zachw1 you’re not alone.
Hey,
I just recently got a Cr920 and bought a 507k X2 in the same day. I installed the 507k before I even shot a round through the gun just because I’ve grown completely out of iron sights at this point for the shooting I do. The slide failed to lock back on an entire session of sight in the 507k, it will lock back by hand everytime but after the last round was fired it will not at all. I tested it by loading a few rounds at a time to see if I could find the issue but not a whole lot pointing to a specific reason. Gun probably failed to lock back a total of 20 times the magazine was empty. Sucks, the only thing I can possibly think of is the optic changing ergos of the gun I really wish I possibly shot it before installing to see if it made a difference. Anyone else had this issue tho or know of a possible solution? Was using just typical blazer 115 grain to get started but after it failed to lock back every-time I gave up on it for the evening.
Take a look at your screws. I know the cr920 has had a ton of problems but I’ve had similar problems with a 43x in the past and it was due to the screws being too long and sitting on the internals. When I had the issue the extractor didn’t really want to sit in place. Best way to tell would be to take the optic off. If they’re too long just take a file to them and slowly knock off some material.
Don't know if it's still relevant to you or not but, my mr920 had the same issue. I tried everything ss had me do and eventually had to send it in, the slide was "slightly out of spec" the replaced the slide and no issues since.
Your thumb is probably on the side stop holding it down so it won't lock back
Doesn’t quite work with T1C holsters… I ordered a 48 MOS Axis Elite from them based off the recommendation in this video and just got it recently. The fitment/retention is off. Reached out to T1 thinking it was just a bad holster… but they confirmed the 43x/48 MOS holsters won’t work as intended when trying to use with a CR920. The biggest issue is with the mag carrier it doesn’t fit at all. Makes sense I guess since they have other options for MR920s and such. Not sure how you got your guys holster to work but didn’t have any luck here.
Interesting.. I have a 48 mos axis elite and the CR920 fits perfect. Clicks in exactly like my 48mos. But yeah, the mag is too tight.
T1C strongly recommended against a 43x MOS holster and said to wait until they get a proper sized one ready.
@@ev5150xxx did u get the oem glock mag or the shield arms? I heard the shield one works but idk for a fact.
@@ballzdeep1017 I have the OEM mag version. If you loosen the retention screw the mag holder works.. not perfect though.
You can heat the mag carrier up in the oven to about 350 degrees and push the mag in while it's still hot and it will fit like a glove.
What about the MR920? I just bought one and I could use the info on compatability owb holster etc. Love the gun
Anything Glock 19/19x will fit. I’ve used Bravo Concealment, Sin City Concealment, Safariland, etc. Haven’t had a single issue with any Glock 19 holster.
Tier 1 makes a dedicated holster
So the Streamlight for Glocks right?
Correct, I have that on my cr920
@@zachw1 Thank you!
One request: a pinky extension for the 10rd mag (maybe a tiny one and a +1rd one like Pearce would make).

Breaking mine in tomorrow, but I can’t even find things to nitpick.
DO the Same for the MR920
2 months and no response for DOA issue
I sent them an email with pics of my issue today and got a reply within 3-4 hours.
I really wish there was an American company that made an optic with the Shield RMS footprint.
The Amazon special has a tumor lol

Just make a g26 clone
shield rms is horrible
It junk got sold a slide and didn't work and wouldn't take it back!! As far as I'm concerned they are trash...
