- Every once in a while you take a different route that leads to some serious fun. Luckily we have friends that are VERY experienced duners, and they always put together flowy, fun rides. This one paralleled the highway, and we rode from Vendor’s Row, to Osborne Lookout, and eventually Gecko Rd.
President’s Day weekend was probably the best duning conditions and weather I’ve ever seen in Glamis, so we rode as much as we could to take advantage. Here’s what it’s like to try and keep up with V8 sand cars in 2 Turbo S’s, Andrew and I. Great times, looking to get back out there once more before the season ends around Easter.

The Funcos handle WAY better with the turbo Subie in them due to the lower weight and better CG. You want to have a challenge keeping up, follow a subie funco!

Great video👍 I was there 2 weeks ago. Sand was great. Took the same basic route you guys did. Some good fast bowls over by Osborne.

Nice run, great vid! Your guys' pack discipline was awesome. Those videos on other channels of nerfing and tailgating in the dunes can get nauseating.
Haha I never thought of it that way, I know guys like to "race" but almost every dune group I've been in, people give a little space, I'm mainly concerned with getting good video on trips like this... And I like running sweep so I can back off and catch up.

Chupacabra Offroad Little Sahara sand dunes. Definitely not as many acres as glamis but the dunes are huge and have lots of technical as well as wide open. Quite a few UA-cam videos
This looks so cool! Did you rent or it's your buddy's car that you are riding? We've never done it and want to check out the dune and experience the ride this Christmas.

Hey Nick what windshield are you using? Is it a quick detach?
It’s a Madigan Motorsports and it pops off in about 5-6 minutes, and built specifically for the cage 👌🏼 love it
How’s the full windshield working out? Would you do it again?
Over and over! The weather was so good I should have pulled it, but I'm driving closer than usual to get better video and it kept a lot of roost out of my eyes. Will remove once it gets warmer ... My friends think I'm a windshield salesman now....haha

How much extra gas do you take for a long weekend trip?
The wife likes in in moderation, Glamis is easy as she can go as much or as little as she wants. For a weekend trip, if the RZR is full, I'm usually good if I bring 20-25 extra. I rarely get to stay out there longer than 4 days.... hopefully next season.

I live in the wrong part of the country,just saying
I love roosting out side by sides in my rail. Anyone who rides in my awd 1800hp turbo lsx rail immediately wants to ditch their side by side and get a rail.
Sandrail’s are way better and way safer
