Bought this new in 1971, and it’s is still one of my favorite listens! Side one is classic.
remember how hard it was to get to hear stuff like this before the internet?
I listen to a lot of albums from the 60s-70s and this record is excellent. Great combination of hard/blues rock and progressive elements. Highly recommend giving it a listen!
Before the Internet and EBay, I spent like 10 years looking for this album to buy. Finally found it at a radio station’s sale of albums they were getting rid of.
In 1978, I found and purchased this album out of a cutout bin for $0.99 or $1.00, when new albums sold for around $8.00.
I think this was future Cheap Trick's best album but, I like old blues rock. And I still like Cheap Trick. Thanks for posting! My copy is worn out.
Finally found it. So happy .Rick disowns it. His loss
I never listened to Cheap Trick unless they were on the radio. I like this better.
Tkx from Belgium for this. I had this album, but never more heard since this time.
Joe Sundberg was a great singer on this record. I a little bit of Eric Burdon power in there, little bit less growl. Rick Nielson made bank as a rock and roll comedian and he is not doing that here at all....... maybe this is why he dislikes it. I think some things he may have said are unkind, since he is a multimillionaire now and the rest of this band (with the exception of Tom Petersson )apparently did not go on to be successful lifelong musicians.
