  • So Is Weighted Calisthenics STILL Calisthenics?? Some people say and think that once you add weight to your body it's no longer calisthenics but weight lifting. What do you think? In this video me and Ryan from minus the gym discuss the idea of weighted calisthenics and is it still calisthenics. We have heard people make this statement and wanted to share our thoughts on it. Our main thought is, it doesn't really matter and that weighted calisthenics is a fantastic way to train, to build muscle and to get stronger. Like Ryan said, weighted calisthenics is genius and a perfect marriage between weight lifting and calisthenics. Give it a go and have fun with it, don't be dogmatic with your training, experiment and have fun

    Good day Lee.whats is your opinion on mixing weights-gym days and bodyweight days?

      Yes I think it's a great idea, anytime you are open to using both calisthenics and weight lifting or weighted calisthenics , it will give you more options and more opportunities to stimulate muscle growth

    I think the only people who don't think weighted callisthenics isn't callisthenics anymore are those who can't add weight yet. I don't see a reason to limit yourself to finding what you like with something you'll want to be doing for the rest of your life.
