Rick it makes me VERY happy to know you were able to add 108 games plus a few extras to the collection from my ex-NES collection! I am happy they are going to a good home and I appreciate you good sir!
When you started speeding up I was like "Nooo slow it down!". It's really therapeutic
This is such a great series! So stoked!
I Agree! 😄
I would make a public list so viewers can see what games you need. Could be a cool way to trade and get some games you need.
You'd be crazy NOT to go for a complete NES set. Even if you don't get them all, it'll be a fun ride to try. Great video!
I am so happy to see what was happening in the background of this episode at 0:40! I saw Battletoads in the background, my favorite NES game! Thank you for that Retro Rick!
Good stuff man! Can't wait to see how many games you get this year
I actually have a sizeable nes collection that I’m looking to sell / trade. I’ve moved on from nes collecting as I don’t play it much and am now focused on completing my 360 NA set. Maybe there’s deal to be made lol
I'd be interested if he wasn't. Would be happy to take a look!
Yo , I may be interested!!!
I'm also interested
What are you collecting now? I need more nes in my life!
Interested
I got a lot of my NES stuff back in the mid to late 90’s as well. I didn’t have a lot of money growing up but loved gaming so I’d buy older gen stuff really cheap at yard sales and pawn shops. I remember getting a cib NES action set for $2! Still have it. A lot of my stuff I got for $1 or 2 back then, so glad I held onto it!
Asome bro dont let it go that collection
I finally finished the TENGEN set of NES games last year. Its more fun to collect NES games in sub-sets as you build your collection. I usually do it by publisher or by series.
Side pocket is another game I probably spent 300 hours playing. So fun
So my Dad growing up was really into Black Bass, was actually a very very fun game. Then we went up to Super Black Bass. Please sir may I buy that off you. Really brought back great memories.
It took me 2 years to complete the Nes set between 2019-21 minus Stadium Event. Best advice is start at Little Samson and get the grails out the way because that 600$ game today is probably a 800$ game 6 months from now.
God speed. I stopped at 152. I have a couple of heavy hitters like Ducktales 2, Bucky O'Hare, Felix the Cat and Bubble Bobble 2. Every time I look at my collection and what's left, there are 85% of the games that are less than $100 with the most expensive being Little Samson and Stadium Events. And some of the expensive ones are hot garbage.
I look forward to seeing how this goes
Monopoly on NES was awesome! You just had to play the rules to do trades instead of cash like you do on the regular board game. Awesome game!
These NES games look CLEAN! Wolf definitely took care of his collection!
It never gets old looking at old NES games 🔥🔥🔥. So much nostalgia as you went thru that box. A lot great games in those 📦. I’m looking forward to the journey of completing the NES licensed games. I can’t wait to see what you come across.
I love to power glove- Lucas Barton
I think id be crying searching through these boxes from pure nostalgia! I know I've got (had) loads of nes games as a kid and think they're still at my parents (im determined to restart collecting these)
Man… Spelunker and Solomon’s Key were two of my favorites back in the day that I completely forgot existed.
Good luck on your journey Rick! Lot of fun games on the system. Sitting at 33 carts left to go myself. Then it’s onto the unlicensed.
Turbo racing was one of my favourite games when I was young.... Good for numbing the thumb on the D pad with all the switch of directions.
Totally awesomeness Brother. Ten years ago I had 550 Nintendo games. I don't collect video games anymore. But have to scratch that itch buy watching Your passion for You collecting vintage fun. Thanks always for sharing Your Adventures 😀 👍 ♥️ 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇬🇧🌎🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉💯💯💯💯
Can't wait to see your NES collection unfold. It was my 1st console back in 1987 and wish i was as close as you are to completing it.. Good luck
Great haul bro! Killing it man, killing it.
Clu Clu Land was a favorite of mine as a kid. Took a lot of heat from other kids who didn't agree, but I think it still holds up. Simple game, but lots of fun with a good game mechanic.
Cool man 👍🏼. Can’t wait to see what all you find .
My man... I absolutely love NES content and that you are going for the full set. I am at 353 unique licensed loose (not including any variants) and 49 of those are complete after 6 years of flipping and hustling to build it. I've hit my first big wall though and not found any deals in a long while to continue the journey. Best of luck with yours my friend! I'd suggest looking at scooping games in that $30-90 dollar range ASAP, especially if you ever see them at any sort of deal. It's good to pick up heavies as you go as well, just bite the bullet and you'll be much happier strategizing along the way.
Spelunker is awesome, it just has a steep learning curve. Very satisfying once you get good at it.
*I love your collection! It's a big joy to watch how you collectiong growing and i feel like its mine.* :)
Oh wow! So excited for this series!
Bubble Booble was one of my favorite games playing when I was younger.
Spelunker is one of my all time faves! Love the music!
So happy for you Retro Rick let’s get ‘em all
Some really great games. Watching you go through them makes me remember the systems I had when I was younger. I always loved the Nintendo systems. The other consoles were good but there was just a handful of games that I really liked. I don't have any consoles at the moment, small living space. At some point I would love to try to pick up the consoles and games that I had.
I’m glad you’re starting a new web series! On a lighter note, I don’t have enough space in my room for any NES games.
Solid addition to the NES collection. That Jackie Chan game is rad!
The NES is a beautiful console. It was the second console I ever played ☺️
Jackie Chan Action Kung-fu is one of the few NES I actively look for at conventions.
You sir are quite ambitious lol can’t wait to follow the journey 😎
Loved the unboxing of the NES games. Best ones that I had were Lode Runner, Bubble Bobble 1 & 2, 1942, Bionic Commando, Shinobi, Rush N Attack, Klax, Super Pitfall. I liked the arcade version of Spy Hunter but the NES version was okay. THANKS for the memories.
I spotted Magic of Scherezade in the video at 20:04. That's one of the NES games I have. A good RPG that's relatively easy to play, even the password system is quite forgiving. It's a good mix of action RPG like Zelda mixed with some turn based combat like Final Fantasy.
I played so much Black Bass as a kid, it was a good challenging fishing game. If you tried to reel the fish in too quick you'd get back some bones
Can’t wait to see the journey unfold
11:11 "what a deal!" is the new "for my son!"
Black bass is a great game. Love it.
Go for it! Get all those games and have an awesome collection of games and controllers and system. That would be a very expensive collection right there. Right on!
@retrorick I’m a year or so late, but I had a good laugh when you included a Happy Gilmore clip in reference to Lee Trevino’s Fighting Golf possibly without realizing that Lee Trevino is actually featured multiple times IN Happy Gilmore 😂
Great video! I own Puss N Boots and I wouldn’t say its that fun, but its a nice 15 min play through lol. You can get through that game so quickly.
All the game nostalgia in that box awesome
Of all the systems I own the NES still is my favorite. Most games aged well and Tempe nostalgia factor is highest.
Ultimate Muscle ! Lol, I never realized it was based off or related to a NES game. Cool to find out
Good luck! Looks like you are going to have a fun hunt!
That was fun to watch!
Yay excited for a new series!
Good luck! I finished the NES licensed set last year (2021) and glad I did based on what has happened to the rare game prices. I already have the N64 set, which I finished in 2016, and I'm working on the SNES licensed set now.... About 200 to go for it I think.
You will most definitely get there! I have been working on completing a North American licensed NES set since 2013 and I am now officially only 32 games away! It's really exciting knowing how close you are!
Great idea for a new series! Super excited 😊
I always wanted to do this ever since I got my very first Nintendo back in 1988! Lack of space is what is holding me back, and well lack of funds for the more rare titles.
Very cool I think with the common games you have cone across them so much that you flipped it si often you forgot one day you didn't have it. super cool you are well on your way to completing the collection. Much luck.
Tiger Heli was underrated and one of those games I rented multiple times on the weekends as a kid. Was definitely one of first games I bought cib when I started collecting 10 years ago
Fun fact: Puss in Boots was based on the character that debuted in a 1969 Toei Animation anime movie. That version of the character eventually became the mascot for Toei Animation (the studio responsible for Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, One Piece, and more).
I really enjoyed this one man.
The Black Bass was one of my favorites back in the NES days!
good luck dude... you still need all the heavy hitters i need.... pat the nes punk says to wait!!!
Nemo, TCF Skateboard, Barbie and Zelda were my top plays back in the day
Damn I love this video
I have a modded Xbox with way too many NES games that I don't know where to start.
This helps.
If you separate Short Order and Eggsplode!, there are actually 678 North American games plus the 2 championship cartridges.
Thank you sir, for what you do for this hobby.
My first NES game to start of my complete collection is Family Fun Fitness Stadium Events! Guess I still have a long way to go! Woo!
That Little Sampson music in the background made the video for me!
Still happy to hear that you completed the gamecube collection 👍
Very nice additions Rick!
I have around 150 NES games. Some in boxes that are in good shape, some should be thrown out lol. It's a fun hobby and my son loves it too!
A lot of good games in there. I’ve been working on a full set for a couple years. I’m over 430 now. It gets a little harder once you knock out the commons. Good luck!
Totally awesome video man 😎!
Next a real challenge a complete play station 2 collection. Now that’s an accomplishment. You would need a separate room dedicated to it. I think it’s something north of 4,000 games in North America alone.
I feel like the collection should be complete in box to make it more special.
Will be cool to follow on your nes collecting journey Rick!
The fishing games on Dreamcast were actually a ton of fun.
Yes
You know we have to see these "rims" now lol!!
I started collecting NES around 2001. Still can't believe I got the majority of games free from my friends, because they didn't play them anymore. I also wish I never sold Action 52 ($30 on Ebay, around that time)
Breakthru is a classic for me. Highly recommend it!
definitely a Mario cameo on that Golf cover lol
My Buddy and I rented Black Bass from Block Buster and had blast seeing who could catch the biggest fish…. not the greatest game, but one of the best times couch gaming we ever had.
That Jackie Chan action kung fu is an incredibly fun game, I found it by way of the weird Mario rom hack version but it is a hell of a good play
Sega Bass Fishing in the Arcade was a great game!
YOU Can DO IT!!!!
I just reached over 400 games about a week ago for NES I'm at 403 to be exact, I'm gonna try to make it to 500 by the end of the year as well! Nice pick ups on the Jackie Chan and the Air Combat you don't see those ones very often.
Retro Rick was rockin the 24s 😂
I died when you asked who is playing a fishing game, I am playing Billy Bobs huntin and fishin on game boy color I actually tuned in to see if you uploaded cause I was playing game boy
Let me find out, Rick had the 20 inch rims on the explore! Haha
Rick. Love the video. You're gonna have to make a list like Phoenix Resale did for his GameCube Gambit
The name of the game keeps changing, I couldn’t keep up.
Loved Micro Machines. On the back is a switch that is used to get past the NES lockout chip
Awesome!
Hahaha. I do. I played Super Black Bass the other day after getting skunked out on the ice.
Retro Rick was on that Whatnot stream getting those NES games last night!
This is gonna be Awesome! Can’t wait to watch this series!
That cover for Muscle is amazing haha
This was a really good video!! 😊
