- Changing out the stock 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic exhaust and installing Cobra Speedster Slashdowns.
Installation was pretty easy actually, only took about 1-1/2 hours to do by myself.
This was not created as a complete "how-to" but I do show most of the installation plus a few very helpful tips for others considering installing the same on their Vulcan motorcycle.

awesome sound cant wait to get mine and put them on
Good Video, very helpful when i installed mine. Thank you!!
Thank you K_dawg. Appreciate the feedback! How did your install go?
@@BradleyLivestreams the only issue I had was, when i put the tips on. They appeared to be to long and I needed to cut maybe like half an inch away until it fitted. And maaaybe some struggle connecting the headers with the muffler unit, but i guess that's part of the experience 😄
Did you need to tune your injectors after putting these on?
Hello...just wondering what size clamps you used...looks good by the way
R Dookran these were brand new pipes so I used the clamps that shipped with them so I really couldn't tell you what size they were unfortunately. I would imagine if you Google the installation booklet for these pipes it will list the specs on everything that shipped them and that should get you where you need to go.
Hello, greetings from Colombia. I wanted to ask, do these escapes have a lanbda probe connection or did you have to cancel it?
Hi Juan. I'm not clear on what you're asking, sorry.
Do I need to grind/cut the pipes down so the flange makes contact with the headers, or will it be OK tightening it down with a little gap in between? Thanks.
Hi Jared, not real sure as I'm not a mechanic but it works fine for me as is without grinding or cutting them to fit flush.
@@BradleyLivestreams Thank you Very much. I'll try running mine the same way.
Did you get a proper tune as well? Since most bikes run lean from the factory, any modifications to the exhaust should be accompanied by a tune because if you improve airflow you're also making it run more lean and could possibly overheat the engine. May not be an issue doing just the pipes, but if you do anything to the intake as well really think about that. Looks and sounds great!
Thank you Koga! Good information. No I didn't make any adjustments but will definitely do that on my next service. Stay safe!
@@BradleyLivestreams you definitely need a power commander. Shouldve done that when you changed your air intake. Ive got same setup but went with Vance & Hines pipes. Ive got the same chrome side covers as well
Did pipes come with an O2 sensor?
No Matt, just the pipes.
Is that with baffles on or not?
Stuart, no modifications to the pipes, baffles on. Maybe I'll post a followup video showing the sound a bit more thoroughly.
@@BradleyLivestreams Cheers Bradley
Cobra Dragster pipes sound better. Deep and loud as hell. The slasters sound hollow and soft.
Will have to check those out, thanks.
Do they fit the vn900 the dragster 1800?
Sounds like a thugboat
