Sorry if it’s a stupid question (I just ordered one of these). Am I best to get a 12v car battery and attach a battery charger to run this unit. I want to use it to heat my home office with the unit outside and vented in through the wall. I’ve read that mains connection is an issue as if power failure happens the unit will overheat. EST solution is to connect to a 12v car battery and keep it charged up. I’m not an expert in these things so any advice you can offer would be gratefully accepted.
No question is stupid my man, For a home office setup, yes you could go the battery route or you could use a 110 volt[hiuse powerr] to 12volt converter on Amazon , 30amps, then you could power it like that. Unless you have constant power surges , just run it , no need to worry about overheating There about 30 bucks or so on Amazon.
@@JoesRigsandRepairs do you think there would be any issues if I had a power outage when connected to mains power. I read that if shut off instantly the unit can’t do shut down sequence where it cools down. That can apparently melt the mother board.
Thanks for the update Joe. I actually did buy the same heater because of your review. So thanks and keep up the good work. Roger

I’ve heard of this too, I mean I could it happening , even if you had a cheap ups to provide it 10 mins of power to cool down that would do the trick.
