Do us a favor? Post links to where you bought your hoops and long arms. Sweet runner btw
Thanks for showing us how to do it wrong
The moisture around the vent is what the dryer pushed out of the clothes, not rain.
Someone ran the dryer vent up to the screened attic vent and is against building code. You need to get a roofer out there to install the proper vent termination.
Once a year? The screen will plug up with lint after one or two months.
The brush and rods are right hand threaded. You CANNOT reverse the drill or they will disconnect!
What you removed are low profile attic vents. They are not suitable for use as a dryer vent termination.
This is why I love UA-cam! I would love to fix this properly, maybe you could send a video / picture of a correct termination . I would like to fix this properly, thanks
Also, do not use any screws when attaching vent pipe together. Use only quality aluminum foil tape.
Seriously? First of all, a screen over a dryer vent is against building code. Secondly, the air is not venting properly underneath roof tiles. That will cause back pressure in the dryer vent system that could possibly force lint into the dryer cabinet. NOT GOOD!! That is the craziest damn thing I have ever seen regarding a dryer vent.
you don't use loctite?
I definitely did!! I must've of forgot to add the part of the recording
Bushing
Easier to just break the stud and replace it. Good effort though.
Question would this method be the same for the front studs
@@CahlilWesson yes it is.
Hey mine sits not so straight was wondering if u had the same problem
I had no issue just make sure that back jam screw is tight
Nice
Thanks
If you need a diesel heater for 30 degree nights you’re a weenie.
I have a cheap vevor,I get 30 hours on 1 gallon
That black thing you put on the combustion air intake hose is actually a muffler, not an air filter. It is quite restrictive (you can find this out if you run your heater without it, then put it on and see the difference. You can hear the air whistle to get thru it. It needs more holes (about 3/8") drilled in it to be more free flowing so the fan won't labor to pull air in for one thing. And lining the inside with some kind of filtering cloth (I used charcoal cloth from a room air filter) will make a good air filter for the burn chamber. And replace the fuel line. It's garbage and is actually kinda dangerous!
After watching hundreds of videos on these types of heaters, I've pretty much come to the conclusion that they are basically all the same heater made by one manufacturer, (probably in the basement of a massage parlor in china somewhere) sold in different boxes (steel or plastic) and sold under a hundred different names with several different kinds of controllers and remotes. And the prices may vary of course. It's also been found that the 8KW doesn't exist, it's just another 5KW mislabled (several videos discuss this subject) The term , "plug and play" is also used losely as many have found if used right out of the box, can burn your house or vehicle down. So it is advised to do a complete inspection before using them no matter what you paid. Even the spendier ones have come poorly constructed from the factory. ("factory" is just a lose term used for the chinese basement where the children put them together) LOL. Just sayin'.
What kind of vent is that? Why would anyone cover it with rooftiles?
thank you
I would use a PC fan filter. Something meant for airflow and stopping particles without restricting flow.
Have you had any problems with the wheel spacers?
Zero problems and 1000s of miles off-road
I only run spider x spacers
Mine is awesome so far
Best heater ever..
Cant you drill out the stud? Like, drill into it with a metal bit?
Much easier to hammer out and replace, why complicate a simple job you know 💪
the concern i had which lead me to building my own in a pelican type case is how well the controller would stand up to an overnight rain shower. as such, my build allowed me to put the controller inside the case making it more weather resistant.
I extended the leads on mine to about 6 ft long , it then allows me to position it outside my tent and store the controller inside. I need to make a updated video
@@JoesRigsandRepairs I did that as well on mine (uploaded a video for reference) but I did find that the wires going into the controller to be finicky and would lost power to the controller. ended up having to buy a new controller that I ended up mounting on the inside. Something you may want to keep an eye out for. The wires started messing up within a damn week.
how much current does it draw from a 12 volt car battery?
5-9A to start, 1-3 A during operation
Hey what wheels are those and do you run spacers? What size tire are you running. I have the exact same setup but was going to go back to 16” wheels that clear tundra brakes
👍👍👍.Thanks
👍👍👍.Thanks
👍👍👍.Thanks
Great to hear I have just purchased one for our motorhome looking forward to getting it set up
Hope you enjoy it!
All is good so far
I am curious about how much power it draws.
1 ) the fuel hose is not worth a fck 2) use small p-clips for fule hose or small tabs with zip ties.. 3) find a better video this guy has no clue the exaust goes on the inside 4) I can't take no more of this please please please don't update us
What do you do to be able to afford such cool cars. Seen your 4runner for awhile on Reddit and other places.
My 4runner on Reddit?! That’s wild hahah I never posted it there. I’m just a diesel mechanic , I won the S2k, which I sold due to a bad motor. But everything else I just find good deals
The exhaust goes inside
You got a tent wood stove on the roof dude :-)
It’s actually a propane fire pit , made out of an ammo can.
Hahahahahah
Which roof rack is that? Thanks
One off rack a member was making back in the day
Does the fuel pump shut off or does it always run? If it does shut off how long does that take after startup? Mine doesn’t seem to shut off.
Nice video Bro 👏👏👏
Nice shot 😊
Ezra did this , 😂 I had no idea he uploaded it 😂
Wow
Give the camera person credit (your wife?) , She is on a slanted roof holding a camera, its ok that its slanted a little.
Hahah my son!!!💪
Good you caught that , good job.
Heater is great... the app is shit.
Hey Joe where did you get the washer too tighten up the stud to drill it back in???🙏🏻
Just some washers I had in my tool box, Home Depot has them for cheap
I'm actually looking for the right lug nuts so I can put my wheel caps back on. Are they the M12 x 1.50, and the hex size is 19mm or do you have a link? Thanks and great video!
I just went to auto zone , sorry for the late reply
This is what I am running into now !
very good vid. thnx bro
