Regarding Veejaga Hascish alot of confusion is caused by the two main fragrance resource sites using the incorrect image as reference.. as it's only the original 1st 80s release 'homme' blue boxed version that's discontinued... its the only version that has 'Veejaga' on the bottle / box.... and actually up until recently there were lots in Europe for €30-50, but never pulled the trigger 🤷♂️
There's another two more formulations.. 2nd version 'hascish men' black cap / red box and 3rd version 'hascish' blue cap / red box and these two were produced by Intercosma Italy and the later version is still in production and can be picked up for just €16! in shops (not sure how good it'll be at that price and the 2nd 'men' version also looks just as pale in comparison to the original, so i guessing they'll be the same just slight branding changes).... I think what basically happened is 'Veejaga' went under and Intercosma purchased the rights.
Might be good to compare them and see how they stand up.... but also I wanted to make sure people in the group aren't getting scammed and ripped off, because I've seen people asking 200+ for the non 'Veejaga' version on selling sites.

@@FragranceGlitch Rams mini bottle is the original 'homme' version by Veejaga..... the 'men' version resurrected later in 90s / 00s by Intercosma isn't the same 👍

Guys, girls, I just got my bottle of Hascish Homme in. No joke, this is amazing. Spicy, woody, smoky, green, big artemisia top. So good! WTF?! Where did this come from!? Rams is on point here. Top tier. Absolutely blind buy worthy for vintage lovers 💪🏻 Will be backing it up. Hascish Black on the way…

Drakkar Noir is my favourite old school scent from the 80's. Although there were many reforms, Id say there were 3 main changes. The first one was slightly sweet thanks to the patchouli but it only lasted from 82-89. They removed it cause they felt it was too 70's (old school). The next one are the cosmairs which most people know off and its my favourite. Its got nice performance and I love the clean smell. More fresh and sharp which fits my preference of scents. The last big one would be what I consider the murder reform. Gone is the Oakmoss and it got significantly weakened. Sure, there were many other reforms but these 3 were the biggest that I noticed. Glad I still have a bottle of the cosmair but I cant even wear it cause I don't want to run out. Just gotta open the cap and smell it from the atomiser from time to time until I can find more 😅🤷♂
edit: Love this series by the way. Get to learn a lot about scents I didn't pay attention to from the old days. Got the other episodes saved in the watch later. Gonna enjoy the marathon when I have time 👍

Drakkar Noir removed the patchouli in 1989 & supposedly this greatly changed the scent. Bottles pre-1989 are very hard to find.

Haha you were half right about the old Drakkar, it is citrus, but a creamy one! Chanel Allure Blanche and El Ganso Limoncello are very similar to it, like they are clones, but Drakkar is better, it starts with oak moss, what confused me, but after 5 minutes the creamy citrus emerged and saved the day! :D What's stunning is that this old Drakkar is so modern like it's a nowadays fragrance. Also the paradox is that I didn't smell the Drakkar Noir yet :D

Hey Ram, I recently took delivery on Trintignant Cologne, it’s more 70’s than 80’s, restrained honeyed herbal, very understated. Really enjoy it, but it’s no Pavoratti -- and as usual enjoyed your vid. Have to say I prefer Fendi to Trussardi though 😛
I got a bottle of Trintignant coming ... will have to have a celeb fragrance battle with Pavarotti & a few others 😂😂😂

I’m a big fan of Trussardi Uomo! I like it just a wee titch more than Fendi Uomo for my tastes. Might be the labdanum and touch of honey that sets it apart for me.
So there might be a couple Hascish Hommes on the European version of that famous auction site at the mo for those of you in the EU. ;) Just put an offer on one…
I’ve been trying to find all the reviews I can of HH, there aren’t a lot, but I did see one on Fragrantica that said the renamed, reformed “Men” version is not good, both in smell and performance. Word of warning. Would love to hear if somebody here has some experience there.

The first version of Trussardi was manufactured by ICR SPA MILANO, Scannon was the second version.

A fit of rage 🤣 Atomizers better watch out when Ramsey's around. All in all, not a bad assemblage of scents though. Yet to try that vintage JHL. Managed to scoop up a partial of the newer one but quite a bit still to discover.
The newer one is still quite nice from what I hear 🤔

Anyone else think Drakkar Noir's scent got co-opted as the generic men's scent for deodorant/soap/body wash product in the 90s in the same way Paco Rabanne Pour Homme became the hotel bar soap scent in the 80s? Interesting how people's associations of scents change with time.

Drakkar noir is a solid fresh masculine fragrance,the performance though is very poor. Quorum however smells very oldschool and synthetic to me-i imagine a dirty smoky 80s bar. The pine note is way more realistic in Yatagan.
The one thing the cosmair version adds to the fragrance is performace and longevity ... everything else is the same for the most part 😊
I have both eau arpege and extrait de l'arpege and for some reason it doesn't come off as very aldehydic, it's like lightly powdery white floral with almost a chlorinated pond accord (😅 incoming "chlorinated pond accord"!?!??" Comments)

I have Lancetti uomo edp in1986.
So basenotes shows Lancetti Uomo being released in 1985...but I go off of parfumo and they show 1982 🤷♂️

@@RamseytheRam Myths man, it's a clone of Kenzo Power but with added incense/smoke on top and mid, when the incense subsides, it's pure Kenzo, but with much longer duration. Why would that surprise you :D I know of two more copies that Amouage made, and I've tried just 9 Amouage fragrances, many "niche" brands are copying designers
