Listening to Judee sing The Kiss while watching the wind gently blow on the back of her white shirt on a sunny day in LA from so long ago is one of the most beautiful things I've experienced in a while.

Songs that touch the inner world of the human spirit are too good to be forgotten.

I didn't know this very talented young lady and I was very impressed hearing for her Jesus Was A Crossmaker. She's brilliant and I'm very sad knowing her very sad death so young... I hope that Jesus had sheltered her in his loving arms.

She a truely spiritual artist- that’s the thing with her, her mystery. It puts her in a different realm than even the Beatles - her profundity.
I’ve never seen the word ‘transcendence’ used so much to describe a songwriter - and it be so true…I love you wonderful Judee

Sadly, hardly anyone recognised her greatness when she was alive, myself included. I remember seeing her name in the weekly (UK and Ireland) music mags, but in those days I didn't have the money to buy albums on spec, and of course there was no internet. A very similar sad tale to that of Nick Drake.

Thanks so much for sharing this "cinelover". This is really something special. "The Kiss" has become one of my all time favorite songs these past few years. Hearing just how well the audience sings along with Judee at the end of the 1st song here really says something about the music listeners then and a lot of the people in general (at least at this show!). Sadly these days we can't get people to simply sing a part separate from the lead vocal line nor clap on 2 & 4.

Judee was living in Laurel Canyon at the same time as, The Byrds, Joni Mitchell, Mama Cass, Frank Zappa, CSNY and many others, but no-one talks about her in interviewee's in their later years. As far as I found out, she was a competition to many of them. Her abuse, and behavior might have been the reason why she was left in the cold... I don't know. Many of them were taking substances at that time. But it's strange that no-one mention her in latter interviews. Maybe both business, envy and competition kept her in the dark. It's a loss to the music world, and definitely a loss to a great artist.
