CT Mugo, we have never seen a single high profile corruption case being prosecuted successfully in this country.
Kalenjin kikuyu alliance cannot rival Somali kalenjin alliance. All security agencies are now under Somali domination while kalenjin are strategically placed
This will come to pass come 2027 and it will be too late to wake up.
Love the 2 ladies' points and delivery!!
Sheila and Diana make me proud of being Kenya, a fellow citizen of the two and the entire Spice team...
The two ladies have articulated their concerns as clear as day, CT on the other hand seems to be defending immunity.
The most informative Radio station
The appointment is a clear confirmation that Haji is the best person who is loyaly, and willing to abandon independence of any office he holds, to become a "shamba boy" for State House. All our experienced Military trained officers don't meet the criteria for the best "boot lickers" the government wants. Haji has proved that he can do it swiftly. Watch closely his replacement at the DPP's office and you will notice a trend.
Haji turned out to be one of the most disappointing political appointments in the last regime. If he compromised as a DPP, making us lose several billions, imagine how he will compromise the NIS. It will become a personal militia for some people in govt.
The question is, what is the expectation for the DPP to pursue cases that don't meet the evidentiary threshold? In criminal law, it's the Department of criminal investigation's responsibility to provide evidence beyond a reasonable shadow of doubt, which is an extremely high standard. This can be particularly difficult in cases where the DCI has done investigations and submitted files to the DPP for prosecution. If the evidentiary threshold isn't met, it's necessary to either withdraw the case or drop the charges.
Furthermore, criminal and security systems have become extremely politicized, making it challenging to differentiate between legitimate cases and politically-motivated witch hunts. Despite these challenges, the DPP is widely regarded as one of the most professional and capable offices.
In my view, Sheila Masinde's and Diana claim that Nurdin Haji, a career public servant and patriot, deserves to have his award rescinded is unethical. This is based on misleading the public with allegations that are unsubstantiated and based on profiling ethnicity. Haji has an exceptional track record, and there's no justification for negativity or criticism towards him.
The problem is these panelists/guests/media personalities end up in government, and somehow the song changes.
I ddnt think for a minute a shilling would be stolen with jicho pevu in parliament.... He castigated the government, even made CS ole lenku look like a fool. But now the song is ghe the same
I've never been a fan of Jicho Pevu. Ever. I used to feel that he over-dramatized his documentaries/shows. Which is okay -- there's value in drama as entertainment -- but I don't confuse that with focus on social impact and/or facts
I am shocked! 😅 CT is defending impunity in independent offices which have security buana , people died for CoK 10 to become a reality, and many are stilling willing to defend it including the two ladies ... It is not our reality .... impunity is the reality of a few Kenyans standing between us and prosperity as a Nation.
He is not defending, it is a national airwave where he has to act neutral and should not show bias, like lining on the other side without questioning them. It was all one sided until CT came in. Thats why they are providing concrete arguments. Good job to him.
...... Whoever takes that office should be "squeaky clean" any perception that is less than impeccable......raises integrity issues......
We must remember that people value people with integrity working for them. Even when they themselves are not.
These young lawyers are spitting the facts effortlessly. One never fails to imagine the euphoria of having perfectionist at higher/independent offices; kinda fiction books can only manage to depict. However, reality demands different approach: Compromise and intelligent maneuver ought to be included in the recipe...
There should be a provision whereby decenting voices for a nominee can be heard in a parliamentary committee hearing for nominees before they are brought for a hearing
EVery case committed in Kenya, the government dockets dealing with the prosecution process have no capacity to get evidence..its clear to the government and this means no need of funding such departments, waste people's resource for such clueless leaders
I support these two ladies 💯. Hajji is a failure and he is incompetent.
Do u know the job of Dpp?
@@kingsurul844nd you think you know
Explain under what circumstances one is charged then case withdrawn.... In such a case what was the dpps work.
Bure kabisa
@@kingsurul844. I’m not your average individual. I know what a prosecutor does.
Ghost call of duty choices have consequences🥳
These two women make Kenya great. Mps will just rubber stamp his appointment.
I do concur that Haji is not qualified to be the spy man of Kenya. Haji is very corrupt and he should mot be leading any organization in Kenya. The man is very corrupt and unworthy to be the chief spy!
CT you are missing the point Haji said he took cases to court while under pressure ... He terminated the cases , some ready for judgment based on evidence from witnesses ... His integrity cannot pass the test to hold such a sensitive office like the Director of intelligence ... What will he compromise under pressure?
For the benefit of CT - the law is supposed to be blind to all (the politicaaly connected and those not politically connected). Haji may have successfully prosecuted some cases but his withdrawal of the connected cases demonstrates that you can get away with anything - CT another name for this is impunity. Haji lacks the mien to head NIS.
To effectively combat the pervasive issues of corruption and poor leadership in Kenya, we must first work on shifting our collective mindset and attitudes. It is imperative that we recognize the value of integrity and morality in our society, and strive towards upholding these virtues as a community. Rather than unfairly targeting individuals in a witch-hunt, we should focus on addressing the deeper institutional and cultural issues that contribute to corrupt practices. By acknowledging and correcting our own moral shortcomings, we can work towards a brighter future for all Kenyans.
Courageous ladies Kenya needs. You have made my day.
any Kenyan that was the head of DPP would have carried that job exactly how and what Haji did especially when you could lose your life if you accuse and send to jail someone that is powerful in the government, The corruption level in kenya is not few cases that can be solved by one Man or One office, from the traffic officer on the street to the highest seat of president participated some form of corruption, So where did you start, is it like one man against the entire country's powerful offices, in order to confront corruption you need different generation of Kenyans thinking a head of the future not short gained money, Politicians are not stupid they see when you are still voting on tribal based candidates they will never work honest and fairness for those elected them on that narrow tribal feelings...
Enda Usikie vibaya Huko. Haji is an exceptional person Bold, brave and of high integrity.. you're full of hate Haji is from a very patriot family his father being a former Defence minister his younger brother Abdull Haji a kenyan hero saving millions of Kenyans in the deadly Westgate attack
purple tea!
Haji are this kids born in privileged and powerful families where they are pushed to good schools and through colleges without meeting minimum passing grades, get big jobs without an experience because of their parents social standing,
Haji had never prosecuted any case prior to being GIVEN the DPP job, name any big case that Haji has ever prosecuted, none besides petty thieves who have no money to bribe.
In Kenya if your grand father or father or mother or husband or uncle is or was a nobody you can never be appointed for any position, just see present appointments , latest being Mrs. chebukati.
CT was cutting too much slack for the DPP. Kenyans cannot trust this guy any more - PERIOD!
This CT mzee is senile...
J
You close eyes too much
*State-craft* is a serious balance that in this discourse , only Prof Muga seems to understand; that's why he's asking hard questions.
Let's agree that these panelists the 2 brilliant young lawyers are spot on, BUT the realities of politics & governance call for skillful navigation. Rule of and by the Law is key and very good, yet if you try to run a State by the book, you better look for another profession.
Mr Haji, a lawyer and spy, is no doubt the most qualified to lead our intelligence community
@isaacmunene9..
Nah, that guy,Haji, is clueless and overrated; or so incompetent to the point that he becomes a danger to the state he, ostensibly, is supposed to serve.
He is a convenient doormat for Ruto. That's just about the only quality he seems to possess.
There are many competent people in Kenya who can lead the spy agency, but not that guy, Haji.
Haji has put more effort in carefully manicuring his beard, than in learning real-world issues, which his offices require. He is pure dross!; a waste of money, space and opportunity to advance this country and keep it safe.
