    Thank you for the helpful video! internet connectivity while on the road is a big problem us RVers have to face. I needed something with fast internet at an affordable price and ended up choosing HomeFi. It was a great choice for me because I can easily work from home and use all my streaming services with no issues.

    Nicely done! This is the sort of thing where patience comes handy for finding that sweet spot. And a true hobbyist certainly has patience.

    How about doing a video for the cheapest solutions with the best performance…. They were showing us amazing products that a lot of us will never be able to afford.

      Even the most expensive options can be affordable if you watch your pennies. A friend of mine drove a Mercedes with a high lease payment and stopped at Starbucks every morning and said he couldn't afford XXX. He made good money, but spent it all....I should also mention he had a$100 Verizon bill and wouldn't change to a $25 Visible line. Right there he was wasting $75/mon. If you want or need better tech, it might be worth getting a second job for a while, selling excess stuff you have, or something.

      I've tried to cover some cheaper options in the past. ua-cam.com/video/NZQ-GIOeo5Q/v-deo.html But with hardware you often have to pay to play if you want "best performance".

    Thank you for this video! I've been looking for some info like this. I have the Inseego 5G X Pro from Calyx which works GREAT in my 5th wheel when not too far from a tower (3 bars and up). Looking for options to connect external antennas, which are not avail on the Inseego, but can move the sim over to a Chester Cheetah. While it sounds like the fast download is what you want, that is good for streaming video. If you are working over video conferencing (Zoom/WebEx) your uplink video and audio will suffer with poor upload speeds. This is a good demo of how the downlink signal decreases with longer lengths of antenna cable - Peplink at 6.5ft vs Parsec at 15ft, whereas the uplink signal gets better. Note - when these external antennas are mounted on the metal roof of the car, that serves as a ground plane, which increases the effectiveness of the antenna - when mounting on a RV roofs, you might consider adding a ground plane under them.

      @fh9630 I'm glad you enjoyed it! Note I think the differences in speeds for the antennas is more on the design rather than the 9ft of extra cable. Cable certainly can reduce signal to the modem but 9ft is pretty insignificant compared to the different antenna designs.

    I definitely need to get some antennas. For me it would be the directional antennas since I am line of sight but 10 miles away.

    • @NaterTater
      @NaterTater  2 місяці тому +1

      Yes that sounds like the right use case for directional!

    T-Mobile internet gateway works amazing all over the boonies of Arizona and add a 4x4 flat panel on a pole mounted on the rear of the camper van…. Very powerful solution for $$$ peanuts

    You used a t mobile business sim. What happens differently if it is the standard t mobile home Wi-Fi sim?

    • @NaterTater
      @NaterTater  2 місяці тому +1

      You just have to adjust some settings in the gateway to work with the home sim: ua-cam.com/video/mj0b4FnJen8/v-deo.html

    Thanks for using the label mike. You need to use it for all of your videos. Many have been pretty poor on sound quality.
