    Why did you say visual receptors and not ice? Is there a difference in their eyes to what we normally expect or are they actually just receptors?

    I can't believe it. How on earth does it survive in an harsh environment like that? It's beyond me. I also prefer seeing snakes moving along the ground rather than being held by the tail. They must really get cranky when held by the tail? It's unnatural position for them.

    I've had 3 inland taipans in my house the last 2 months lightning ridge nsw not fun

      I'm pretty sure it's something else. That's too far east. Interestingly another opal town -coober pedy, is full of inland taipans. Maybe that's why the locals mistake them. If you message my Instagram with a photo of one I'll ID it for you it's goannas_r_us
