Herping and wildlife films made by Australians! Having been into reptiles all my life, and have worked with venomous snakes for over 15 years I have always brought a camera with me. These are my adventures all over Australia and the world.

SURVIVING A DEATH ADDER BITE - WIL KEMP SHOWS US HIS VENOMOUS SNAKES (Part 2)
Crazy.
Excellent video - I have several CDs on Australian frog calls but seeing actual footage of your beautiful treefrogs is amazing - I live in Ontario, Canada and we only have 12 species in our province (and only 1 treefrog species - Eastern Gray Treefrog (Hyla versicolor)) - you are very fortunate to have so many frog species in Australia (I believe you have over 200 species on your continent) - there are about 100 species in North America and 28 of these occur in Canada, but it is still fun studying them - love your video and keep up the great work - and I hope you find the Mountain Mist Frog - we have a few endangered frogs in North America, and one has gone extinct - Las Vegas Leopard Frog (Lithobates fisheri) back in 1947
Hi! What month were you in Okinawa?
May/june so early summer
OK,TELL ME HOW MUCH PETROL EXTRA U R CARYING IN BACK OF UR CAR,,SHUOLD BE AT LIST,,60,LITER,,
WHY CALL THAT SNAK IN LAND TIPAN,,WHY TIPAN WHY??WHY NOT CALL BACK HEAD SNAK OR OTHER????
Mulga??
How potent is the death adder venom?
60 percent mortality rate if a bite is left untreated.
That was awesome
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it
The Whip Snake doesn't look anything like a Taipan to me.
Up close no but roughly same size, build and speed so a glimpse makes it easy to mistake them
Neat finds and convergent evolution in action - looks remarkably like the "Emerald Tree Boa" of South America. Never seen a Furina before neat. Looks similar to out "Variable Coral Snake" here in the Yucatan.
Oh nice I'll have to check that out! And yes they are so similar to the emerald tree boas
Great vid Steve..... When too many beautiful snakes are not enough 😂
Thanks John, it's paradise up there
WOW" SPEECHLESS in IDAHO! GREAT TRIP" and Finds!!!! Thanx 4 posting! CHEERS" jd
Thanks from Queensland JD!
The Green Tree Pythons looked spectactular, as did the Water pythons. Also, a Stunning Spotted, I have a Spotted python as a pet. She is wonderful.
I love Antaresia

That tarantula was ultra cool to see. cheers
Aussie tarantulas are so cool
Smashed another one Steve, thankfully you never hot tagged by the habu cos they are crazy toxic buddy not a snake to mess with even for a aussie and the heavy hitters your used to
So jealous!
You gotta be Australian
That I am 😂
That Banded Gwardar is stunning. It's really cool to see him do his defensive display.
One of the best looking ones I have seen!
Hai, steve Aku dari indonesia Senang melihat videomu Aku sangat tertarik melihat ular berbisa di Australia. Bisakah kau membuat video tentang "EASTERN BROWN" dan Micropieces Ikaheka dari Papua
So is a costal taipan as venomous as an inland taipan or is this way less dangerous than it sounds? If this is similar to a damn inland taipan I'd be about a mile a way in my car watching it with binoculars..
Did a quick google search. Its less venomous but that doesnt matter because itll still absolutely kill you. And its way more aggressive.
Lil guy diden’t know he was standing on plant that is able to kill it
Great video guys! Loving the regular uploads!
Thanks so much!
Awesome predation footage with the keelback mate!
I have an Anteresia - a spotted python. They make great pets. Super docile and feed well. She has only bitten me once when she was a baby.
We've had a stimpsons python that lived for 20 years. Great calm pet
@@stevetuckey Definatly a visitors handder - you can pass her to a visitor if they are interested in handling a snake for the first time and she is very relaxed. unlike my Woma where I have run out of fingers to count the number of times he has tagged me :)
Nothing like the Chapel island tigers
Hi this is an awesome video. I'm based in South Africa and really like badass tarantulas. Do you have a Facebook page?
Don't really check it much but Cold-blooded cousin. Also have Instagram goannas_r_us
Is he a P Mengdeni or P Nuchalis?? The both Western Browns aren't they
P affinis! The dugite is it's own species of brown snake. It may interbreed with P mengdeni a bit north of Perth though
@stevetuckey Thankyou so very much, so it's P Affinis, I didn't bother to ask about P Affinis , it didn't get a mention like P Nuchalis and P Mengdeni, , I was wondering was Dugite a generic term , I am just learning, and P Textilis is across the country , not near the other lads , is that right. or wrong , thanx again , you have cleared that up for me , Cheers R
Pseudonaja Textilis the Eastern Brown gives out 60% of bites
On the east coast yes. In Perth they are replaced by the dugite
You guys got Australia's super snakes in 1 video and some great shots. Congrats on the central ranges find and the adult coastal you found at the end of the video was breathtaking. That black Gwardar in the desert was a beauty too.
Thanks, was such an amazing trip, glad you enjoyed it
nice
Thanks
Prehistoric looking bird.
Death Adder = convergent evolution at its finest. Here you have a critter that "sits and waits on game trails" is an Elapid but due to selective pressure, prey, definitely takes the niche place of regular vipers, even down to the shape of the head, slit pupils, and hemotoxic venom! Fascinating!
What area is this and what would You say is the best area to see exotic tropical fish
Central part of Okinawa for both! Onna area, though the start is at the very Southern end of the island
Given there's blind snakes, do you get Bandy Bandy's out there too?
Yes they're out there but didn't find one on that trip. Found one at the end of this video though ua-cam.com/video/Zg1ZS-qUBoY/v-deo.htmlsi=FVcLRSeqOT6xpXzY
That's Thorny Devil country (Mountain Devil) surprised you didn't see one.
We actually saw a bunch earlier in the trip when we were in WA. Didn't really see any in the NT
Perenties are hard bastards. Not surprised it wasn't the least bit worried.
They really are. Some are super confident too
I find it funny that Australians do indeed speak English, but I have to turn on the subtitles.
I do have a heavy accent 😂 where are you from?
@@stevetuckey I'm from California. I don't know why we feel like we don't have an accent. But we feel like we have regular typewriter text conversations when the English and the Australians have bald italic comic sans Roman numerals Egyptian hieroglyphics going on. It's crazy lingos change by the pronunciation of a vowel and exacerbated by a different cultures nuances can make the same language vastly different.
@@PseudonymAliase That’s a great way to describe Glaswegian; I live a couple of hours drive away and it’s basically incomprehensible!!
Nice finds!
Thanks heaps
Amazing wildlife and landscapes. Thanks lads.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching 😌
i can't believe how small this channel is with the quality of content you put into your videos, i think i might gently plug you to Clint. congratulations to the two of you, may you have many happy years together.
Thanks so much for watching.
Yinz are Blessed with Great Nature .
Yes we are
Cool Guitar man
Thanks heaps, it's a lapsteel!
What is neat is that terrain in the background looks like some of our midwestern states ecosystems, until the wildlife comes out to play. Oz has the coolest and quirkiest wildlife on Earth.
That's pretty cool. Western Australia reminds me of Arizona but instead of brown snakes there's rattlesnakes
Any elapid with fixed front snakes and a venom delivery system should be considered a dangerous snake. So, the black backed snake if handled is a dangerous snake. It's just not a deadly snake like most of your elapids.
Thanks mate, very interesting
Glad you enjoyed it
Excellent video 👏🏻
Thanks heaps
Another brilliant video, thanks mate.
Thanks so much for watching!
Steve , I believe you can't say Elapid anymore , they now have been put into , 5 different families who evolved independently whilst being together , ACANTHOPHIIDAE ,, are Oceanian asps , But I have been told , in no uncertain terms Micruridae , Hydrophilidae , Acanthopiidae, Bungaridae Najidae , so no more Elipadea , and ACANTHOPHIIDAE are oceanian asps , can you expand on this , I'm an interested person, and can't quite get it as what pertains to which clades cheers ,
Well wicked.
Best snakes
Neat finds!
Thanks heaps!
