I liked that on the meaning of life segment you didn't cop out on the usual "42" answer. Nevertheless, if the existential crisis is due to the brain developing and feeling a lack of purpose once the goals are achieved---a sense of despair (induced by education???) it can be extrapolated that education can both spread hope and despair. A cycle a loop. As education is needed to attain the goal. But the more you know the more the knowledge of you not knowing much at all starts to develop. Haha sorry for the crazy ramblings 😅

As a Dudeist, I highly recommend the Monty Python movie, The Meaning of Life. It's hilarious, of course, but I genuinely believe that the movie genuinely offers insight into the subject. Meaning is malleable, and changes from day to day. Any singular answer would be useless, the question might be the same, but the context of the question is different.
It's like happiness. I don't like that word. I think happiness is a fleeting emotion, quick to come on, but quick to leave, and not one that can be controlled. It's far better to strive to be content, because contentment with your situation you can control. Happiness is like anger. It comes and goes.
I look forwards to your future supercapacitor experiments!

@@PavloKhmel I am very glad to hear it! Maybe I personally found great meaning in it, and maybe that means not everyone will.
But at least they get to watch a great movie!

Really, look around you, and everywhere you look, you will find that the purpose of “life” is to make/create more life. It is a machine, an energy. it is programmed to make life. This is my answer.
