Glad you went with the blocking behind the fireplace rather than drywall anchors. Cool location BTW. I think this vid popped up from my ICF vid. Down hill once you get to trim. Nice
FYI this is just a heads up on your wiring. I noticed that you have a 15 AMP receptacle for the electric fireplace insert. Given some models can consume 1500W that would imply you have taken up all of the capacity of the 15 AMP circuit breaker, hopefully that is all you have on that circuit. Typically when I install these I run a separate 20 AMP circuit just for the fireplace. Hope this isn't the case but I have run into issues with some of the China made fireplaces consuming more than the 1500W. Otherwise it looks great!
Great point. We are only going to use the LED light function and not the heater. You're absolutely right though that if we were going to use the heater to heat the room we would definitely need a dedicated 20 amp circuit!
I would not do black. Everything will blend in and not stand out. I think some kind of a steel would be good. I like the look of stainless steel or a cold rolled steel. Your place is looking great.
What a finish. Looks modern

Your video came just in time. Otherwise I would have had to get my a$$ off the couch and cut the grass! 🤣👍
So glad we could help! 🤣
