He all! Thank you everyone so much for your support for my reaction! I will be responding to as many comments as I can over the weekend. Sorry I haven't had a chance to the past couple of days - I've been a bit under the weather. But I do see you all and I appreciate you! Keep the suggestions coming!

Please pay special attention to Rusty’s comment. He is on top of everything that is Angelina Jordan. You’re about to embark on the most uplifting journey of your life when it comes to singers. Angelina Jordan will be a household name and a world superstar, and the world will be a much better place because of this young lady. Enjoy!
Because she arranges all her songs this band gave her the nickname "the Boss", for her intelligence and knowledge and ability . Which nickname has stuck with her from all the best musicians who play with her.
I'm sure you know by now that little girl ( 9 years old ) is now 17 and about 6 ft tall...She's not only a prodigy, but she has turned into a super model, and a living goddess as well..Our AJ truly have so MUCH greatness going for her..Charisma, charm, the looks, and of course THE voice...Great reaction my friend. Cheers..
At only 9 years old it was already very apparent that we are witnessing the birth of a legend. It was even apparent at 7. And even more impressive than any one of her performances, is how consistently she is this good, and in how many ways she is able to express the emotions of the songs she sings. Just as you said, you can't fake this. I encourage everyone to go check out Angelina's official and cover channels. There's so much more to hear from Angelina! And I always try to leave this little bio for those just discovering Angelina, so that you can learn a little more about her background and her kind and caring soul....... *Angelina Jordan* - Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 15 - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and started studying all the greats from Jazz history with youtube videos. - *Why Angelina always sings barefoot* - When Angelina was 6 years old, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. They talked for a while and discussed their dreams. It was cold and the girl had scars on her feet. Seeing this, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl thanked her and told Angelina she would pray for her every day. That day Angelina made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot as a way to remember that little girl and to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. Angelina holds so true to this promise that she has sung outdoors in Norway, in december... barefoot. She has sung at a dinner with ex-pres Obama... barefoot. She went on AGT (possibly the biggest stage in the world)...barefoot. She made a promise at 6 years old, and has stuck strong to it for years. That takes a special kind of person. - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the whole show at just 8 years old. - In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes" - When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need. - The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. After she won NGT, they did not want her to be thrust into stardom before she had a chance to grow up as a normal child, and get her education. They allowed her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that came in. Over the years since NGT, they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney. - Angelina has covered more than 130 songs and over 65 artists in the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else) - Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, Alan Walker and many more. All of which heard her and were blown away by her talent. - Angelina has written five of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield", "Oslo", "Million Miles", and 7th Heaven" (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube) In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a beautiful world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music. - Updates: On Aug 26, 2020 Angelina's Manager/Uncle announced in an interview that they have decided on Republic Records as the best fit for Angelina and she is now signed with them as their "highest priority new artist". On Nov 6 she released her first single under Republic... "Million Miles"! On March 19 2021 Angelina released her latest single "7th Heaven" She has done so much already, but at 15 she is just getting started!!!
hi and welcome to Angelinas magical world, the barefoot princess of jazz,9 years old, screaming jay hawkings song from 1956, and watch out,,,she could cast a spell on YOU, and maybe captivated you forever in your life, a young girl, born to sing all kind of songs..in any age.
She is meant to be the greatest singer of our time ! Hopefully she will keep to jazz which she'll loves ! But she can sing anything! And yes, she is a prodigy! Plays the piano, guitar and flute!💋
I've been an Angelina Jordan fan for two years. When I first heard her on Norway's got talent, I couldn't believe my earsa and eyes. Today, I still can't believe my ears and eyes. You said it. The emotion is so palpable. And her voice is so soothing and caressing. And her vocal control and vocal effects are amazing. She is a wunderkind. Thanks for reviewing it. I never get tired of hearing her.
@@MollyBeeReacts You are not alone. To paraphrase another YT comment: "as an atheist, the only explanation I can come up with is that her talent comes from God". Thanks for your reaction - hope you'll do more Angelina. 😊
When I first ran across this, I was like what?? what did I just witness here. She is incredible. Listen to her cover of Adele's Easy On Me....the emotion that Angelina has is beyong even Adele. Crazy...simply crazy
THIS NEVER! GETS OLD!!! I long ago lost count of how many times I've watched this performance - well over a hundred by now, at least. The original shock subsided after twenty or so listens, but the amazement has never faded. Watching this one is still just as enjoyable as the first one was. And this is just the tiniest tip of a very, very large iceberg. Enjoy the ride, and hang on tight, because it just keeps coming and coming and coming....
🩵🎶🦋🎵 I’m so glad you reviewed Angelina’s singing, and this is an awesome song to start with. I started with her NGT performances ten years ago. It’s so wonderful to have been watching her musical journey, and now she’s graduated from High School. And I am going to see her for the first time on September 22nd in New Hampshire when she performs there!
The black-and-white version of I put a spell on you was my 1st step into the rabbit hole. After that I was so intrigued that if I'm going down the rabbit hole, I thought to myself, that I should experience the beginning of Angelina Jordan's Initial spark. Norway's got talent I found that to be the initial public spark of Angelina Jordan She was 7. I would personally recommend you begin there
I'll add to the shoe story. She was 6, in Iran, it was cold, she met a little girl who was a street vendor and talked to her, probably in Farsi (Iranian). She ended up giving her her beloved green boots. She then went back to Norway and wrote in her diary (yes, this 6 year old had a diary) that when she did this a door opened in her heart and she climbed a stairway to heaven. "It is such great thing to help another person." After that she vowed to perform barefoot to remind us that there are children in need. She has since raised millions for kids' charities. She then wrote a book about this, illustrated by her grandmother, and became the youngest published author in Norway. Just your average 6 year old--genius.
I have watched this video hundreds of times...mostly with reactions. It's a masterpiece on all levels. The first time watching this video I was concerned a young kid could ruin her voice, and wondered about stage parents. I have learned Angelina is the driver. Her mom said on a TV interview that she is there to "put the brakes on". 🤣🤣🤣 I have watched hundreds more of her reactions on many songs. When the agt performance happened a few days before she turned 14, I couldn't keep up with the avalanche of reactions. That wasn't even my favorite song, but she got the golden buzzer. So many great songs. Enjoy the rabbit hole! I love "I'm still holding out for you." Age 10.
I.M. Your concern about her voice was well-founded. She never performed this song again with the growls and screams we hear in this video for that very reason.
The First Hand Experience I had was that I was struck by a Thundebolt Lightning. She sang with such a soul as it was her song only. She renedered in the way as she had absorbed the complete song in herself. The Norwegian Band was so so Wonderful Complementing her at all the Step. Not a beat was like Music was overpowering her Voice. She is a Child and Vocal Prodigy who understands Music. You dont see such Kids in Today's generation. She was Nine and such an profound understanding of the Music and the Arrangement is her's. She is known as the Boss of all the Songs she covers.
wait until you listen and see how this little one tackled one of the greatest songs of all time, Bohemian Rhapsody, on American Got Talent, the Champion, late 2019/early 2020. There is 2 versions of that iconic song, one by Queen and one by her. That's it. the rest is just imitation.
@@9Ballr And 6' 1" (185cm) tall, at least the last time I heard. Nice reaction. Excerpts will no doubt appear in the next set of AJ "I put a Spell on You" reaction compilations. I see you 'like' witches, the view from my kitchen is of Pendle Hill www.thehistorypress.co.uk/articles/the-pendle-witches/
You started with this video that really smacks most with awe.She was signed recently by Republic Records at only 14 yrs of age. Please post the original link to help her grow her social media, thanks.
It's hard to wrap my mind around it is when i first saw it and kind of changes my perspective of whats possible at that age but if you want to see the progression of that talent then you have to experience her rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" on America's got Talent champions edition.
Welcome to Angelina's world. She is an extraordinary young artist with over 140 covers and other videos that she has recorded between the ages of 6 and 15 which is her current age. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 and has already established herself as an accomplished Jazz artist. Her preferred genre is Jazz but she has done covers of about every genre you can name. What you will find in Angelina is a vocalist who doesn't do vocal gymnastics, she simply and beautifully interprets the story and meaning of the song and pours her soul into every performance.
Angelina has sung all over the world for Nobel Laureates, heads of state, music icons, and other dignitaries. She has performed everywhere from small weddings of a few people, to London's O2 stadium, and Seoul South Korea with 40,000 people. She performs at jazz festivals, conferences, and charity benefits. At the age of 15, she is a seasoned performer with 9 years of recording and performing. Many of her live performances when she was 10, 11, and 12 years old blow away even the original adult performers of the songs she sings. She is definitely worth your time to experience and get to know. She has covered Sinatra, Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Queen, Miley Cyrus, Patsy Cline, James Brown, Lana Del Rey, Norma Jones, Adele, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Screamin Jay Hawkins, and many more. Here is a good sampling of my favorites of hers that cover a variety of genres and ranges. I have included some of her live rehearsal sessions which actually blow away other performers produced releases. This is just a short list and other fans of Angelina will have the same length list with different songs. I have rarely heard one of her performances that I have thought was not up to par. Thank you so much for all of this wonderful background information and for your list with all of the links as well!!! This is very helpful for me, since she has such a large number of works and performances that people are recommending - it's much simpler having so many of them easily accessible and listed out in this way!
I'm sure I won't be the only Angelina fan (she calls us her Angels) subscribing to follow your journey of discovery with this young lady. You will get TONS of requests for any number of the other 140 or so videos she has on UA-cam. All of which I might add, are impressive in their own right. She has learned from listening to all the greats from Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, James Brown, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Amy Winehouse, Rhianna, and Adele, and you will hear bits of all of them when she sings, sometimes more pronounced than others, but make no mistake, she is not imitating any of them. She has her own style, and is uniquely "Angelina". She owns nearly every cover she does, and in my opinion, does the majority of them better than the original. I feel there is no genre she can't do, and the more you explore her, you will see why us Angels feel the way we do. Thank you for doing this reaction, as it made my evening. Even after hearing most of her songs hundreds of times, she still manages to tug at my heart and pull tears from my eyes.
If you watch it again you'll see her hold up a picture of the original writer and singer Scream'n Jay Hawkins. This was her Homage to him and the song.
Not only can this girl sing but she's responsible for many of the arrangements she sings to. (You see her passing a note to the band at the beginning of this video) The girl IS music!
Molly many thanks for reacting to Angelina Jordan who was 9 years 2 months old for this performance. At the start of the beginning of the video you can see her writing her 'wishes' for how she wants to sing the song and then those wishes are reviewed by one of the musicians. Angelina has always created her own arrangements and is blessed with the most soulful, emotional voice of my 62 years. She is a true music prodigy but blessed with a set of skills unlike any before her. As talented as Angelina is, she is an even better person, humble and filled with empathy. Please take the time to read the biography I compiled for her. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman, who has chosen to keep his life private. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age after listening to Whitney Houston on UA-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet and married a Japanese man who passed away in 2019. Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farsi, English and Japanese. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received vocal training starting around age 4. Angelina plays the piano, violin, guitar and flute and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina asked her mother to enter her in Norway’s Got Talent (NGT) at age 5 but that talent show had a minimum age requirement of 7. Angelina at age 6 and 7 did record a few songs in a recording studio, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. Angelina is blessed with a deep voice with a beautiful rich tone and has always made her sound much older than her age. Many compare her voice to that of Amy Winehouse. Her voice is highly emotional which is very rare for a young girl and some people can’t accept that such a soulful voice can come from someone who has not had enough life experience. One vocal coach on UA-cam recently said, “If you have a song and want to have more emotion added to that song, have Angelina sing it.” At age 7, Angelina’s audition on NGT was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. The next performance on NGT was her cover of Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. Angelina’s acapella performance is astounding especially for a girl who had just turned 8. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on UA-cam went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. On June 27, 2018 Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. Angelina performed on America’s Got Talent The Champions which aired in January 2020. She earned the Golden Buzzer for her performance of her unique arrangement of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. She sang her cover of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road in the Finals but didn’t make it into the final 5 contestants. There is much debate over how and why Angelina was eliminated. Angelina has covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, all of which are available on UA-cam. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On UA-cam, search on Angelina Jordan every song as a fan put all songs in one file. In August 2020, her manager and uncle Michael Astar announced Angelina has signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. On 11/6/20 her first single on Republic Records, Million Miles written by Angelina, was released. She dedicated it to anyone who has lost a loved one. Her 2nd single, 7th Heaven is a jazzy, upbeat, inspirational song and was also written by Angelina. Angelina’s family requested Republic Records to allow her to have as normal a childhood as possible until she completes high school and so far it appears that is the plan. Angelina Jordan is a humble, compassionate young lady of very few words when she is not singing. She is on videos saying she wants to sing for the entire world and also that she wants to improve the quality of life for all the children on Earth. She has helped to raise millions of dollars for children’s charities and environmental causes. Musicians who have worked with her have been quoted saying Angelina is among the most talented musicians they have worked with and she is the boss in the room when rehearsing. Remarkable for a girl of few words when not singing. For Angelina, it is all about the music and not her. Personally, I find Angelina’s voice the most soulful and emotional voice of my lifetime. Angelina as a person, inspires me to be a better person and live longer to listen to her sing for as long as I can.
👍😊see how this little one tackled one of the greatest songs of all time, Bohemian Rhapsody, on American Got Talent, the Champion, late 2019/early 2020. There is 2 versions of that iconic song, one by Queen and one by her. That's it. the rest is just imitation👍😊😊😊.
You: "It seems like a very adult song. I'm just trying to imagine a child pulling this song off." Us: (grinning from ear to ear) "Hang onto your seat!" Pleasant surprises like this are the reason why music reaction channels are here to stay! Great choice, MB!
Molly I subscribed after my first viewing of your reaction but am writing this after watching for the third time. You made great comments for a first time reactor to Angelina. Early in the performance, you said you were confused with such a mature voice was coming from such a young girl. When I started watching Angelina videos, my brain would ache because it was so confused, but I kept watching because the quality of her music was the best I ever heard. I have been a angel (fan) for about 16 months now and I am still learning about Angelina. There may be other vocal prodigies, but none who accomplished what Angelina did at such an early age. She is a once in forever musical artist and the most amazing thing to me is the incredible emotion Angelina conveys. No vocalist ever made me cry in 62 years until Angelina came into my life. While soul singers may touch your soul, Angelina's magical voice hugs your soul. I am certain listening to Angelina is healthy in many ways and will improve the quality of your life, especially once you understand the person Angelina is and what is important to her. Molly, enjoy your journey down Angelina's rabbit hole.
Watch the Norway's Got Talent with English subtitles. This is my favorite profomance of this Classic. I truly never thought anyone would out do Nina Simone, but she did. And it electrifies me... Every time.
Everyone has the same reaction when they first hear her. I have been soaking up everything Angelina now for a couple of years and believe she became the best female singer to ever live at age 10 with her rendition of "I Feel Good." Complete professional. Then we have found that she can write beautiful songs! She is a legend already. Enjoy getting to know her, she is a gift from God in these hard times.
To say she has had that "presence" all her life is probably an understatement. There is a clip of her at 18 months old, laying in her bed, when someone puts a karaoke mic in her hand and she starts singing along with Whitney Houston's version of I Will Always Love You, her arm thrown out as she puts all of her little toddler voice into the chorus. I'm sure it was just a cute video of a little girl singing at the time but in reality it was a fuse that was lit and she has never stopped working at her craft. People wonder how a child can sound like she has years and years of experience it is quite simply because by the time she recorded this at 9yo she had already been singing 7-1/2 years.
I was an AJ fan back when this came out and new very well what she was capable of, but like what often happens with her performances, I was baffled. I'm quite used to being baffled by her performances by now, so now it's more a standard part of the whole Angelina experience.
Angelina Jordan was 9 years old when this song was recorded. It was a tribute to Screamin Jay Hawkins who was quite a character. Most of the times he performed the song rising from a coffin in a voodoo style. Angelina is Norwegian, her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar. Her father is Swedish, her mother is Norwegian from a Japanese father and Iranian Mother Mery Zamani who is a poet and a painter and was a child prodigy in her own rights. She started singing at the age of one and a half when she fell in love with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. A year later she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and showed lot of interest in artists like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, and Louis Armstrong. Angelina pestered her mother to enter her in “Simons Show” as she called it from the age of 3. Her mother relented and entered her in Norway Got Talent at the age of 7 where she auditioned with Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She went ahead to win the the big prize at the finals where she received 46% of the votes while the remaining 9 finalists combined received 54%. Angelina said she likes singing because she wants to bring joy and love to the whole world. One of her dreams from a very young age was to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert. She accomplished that at the age of 8 singing Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World. After winning NGT, she was flooded with offers from major music labels as well as Disney but they were all turned down by her and her family in order for her to continue her education and to protect her artistic integrity. Her uncle/manager in an interview last year he talked about music labels top executives who would fly to Norway on private jets with huge contracts offers but would leave mad and frustrated because they never expected being turned down. Angelina is fluent in Norwegian as well as in English. She also speaks some Swedish which is very close to Norwegian and probably learned it from her father. She also speaks Farsi which she learned from her grandmother as well as some Japanese that she picked up from her grandfather as well as her mom and uncle who lived for a period of time in Japan. She actually performed a Japanese song at a concert in Japan. Most of her performances after NGT were for charitable children organizations where she helped to raise millions. At the age of 6 and while travelling in another country with her family, she came across a young orphaned shoeless girl who was weighing people on a bathroom scale for some coins in order to support herself and her siblings. After chatting with her for a while and without prompting from her family, she gave her shoes to the orphan girl. She recorded that incident in her diary and vowed to always sing barefoot when doing that in public to remember that girl and to remind herself and us about the many needy children around the world. At the age of 9 she wrote and published a book about that encounter making her Norway’s youngest published author. Proceeds from that book are donated to children charities. Angelina Jordan has about 140 songs in her repertoire. Late last year she signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. Her versatility is unmatched. She will wow and surprise you all the time. 15 years old today who is an excellent role model for today’s youth and her best is yet to come. Thank you for reading and I subscribed
I've been following Angelina for over 7 years now. And in my opinion Angelina Jordan Astar (real full name) Will become the greatest singer of the 21. When you said look at the reactions on her face. You willing be shocked when you see yours Every person that hears this for the first time has that same shocked look. Great Reaction Stay Safe ♥️ New subscriber
Yes… she is the best🌹🌺🌸❤️🇳🇴🇩🇰 Blown away first time hearing Angelina🤯 It was “Bohemian Rhapsody” I got totaly hooked by her version of “ Back To Black”… ❤️ There is not much that Angelina can’t do with her voice..
She was nine, and while it is a great performance, it is the shock value that gets everyone. Her breath control at the end is mind boggling. Her live performances of "It's a Man's World" and "Feeling Good" are great. Her repertoire is immense.
Ellen Hulslander - the end is so nice , able to hold that smooth rich tone without a glitch for so long . . . . . after such an energy consuming performance . . . . . ! ! ! ouch !
first time I watched this video... my jaw just dropped the lowest it could go, "amazing" is such an over used word when this really goes beyond amazing, can't describe it but we all relate to that emotion for sure. Greetings from Guatemala.
Welcome to the 🌍 of Angelina the princess of jazz music 🎷 who does not wear shoes 🦶🦶 during her performance is guaranteed pleasure in any performance at any age since she won Norway Gut Talent at the age of 7 (9 in "I put a speel on you") but there are also videos of her before this age what you choose to see enjoy ...
Molly, you can choose any of her 140. Her versatility, her voice and her compromise with her art will give you chills or tears. Von voyage!! Enjoy the ride! I would start with Bohemian Rapsody (at 13) and then go back to GLOOMY SUNDAY (at 7 y/o) then YELLOW BRICK ROAD (13)...believe me you won’t be disappointed! ✌🏻🌈🤗
The point that amazes me is Angelina's stylistic range. Her vocal range is incredible - beyond all expectations. But seriously her stylistic range is greater.
Most reactions focus on Angelina's voice and stage presence. In some reactions, like yours, people wonder what a little nine years old girl can know about the love problems of the grown ups? Well, it seems she knows a whole lot more than that about the world of adults. In order to get exactly the sound she wanted to get, that little 9 years old girl successfully surrounded herself with the best musicians, very skilled sound technicians in a well equipped studio, a really talented cameraman and the director Peir Heimly to make this timeless music video piece of art. At the beginning of the clip we see Angelina writing on a sheet of music and then we see the musician reading Angelina's instructions. This establishes clearly that she's the one calling the shots in the studio. She's the one who heard the original Screaming Jay Hawkins song, changed the lyrics here and there, removed things here, added things there, and rearranged the whole damn thing. And I agree with you that her version is unlike any other. I have viewed countless reactions since I first saw «I put a spell on you» on March 19, 2017 (according to my browser's history). Some reactions are better than others. But good or bad, all those reactions pull me back into Angelina's world. In these times where the whole world seems to be collapsing, Angelina's music is really helping me stay sane. And reactions like yours help me reconnect to my original emotion, deeper and deeper as more layers of consciousness are added to the song.
after almost 7 years following her musical path,,,,,,150 or more covers and some originals,,,,,,some have channels just about her,,,,,she is now 15 and already a legend in making,,,,,,,,,she is an experience you will have only once in a life time,,,,,,,she heals and redefine music and people,,,,,,,,,,,,,listen with your soul and magic will happen
Just start listening. She is the best singer I’ve ever heard. I Put a Spell on You is amazing, but it’s an unusual type of performance for Angelina. Her span of styles and genres, even before 10 years old, is hard to believe, but just listen. Now in her teens, Angelina’s voice is unique and beautiful, and you’ll see that she puts her heart and soul into every song. Yes, try Bohemian Rhapsody for Angelina at 13, but try Summertime to see an 8 year old giving us beautiful, nuanced jazz. She’s the best.
I'm very much looking forward to hearing (and seeing) more of her performances! I'm curious, since you say this is an unusual type of performance for her, to see how her other works differentiate from this particular cover. Her voice is absolutely unique and beautiful - that I can already see! Looking forward to seeing what else she does!
It's been a while since l watched someone react the CORRECT WAY. And you did! Next, " I'M A FOOL TO WANT YOU ", NGT, ( Bille Holiday) accapella, age 7.
Here we go angels another one boarding the ASTAR Express,,got over 140 stops untilI you get to the land of JORDAN,,your conductor is ANGELINA the Queen of music,, so have a set an buckle up this will be a mindblowing ride,,have fun,,👣🌬🌎
Old Old soul in a very young body..that voice shouldn't come out of a body that size. She is now 15 and 6' tall and even more incredible. She is truly a vocal freak of nature, especially when you find out she arranges all of her music. Her Bohemian Rhapsody is one for the Ages from AGT. "all I ask" and her new originals are awesome..well everything she touches is.
This may be the most impressive performance by anybody that I have ever seen, certainly of this century. There are so many aspects of it that defy belief. Add to it the knowledge that she did the vocal arrangements herself (imagine TEACHING a nine-year old to do that.) and it is simply magnificent. Do yourself a favour: go back and watch her channel Billie Holiday and Nina Simone on Norway's got talent when she was 7-8. After that, any of the 140-some videos she has on UA-cam should be plenty to keep you coming back for more. Angelina is a genius, and a very sweet and loving individual. You will enjoy discovering her.
Mike, Nina Simone? In the 4 songs she did on NGT she channeled Billie, Billie, Nancy S and Ella/Louis, surely. If you’re thinking of Feeling Good, that was at 10 🎶😏
@@sjbict I don't deny there are other good young singers, I personally just haven't seen any that are on the same level as Angelina was when she was 7 and 8. I'd be interested in seeing any that has won and you feel could compete with her.
Angelina's performances online go back to when she was only six (and in a studio). Many of her covers have been explorations of styles and she's mastered them all, making every single one her own. This one is perhaps her most playful and inventive. Her "Gloomy Sunday" audition on Norway's Got Talent actually brought me to tears the first time I heard her (in 2014). She was seven.
You touch on one of the many things that amaze me about Angelina Jordan. Off stage she looks to be this sweet natured, gentle, slightly adorably awkward normal girl, but the moment she walks on stage she becomes supremely confident - as if she was a 40 year veteran. This video is the perfect example, 9 years old, fronting a world class studio band with not a hint of nerves and in total control of everything around her. Same goes for her many live performances from age 6 on. Its just surreal to watch her transformation on stage.
Hi Molly! Welcome to the Angelina Jordan phenomena train ride! This amazing young vocalist/musician/song writer/writer/(the list goes on and on) just keeps getting better and better with every cover and every release she does. I've heard this version of I Put a Spell on You 50+ times now - it simply does not get old, there are subtle things she does in here that she now has become well known for. She's 15 today, and is one of the most powerful/emotional music performers I've ever heard in my 50+ year life. If you want to do more reactions (rather than just listening to her non-stop), I suggest Bohemian Rhapsody (at AGT Champions), Million Miles (an original about the passing of her grandpa), and her cover of Adele's All I Ask. But there are over 100 others for you to pick from. Hang on for the ride - she's amazing. :) Thanks for your reaction video! Loved it!
Welcome to world of Angelina Jordan ! She won Norway's Got Talent in 2014 at 7 yrs old ! She grew up singing jazz at 2 yrs old ! She has over 100 cover songs on You Tube ! Plus her own music ! Please react to her version of "Summertime " on Norway Got Talent at 7 yrs old it will blow your mind ! Her version of Bohemian Rhapsody on America's got talent is a masterpiece with her own composition at 13 yrs old ! Her own music Million Miles and 7th Heaven are tremendous which she composed and sang at 14 and 15 ! Enjoy the journey you will be amazed ! Angelina you will find has a huge loyal fan base as you will see ! Thanks again and keep posting ! 🤗👍🇨🇦🇨🇦♥️♥️
Great great reaction Molly. What I was thinking and feeling after the first time hearing this, is actually so close to exact what I think and feel to day, after several hundreds of times listening to this performance, as to all of the others by Angelina. Pure awe and mind-boggling. Imposible to reason at all about her performance. It`s all about enjoying, take in and let her put this great soulful and heartfelt smile to my face. You may pick any of her performance videos, and feel much of the same. Her creativity and versatility are amazing. "You ARE music" - was a statement from one of the judges as she auditioned to the "Norwegian Talents" show in 2014. She was 7 years old at that time.
One of the reasons , not just her singing, that people say she is a prodigy is that since she was 6 yrs old she has arranged the songs she sings and rewrote the lyrics if needed. The note she wrote for the producer was some last minute arrangement changes. He said the reason he smiled was because the request was so polite. There are other reasons but you will have so many comments telling her story much better than I ever could.
I, like tens of thousands of Angelina fans get a great kick out of the reaction of someone watching her for the first time. Your going to be shocked a lot.

Enjoy!
She was 14 when she wrote 7th Heaven. Seven is a special number in her life. Get better Molly Bee
Wowwwwwwwww
At 86 and being a big music fan I must say you are in for much fun
Angelina is the GOAT!
She’s potentially the next IT singer if the freaks in the music industry leave her alone she can be one of the greatest singers of all time
Just amazed at such an early age to have control conviction and performance in abundance.
Not just greatest singer of her generation, but by far and away the best of my lifetime and i am 68.
She's 16 now, over 6' tall and beautiful. Her voice keeps getting better and better. She's a miracle of nature.
*Angelina Jordan*
- Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 15
- She began singing at the age of one and a half
- At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and started studying all the greats from Jazz history with youtube videos.
- In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes"
- When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings.
(she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else)
- Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, Alan Walker and many more. All of which heard her and were blown away by her talent.
- Angelina has written five of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield", "Oslo", "Million Miles", and 7th Heaven" (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube)
In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived.
On March 19 2021 Angelina released her latest single "7th Heaven"
She has done so much already, but at 15 she is just getting started!!!
Molly, Rusty's channel has a link to all of her videos, and in various orders. He's a fantastic resource for all of us.
Well said as always Rusty. Yes, you can hear Angelina's greatness when she sings. And you can see it in the way she lives her life.🤗💖
Good job Rusty, she has a great supporter and informer of facts in you. She couldn't go out and hire better then what you do freely!
Thank you Rusty for this great bio of Angelina.
Glad to see you back Rusty, and glad to see your introduction of info for Molly Bee.
hi and welcome to Angelinas magical world, the barefoot princess of jazz,9 years old, screaming jay hawkings song from 1956, and watch out,,,she could cast a spell on YOU, and maybe captivated you forever in your life, a young girl, born to sing all kind of songs..in any age.
She directs the band! Always has, she’s old here at 9, go back to at least age 7 and listen you will be forever be amazed from then on, it never stops
Holy crap! What vocal control!
I still don't understand LOL
@@MollyBeeReacts You are not alone. To paraphrase another YT comment: "as an atheist, the only explanation I can come up with is that her talent comes from God". Thanks for your reaction - hope you'll do more Angelina. 😊

She is opening up the eye's of people all over the world. She shows you her soul. Other singer's only sing. Welcome to her world.
The band called her The Boss." Those notes Angelina was writing and handed to the conductor were changes she was instructing.
I would personally recommend you begin there
First time I heard Angelina
I have watched hundreds more of her reactions on many songs.
I watched several reaction videos in this song and the best part is seeing when the spell hits and it dawns on the person what they are seeing
First time pause amazing
wait until you listen and see how this little one tackled one of the greatest songs of all time, Bohemian Rhapsody, on American Got Talent, the Champion, late 2019/early 2020. There is 2 versions of that iconic song, one by Queen and one by her. That's it. the rest is just imitation.
She was 9 when she recorded this. She is now 14, I believe and has new songs out that she wrote herself. Million Miles or 7th Heaven are excellent.
Thanks for the suggestions! And it's insane to me that she was so young!
Just slight update - Angelina is now 15.
Angelina turned 15 on January 10th of this year.
@@9Ballr And 6' 1" (185cm) tall, at least the last time I heard.

I have said before…this is likely to become a classic in its own right!
You done gone down that rabbit hole....you ain't never going to be the same. Angelina is the reason I started seeing my therapist again.
She’s the reason I don’t need a therapist!
@@williambenzino5347 Exactly! I always listen to Angelina about 15 minutes before I take my blood pressure.
Angelina should not be possible. Everything she does goes against everything we thought we knew about singing and performing.
Yet she exists.
Thanks. I love re-watching your first reaction to Angelina. (Your expressions validate my own the first time I heard her.)
It's hard to wrap my mind around it is when i first saw it and kind of changes my perspective of whats possible at that age but if you want to see the progression of that talent then you have to experience her rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" on America's got Talent champions edition.
Bohemian Rhapsody??? Oh my goodness... I will definitely have to listen to that! lol
@@MollyBeeReacts you will also have to listen to that one more than once...unbelievable performer who is so humble as well
@@MollyBeeReacts At 13 years old, she performed her own arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody.
And Feeling Good, Born to Die and It's a Man's World between of these two.
And she writes the arrangements. Part of the reason she is so "in there".
Esta niña es impresionante, jamás esperaba que cantara de esa manera.

There may be rehab for AJ addiction
...but who would want to be free of her spell🙏🏽🇺🇸👍🏼😎
This was her Homage to him and the song.
even sweet angels can be fierce!
Hi, I could what the song over and over again
Not only can this girl sing but she's responsible for many of the arrangements she sings to. (You see her passing a note to the band at the beginning of this video) The girl IS music!
She’s lethal.
The first time I watched it? Awe ..just awe, and now having watched it at least 100 times I stll feel awe.
One vocal coach on UA-cam recently said, “If you have a song and want to have more emotion added to that song, have Angelina sing it.”
At age 7, Angelina’s audition on NGT was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate.
Love your performance ,keep up the good work.
This girl is the Real Deal!! Join us in the world of the Barefoot Princess.
❤️ your reaction and Welcome to Angelina’s World 👍🙂, stay safe and 👍 from a hug Angelina fan
Thank you so much for your kind words and your welcome!
Angelina calls her fans “Angels” 🌸
Love your reactions and comments !!!
Wow, welcome in the World of Angelina! ❤ thanks from Italy🇮🇹😘
Such a talented artist we love to see it ❤
She's amazing!
You: "It seems like a very adult song. I'm just trying to imagine a child pulling this song off." Us: (grinning from ear to ear) "Hang onto your seat!" Pleasant surprises like this are the reason why music reaction channels are here to stay!
Great choice, MB!
Thank you! And this was absolutely a wonderful surprise! I can't wait to see and hear more of what she has done!
@@MollyBeeReacts And we look forward to all your reactions! Thank you for taking the time to do them for us.
Welcome to this magical world
Molly I subscribed after my first viewing of your reaction but am writing this after watching for the third time.
In my opinion one of her best; I'm still holding out for you. Ciao
Thank you for reading and I subscribed
well summarized! She is just amazing beyond words. Love this girl. What a privilege to see an angel in my era.

Blown away first time hearing Angelina🤯
It was “Bohemian Rhapsody”
I got totaly hooked by her version of “ Back To Black”… ❤️
There is not much that Angelina can’t do with her voice..
Ohhhhh Back to Black! Okay that excites me too! haha
Back To Black, rehearsal, 10 y.o. 🌸m.ua-cam.com/video/LbXUKzOxACU/v-deo.html
I love the term you used "inhabiting" the song.
She was nine, and while it is a great performance, it is the shock value that gets everyone. Her breath control at the end is mind boggling.
Her live performances of "It's a Man's World" and "Feeling Good" are great.
Her repertoire is immense.
Ellen Hulslander - the end is so nice , able to hold that smooth rich tone without a glitch for so long . . . . . after such an energy consuming performance . . . . . ! ! ! ouch !
Everyone has a favorite by AJ. Don't miss "Loving You ."
the first time I saw this🤔....I can't remember but I have been a super fan ever since✌
first time I watched this video... my jaw just dropped the lowest it could go, "amazing" is such an over used word when this really goes beyond amazing, can't describe it but we all relate to that emotion for sure.
Your face expression was priceless. More, more, more....
The point that amazes me is Angelina's stylistic range. Her vocal range is incredible - beyond all expectations. But seriously her stylistic range is greater.
Welcome to the Angelina rabbit hole. This is just the start
These are absolutely the two best performances to start with.
Why does no one ever recommend her 6 year-old performance of I Who Have Nothing? She is so cute and so incredibly surprising.
I just now discovered you because of Angelina. And, I was watching the expression on “your” face! 🌸
It's been a while since l watched someone react the CORRECT WAY. And you did! Next, " I'M A FOOL TO WANT YOU ", NGT, ( Bille Holiday) accapella, age 7.
She is an old soul that has here many times and this is a result of our benefit! There are great things to come from its young lady!
Here we go angels another one boarding the ASTAR Express,,got over 140 stops untilI you get to the land of JORDAN,,your conductor is ANGELINA the Queen of music,, so have a set an buckle up this will be a mindblowing ride,,have fun,,👣🌬🌎
Spot on, enjoy all the rest, at what will come.
Congrats, you just discovered the most astonishing voice of the century...!
Watch her sing Bohemian Rhapsody on America's got talent when she was 13. Wow. It literally moves everyone who hears it.
Wellcome to Angelina's world.
Amazing and amazing and every time amazing ❤
This was recorded 2 month after her 9th birthday you need to see her in AGT at 13 her audition and another one the Elton John cover in the same show
This may be the most impressive performance by anybody that I have ever seen, certainly of this century.
If you’re thinking of Feeling Good, that was at 10 🎶😏
take a listen to some of the Kids on the voice kids.
@@sjbict I don't deny there are other good young singers, I personally just haven't seen any that are on the same level as Angelina was when she was 7 and 8. I'd be interested in seeing any that has won and you feel could compete with her.
Angelina is just the best.
I was blown away when I saw this. Jaw dropping.
I never get tired of watching her blow reactioners away!
Angelina Jordan Astar is a musical Prodigy he started saying and jazz age of 1 1/2
She started listening & singing Jazz at the age of 1 1/2. And she has over 140 covers & already signed with Republic.
ANGELINA...👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is the best version for me. I heard this maybe hundred times but it still amaze me every time.
