  • The team speed instructor! Considering you mostly want them for speed in the late game, that freedom for dumb builds is pretty cozy. As dumb as the iron cleric idea sounds, I found it pretty utilitarian.

    Stunbringer + Spears allows you to apply Stun x 2 if you can line 'em up.

    White knights are worth it for their dialogue alone. Rest is just extra. I just wish Mirdyn talked more.

    They are big on team composition. Alone they're not that significant of a threat, but if you field 2 or 4 of them in a velocity shift loop it's essentially a warp bubble of death. It allows for interesting team combinations, like balling up and using range/magic/status spam or outright pushing forward together as a blob of RT ignoring thugs. Cards, Haste and Paradigm Shift can help keep the circuit going. Cheese, or not they have enough bulkiness to push thru the pre-CODA content with relative ease.

    I'm warming up to crossbow white knight. In melee, it's kind of troublesome to keep them close enough together for velocity shift to have good value, but ranged? Ez. Only issue is not having options for non-stun crossbows. Guardian Force in the center of your squishy mages does more to keep them alive than a knight on the frontline. They aren't very good at healing though. Speeding up a Cleric would work, but would be insanely tedious, while Renewal is endgame.
    As a xenobian team, you can really see the synergy: White Knights stun spam everyone, Paladin tanks whatever gets through and slaps them with Lombardia, while Canopus is more concerned with actually picking off the weakened targets.
    Blowguns would make them busted. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be. Best synergy they can pull is speeding up Vigorous and Banes in order to spread damage buffs to everyone. If you want to go full warcrimes though: Archers, Ninjas, and White Knights in a ball. Eagle Eye means Stun, Poison, Petrify, and Charm. Breach Mead does not cancel Charm, and Ninjas can easily slip out of the ball and walk back.

      I kinda liked the turbo cleric synergy. They're bad at healing, but with a Faerie powder it's decent enough to be ok...and with a flying cleric and Lord, that's a lot of support in a little bubble.
      The Zenobia squad is a funny one like that. It's on the list for when I get CE working, I want to see how their plan would have gone without outside help.

    KOL's Warlock skill Barren Soul was such a potential skill that could shine properly in Reborn, it wasn't perfect in KOL but that's because of other criteria, not necessarily the skill's fault. Imagine having an attack that would turn opposite element of whatever your enemy has, could be awesome, even as a finisher.

      Finishers basically already do that by their nature, more or less. One Vision did get the skill for Rudlum's unique Enchanter class. Came with MOTBQ Acid Cloud, too.

      @@CoffeePotato Nice, I had a hunch OV people would find a way to utilize it, such a great concept of a skill. Don't know about MOTBQ skills but now I am curious. KOL had so many awesome ideas but no reason to use them, last few classes made so many stuff obsolete.

    I believe Ozma can become a White Knight as well, though I'm not sure why anyone would make her one.

      4 velocity shifts is most of a full turn. Just guzzle some skill cards and awkwardly shuffle towards the enemy to ZA WARUDO until they die.

    I love using White Knights and Terror Knights. Nothing makes enemies units go welp we're screwed its over than seeing multiple White Knights and Terror Knights approaching. The White Knight equipped with a Scorpion +1 is inflicting poison and stun continually. Then the Terror Knights are inflicting breach and fear with their Claymore +1. I'm on a new playthrough and this combination makes fights so much easier. Add to this having Wizards, Necromancers and Archers peppering the enemy and its over before they know it. The White Knight having velocity shift is so broken. You can never go wrong using this class.

    Other than their party speed boost skill I don't really find them that useful. I prefer Ravness as a light based Valkyrie instead of a White Knight.

      Same, but zoomy tornado stuff can be neat for long range series. They're a utility tool with a lot of build options most of the time.

    Claymore+1 Gildas absolutely wrecks. Guardian force makes him bulkier than usual with no shield, and then velocity shift negates the 2h weight. It’s a unit that gives you so much value when they get to where they need to be on the field.

      Maybe it's brain fog, but why would Guardian Force make him bulkier? That would increase damage taken.

      I think the bulkiness comes from running the Gildas and Mirdyn together. Their good auto-skills mean you will probably be aiming for skill cards, and keeping them within 2 squares with each other.

    They are the glue that holds my team together. Guardian force is an excellent damage mitigator, stun bringer with fists to ensure bulky targets are stunned and poisoned, and they balance out the primary weakness of my terror knight by bringing his RT down to normal levels which keeps the enemy front line breached and fear stricken. No incap/no death runs become smooth sailing once I get them.

    Does their stunbringer work with their crossbow? Like could you Lombardia+Crossbow with their stun blade thing and counter melee and ranged with stuns?

    I build mine for frontline support: heal 3, awaken, 2h hammers, rampart 2, v shift, p blade. imo a boot slot is less valuable than a skill slot, so i prefer winged boots over steadfast, but that's debatable.

    Dude, Ozma gets WK as well if all 4 are in range of each other and on person in between the you can burn thousands of mp as long as 3 velocity shifts hit.

    Can you upgrade any of your own characters into white knights. I don't like using story characters. I want to just use my custom characters. The game keeps telling me I have White Knight Class Cards but no one can use them.

    Wish we had a Demon Knight- with access to Poison and an Automatic Slow skill. Give him a one-handed butter knife- I mean sword, dagger, shield, and one handed bow only. A couple weak, dark, useless skills. Stick some bat wings on him. Completely opposed to a Divine Knight 😁.

      Nope, it's just the only one the store had for under $30. I've been keeping an eye out on an affordable way to improve that situation.

    Idk Mr Potato sir. . You mentioned their stats being higher but isnt that because of the characters themselves?
    If those shamans could read.. they'd be very upset 😂😂

      It is, it's the unique character stat privilege. They just have some extra numbers thrown on there. This matters earlier in the story, but tends to peter out over time. In this case since every character that has the class gets the bonus, I'm considering that part of the class. Shamans were more of a 50/50 there 👍
