I really appreciate him doing a review on this even though he uses and has access to super high-end way better equipment he doesn't lose touch with other people in their budgets. I have those subs, I like skar honestly they make good stuff for sure.
I have switched almost all speakers in my 3 vehicles to Skar and drive them with my Rockford Fosgate Amplifiers. I love Skar equipment and honestly put them up with anyone else's speakers. That says alot from a guy who has been a solid Rockford Fosgate guy since 1993.
Totally agree I am trying to build a very budget under my rear seat in my ext cab chevy. Been trying to find solid reviews of SKAR and this has helped tremendously!!!
Ya I was looking at the known one of my buddies was telling me about his son just got a skar 12 loved it had an issue called skar they sent him a brand new one free so he ordered a second one. He is poweri g with a cerwin Vega amp but I think I will pair skar with skar.
Skar is a great brand overall. Just stay away from the EVL subwoofers, as they are known and prone to fail. And they have not so good ts parameters, which us a dead giveaway.

I heard about Skar audio a few years ago. For a 3 year warranty and the price it was, I had to try it. I've been impressed by their stuff. It doesn't sound as good as the Alpine Type r's I had, but I did pay a lot more for them. Skar audio is perfect for me. Since I have become a father I am constantly having to ball on a budget.
Whats up. This is Mike Anderson. I live about an hr and a half north of sac in Red Bluff. I haven't had a system in years and a rescent install in my daughters '98 passport got my juices flowing again. She's running a Skar sdr-10 dvc-4. The amp i got her is crap but wanna experiment first. The 1200watt skar amp in this video would pair perfectly for her whole system. Skar audio is a new name to me but i want to run a skar system in my '18 silverado z-71 too.Can't wait to do these installs. Thx for the videos. They've helped get me up to speed again.
I first bought skar audio subs at the beginning of 2020 and now I bought a full skar audio sound system, some of their insane level component speakers, some of their FSX loudspeakers and a 4 channel skar amp and I don't think I'll ever go back to kicker or others

Hi chief! This sub looks to be a beast! Me and my bro's (living in Hungary) are looking to build a rather large portable speaker setup. This looks to be a perfect fit. In fact we just saw the exact model 2 weeks ago and calculated with the price and power. We'd sure make good use of it!

This is a great deal! I installed this in the family car and it sounds great! My wife was on the fence about it but after she played her Cristian music she fell in love with the system lol the audiocontrol epicenter does help alot too.
I live in Hungary (central europe) and me and my friends are planning on building a boombox, for home parties and that sort of thing, so I would not be using this in a car since I don't have one. But interestingly in the past month I was looking at different subs and Skar audio was one of the options because it has a great price and relativly good reviews. If I were to win It would save us lot of money and time spent designing the ported box.
I'm in Maryland and have two 12" Skar subs in my 2019 Suburban. The sound is unbelievable for such a low price. Purchased them a year ago and they're still punching.

I just bought that speaker with the Skar 800.1 amp and love it. It hits nicely for the money. I got the 12" SDR Skar subwoofer, the skar 800?1 amp, and a 4 guage wiring kit for $320. Great sound for the money, can't beat it!! I love my Skar equipment. 🔥🔥👍🏼💯

Nice. This reinforces the fact that an EVL-12 can take a pounding. Skar's badass. Crispy bass with jazz and decent rock kick drum. Thank goodness I ditched PA
They can take a beating! Almost a year of abuse on some 12” evls and still going strong, ran a sdr on a crossfire 6k and lasted about 2 weeks but I abused it like crazy!

This would be the perfect setup for my daughter's 2011 Nissan sentra. I have always had system setups and I put a hand me down one in hers. Would love to surprise her with this. I'm originally from Omaha, Nebraska. I moved to Atlanta in '95 and fell in love with hip-hop and bass. My current car is a 2022 Lexus es350 f sport with the Mark Levinson sound system. That Skar sub and amp would compliment my existing speakers and add some back massagers to the rear seats!
I have this amp and two 8" sdr. I'm afraid I might burn up my alternator or stock battery with this setup. Can anyone help me know if this 1200.1 amp is too big for a stock electrical on a 2018 Chevy Spark? Is there any after market alternators for it? Like mechman? Thanks for the video!
I don't know how he doesn't go deaf with the sound of all those machines constantly. Music is one thing but constant noise of those machines over a long period of time is worse.
SMD, always coming through for the fans. My nephew is 17, just got his license and purchased his first vehicle. A Dodge Durango. Its Steve and Sara from Middletown Pennsylvania, Bought a 2006 Nissan Xterra from my sister, with blown speakers. Replaced the two front speakers with some cheap Pyle 6.5 component sets. I just turned 40 this year, and after replacing the door speakers it brought me back in time when I was totally into car audio systems. Another reason I want this set up is to prove my Best Friend there is nothing wrong with the Skar system. I've been looking at this speaker and Amp for weeks and weeks. I know they preform great, but he just don't have the faith. My best friend is comparing the Skar to his JL W13. The only reason I haven't purchased it yet is due to lack of funds, but when I do get a amp and sub, I still have my 4 Gauge wire and remote cables still from 22 years ago.
Tucson AZ, here and wanted to add that I recently installed 2 - 12 Skar Audio subs along with the Skar 1500 amp and I am blown away. I have them faced outward in my Toyota Sequoia. Skar Audio is lit. I would install this into my sister's car as the gift of bass. Awesome video btw.
So, I’m from Cozad, Nebraska. I drive a 1984 Chevy S10 single cab long box. I pieced together a budget system for it with three alpine 10” type s shallow subs, hifonics amp in a custom enclosure to the specs available behind the seats. Wired to 1 ohm. It absolutely pounds. My wife very rarely rides in my pick up as it doesn’t have AC. I took her on a date night a couple months back and she fell in love with the stereo. Now she wants one in her 2009 Chevy HHR. Unfortunately, I’ve been laid off during the Covid pandemic. So I’ve been unable to get anything put together for her as we’re surviving on her income alone. Just trying to feed our 7 year old and not get evicted. If I was to win this, I’d surprise her with it installed in her car and win husband of the year. Love the videos sir. Keep up the good work.

I have the dual preloaded sdr-12 woofers being pushed by a Skar 1500.1. Box came already wired at 1ohm. They are an upgrade from my Rockford Fosgate P1 12s. The difference was like night and day!

Just bought one of these scar loaded boxes. Only running on a cxa400 Wich is doing about 600 watts at 1ohm. Sounds really good. Even if sub doesn't last I love the box and I'll throw in a kicker R . Because I have a new one laying around. But so far I love it. In my commuter car so wasn't going for anything I was afraid of being stolen or needed alot of electrical

I had that same 1200 watt star audio amp. I had it for 3 days before it got stolen out of my Chrysler Crossfire. I had it hooked up to one f8l 8 inch sub. I got the amp off of ebay. I was so disappointed. I bought another one after that happened. And my friend was in need of an amp, I let him borrow it cause my car was in the shop at the time. Ive known him for years, He was supposed to give it back when he got a new amp. I haven't seen him since that day. I guess he got his new amp huh? What a friend...

I have an 08 Cadillac DTS,it had a system in it before but I just can’t afford one right now with the kids starting school so I hooked up my old bose house speakers to it. They have a little bass but I would love to have a sub and amp again. Had some nice systems when I was young now I’m 45 and raising three grandkids but I still like to hear and FEEL my music. Now, im 33 and just 2 months ago I found and bought the same car I used to have and fell in love all over again! My Astro has been broken into they smashed my column but luckily didn't get it started and it's been hit twice by semi's turning down my street so a little upgrade would be nice lol. For the people saying that this amp gets too hot and it's not clean power. if you set the gains properly and have sufficient power running into the amp you won't run into any of these issues trust me I've been banging this cheap little amp for some time and it's still going hard

I work at a Hospital, I would put it in my 1999 Ford Expedition work vehicle so I could Slapp to work and home from work. I also would put SMD decals on my car. I drive home around 12:30 am and love listening to music on the way home, but out of respect for my neighbors I turn it down when I get close. I highly appreciate your videos. If anyone is on the fence about Skar, don’t be. Skar audio makes great stuff for the money. I have two Skar 10’s in my WRX and it’s ridiculously loud.

Those Skar subs can take a beating. I've been putting 1600 watts to 2 Skar SDR subs that are rated for 600 each and they've been taking it for months.

I think it can if tuned right but the sub is only 600 rms what are you going to run it at 1 ohm or 2 ohm

I'm originally from Omaha, Nebraska. I moved to Atlanta in '95 and fell in love with hip-hop and bass. My current car is a 2022 Lexus es350 f sport with the Mark Levinson sound system. That Skar sub and amp would compliment my existing speakers and add some back massagers to the rear seats!

I have this amp and two 8" sdr. I'm afraid I might burn up my alternator or stock battery with this setup. Can anyone help me know if this 1200.1 amp is too big for a stock electrical on a 2018 Chevy Spark? Is there any after market alternators for it? Like mechman? Thanks for the video!
I don't know how he doesn't go deaf with the sound of all those machines constantly. Music is one thing but constant noise of those machines over a long period of time is worse.

Its Steve and Sara from Middletown Pennsylvania, Bought a 2006 Nissan Xterra from my sister, with blown speakers. Replaced the two front speakers with some cheap Pyle 6.5 component sets. I just turned 40 this year, and after replacing the door speakers it brought me back in time when I was totally into car audio systems. Another reason I want this set up is to prove my Best Friend there is nothing wrong with the Skar system. I've been looking at this speaker and Amp for weeks and weeks. I know they preform great, but he just don't have the faith. My best friend is comparing the Skar to his JL W13. The only reason I haven't purchased it yet is due to lack of funds, but when I do get a amp and sub, I still have my 4 Gauge wire and remote cables still from 22 years ago.

I drive a 1984 Chevy S10 single cab long box. I pieced together a budget system for it with three alpine 10” type s shallow subs, hifonics amp in a custom enclosure to the specs available behind the seats. Wired to 1 ohm. It absolutely pounds. My wife very rarely rides in my pick up as it doesn’t have AC. I took her on a date night a couple months back and she fell in love with the stereo. Now she wants one in her 2009 Chevy HHR.
Unfortunately, I’ve been laid off during the Covid pandemic. So I’ve been unable to get anything put together for her as we’re surviving on her income alone. Just trying to feed our 7 year old and not get evicted. If I was to win this, I’d surprise her with it installed in her car and win husband of the year. Love the videos sir. Keep up the good work.

I have the dual preloaded sdr-12 woofers being pushed by a Skar 1500.1. Box came already wired at 1ohm. They are an upgrade from my Rockford Fosgate P1 12s. The difference was like night and day!

Just bought one of these scar loaded boxes. Only running on a cxa400 Wich is doing about 600 watts at 1ohm. Sounds really good. Even if sub doesn't last I love the box and I'll throw in a kicker R . Because I have a new one laying around. But so far I love it. In my commuter car so wasn't going for anything I was afraid of being stolen or needed alot of electrical

I had that same 1200 watt star audio amp. I had it for 3 days before it got stolen out of my Chrysler Crossfire. I had it hooked up to one f8l 8 inch sub. I got the amp off of ebay. I was so disappointed. I bought another one after that happened. And my friend was in need of an amp, I let him borrow it cause my car was in the shop at the time. Ive known him for years, He was supposed to give it back when he got a new amp. I haven't seen him since that day. I guess he got his new amp huh? What a friend...

I have an 08 Cadillac DTS,it had a system in it before but I just can’t afford one right now with the kids starting school so I hooked up my old bose house speakers to it. They have a little bass but I would love to have a sub and amp again. Had some nice systems when I was young now I’m 45 and raising three grandkids but I still like to hear and FEEL my music. I am from Torrance California and I would throw it in my 2000 Chevy Astro. One of the reasons I found your channel is because of your video of your Astro being broken into. My Astro has been broken into they smashed my column but luckily didn't get it started and it's been hit twice by semi's turning down my street so a little upgrade would be nice lol. For the people saying that this amp gets too hot and it's not clean power. if you set the gains properly and have sufficient power running into the amp you won't run into any of these issues trust me I've been banging this cheap little amp for some time and it's still going hard

I work at a Hospital, I would put it in my 1999 Ford Expedition work vehicle so I could Slapp to work and home from work. I also would put SMD decals on my car. I drive home around 12:30 am and love listening to music on the way home, but out of respect for my neighbors I turn it down when I get close. I highly appreciate your videos.
