Shahr ibn Hawshab reported: I asked Umm Salamah (radi Allahu anha): "O Mother of the Believers, what was the supplication that the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) used to say most frequently when he was with you?" She said: "The supplication he said most frequently was: 'O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion!'" [Hadith: At-Tirmidhi]
"Ya muqallib al-qulub thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik" (O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion)
Here's a tip, put a pair of slippers specifically for the toilet. That might help with certainties to the best of our abilities.
Allah bless you Sheikh and may Allah keep us on the correct path. May Allah help us to conduct ourselves in the best of ways and keep us steadfast especially with our Salah. ❤
"O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion":
"O Turner of the hearts!" i.e. You are the one Who directs them to obedience at times, and to disobedience at others, and to heedfulness at times, and to heedlessness at others. "Keep my heart firm upon Your religion!" i.e. make it steadfast upon Your sound religion, and not swerving from the straight path.
Jazaka Allahu anna atyab al-jazaa Sheikh Assim. We ask Allah Azza wa jal to protect you and make your heart steadfast, Allahumma Ameen
Make Duaa for him and those alike

He is my friend in school I know him, he converted me to Islam, he is a good guy but struggles with his thoughts (OCD) sometimes
slamalykum
Yunus if you are reading this (I hope) please do to things my brother:
1. Always do morning and evening adhkar as much as you can (sheikh has a playlist "Fortress of a Muslim"). Shyataan will not touch you if you religiously utter the adhkar
2. There may be a chemical imbalance and there could be a need to see doctor and get medication. There is no harm to fix your anxiety and OCD with prescried medications
I used to have OCD and even if they brought the most knowledgeable scholars for OCD people is not enough. The problem is the brain and yeah maybe sometimes devil but not 24/7 becz OCD is disorder that messes up your life. i believe advice is not enough just like what the sheikh is doing.
I will show him this, he is my friend from school, he converted me to Islam, he is a good guy but struggles with OCD sometimes
We ask Allah Subhanah to keep us safe and sound from worries and to relieve us of distress and anxiety, for He is the All-Hearing, Ever-Responsive, and He is the Ever-Living, Eternal. May Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam and his family and Companions radi Allahu anhum
OCD is no joke, but you have to learn how to live with it in the right way and ignore it. Because the cursed Sjaytan is playing with it to doubt, to stress, to make your life more difficult especialy in your beliefs as a Muslim. And the main mission of the cursed Sjaytan is that you leave your prayers.
OCD is a joke shaytan plays on you.
@@ZEinmishal Again i like to inform you that there are indeed people who realy have and suffer from OCD disorder because of the function of the brain and been born with it, or from a traumatic event in life. You can not ignore simply OCD totaly because in most cases and with most people it is the cursed Sjaytan who is source of OCD. There are people who suffer from OCD as a real sickness that has to needs to be analyzed and treated by both a doctor/psychiatrist and medication to balance the function of the brain. OCD (al-waswas al-qahri) is a kind of sickness and he should seek treatment for it by means of ruqyah (recitations) from the Quran and Sunnah as prescribed in Islam, and permissible medicines. There is no reason why he should not go to a Muslim doctor whose religious commitment and knowledge of Islam can be trusted.
@@ZEinmishal You're ignorant on the topic so don't talk and humble yourself. OCD is real, shaytan is simply taking advantage of it which doesn't dismiss the mental condition.
@@GostocEmporium OCD is a joke, Andrew Tate was right about it.
@@ZEinmishal Andrew Tate is not a Islamic scholar even if he is a Muslim now. Our scholars say that in the most cases the OCD is a result of a bad manner of haraam habits that people do to themselfs and Sjaytan has fooled these people by their conscience. But there are real cases when OCD is a real mental problem of the brain function without the fault of the person himself. There is a Sahih Hadith in Sahih Bukhari that says:
" Ibn `Abbas said to me, "Shall I show you a woman of the people of Paradise?" I said, "Yes." He said, "This black lady came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, 'I get attacks of epilepsy and my body becomes uncovered; please invoke Allah for me.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said (to her), 'If you wish, be patient and you will have (enter) Paradise; and if you wish, I will invoke Allah to cure you.' She said, 'I will remain patient,' and added, 'but I become uncovered, so please invoke Allah for me that I may not become uncovered.' So he invoked Allah for her."
And we know that epilepsy is also been attributed to the Sjaytan who cause people to have these attacks. But in this Hadith the women is free from fault and it is a sickness. Also epilepsy you have it in differend forms, some make you unconscious, and some type of epilepsy make you confused. So mental sickness is real!
Maa shaaa'al-laahu laa quwwata 'illaa billaah, Baarak Allah Lak Sheikh Assim, Ahsan Allahu ilayka wa taqabbala mink
"YOU MIGHT BE ADOPTED"💀
OCD is an actual brain related problem. There's even medicine to cure it if one goes to a doctor.
"Allahumma musarrif al-qulub, sarrif qulubana 'ala ta’atika" (O Allah, the Turner of hearts, turn our hearts to Your obedience)
A sweet Shekh you are! 😊
Abdullah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Ās (radi Allahu anhuma) reported that the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "Verily, the hearts of all human beings are between two of the fingers of the Most Merciful as one heart; He turns it wherever He wills." Then the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "O Allah, the Turner of hearts, turn our hearts to Your obedience." [Hadith: Muslim].
He needs a psychologist n a psychiatrist basically
Barakallahu feek.
"O Allah, the Turner of hearts, turn our hearts to Your obedience": This is an invocation to Allah Who turns hearts to always turn our hearts to His obedience.
The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) informs us that Allah, the Almighty, controls the hearts of His slaves as He wills. None of them is beyond His control, and nothing He wills can elude Him. So the hearts of all slaves are between the fingers of Allah, the Almighty. He directs them to whatever He decreed for them.
I feel with him
The problem OCD is mental illness but Devil adds little spice
