Awesome Sheikh. Been listening to him since I was young. May Allah continue to bless him and increase him in his blessings. Ameen! Please make dua for my dad as well, who passed away 6 years ago.
Awww this episode is a gem! Jazakum Allahu khayr. My Mum الله يرحمها passed way 3 months ago. She loved listening to Skaykh Assim’s Q&A responses. And when Shaykh mentioned Shaykh Tawfeeq As-Sayigh … goosebumps … as we’ve been blessed to have prayed behind him, a number of times with my Mum. May Allah bless her with al firdaws.
At 52:09, the sheikh is asked about music and says "beautiful but haram". This is the correct way to approach this dunya. There are things you will find beautiful and will want to engage in, and will want to declare to be halal so that you may enjoy it without the guilt of disobeying Allah - yet what is haram remains haram, and to say it is halal is more dangerous than to engage in it and then repent, as sins which you do not repent from can take you to jahannam.
this is not the correct way at all - please delete your comment and don't mislead others. you're supposed to hate haraam and hate whatever displeases Allaah! [Allah has] ... made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience - Quran 49:7
@@user-yf5je1dn1q We hate haram and we hate seeing haram and we hate disobeying Allah, but these things are not mutually exclusive. When I see a woman with a beautiful body revealing herself outside, I can find her body beautiful all the while hating the fact that she is disobeying Allah, not wanting to do zina with her while still being able to receive pleasure from it etc.
Hating what Allah has made haram is not always necessary to please Allah. I too find music to be beautiful as I have been raised that way having been a non muslim till the age of 25. Now, I don't listen to it knowing that it is Haram and that it displeases Allah. End of the day the choice you make to please Allah is all that matters. When a person leaves a sin in the fear of displeasing his Lord is praiseworthy in the sight of Allah.
In the example you provided, you're not supposed to have those thoughts of the woman at all. Please reflect on what you've said. You're not supposed to receive pleasure from looking at a woman's body unless it is your wife. You are not supposed to think about her body being beautiful nor are you supposed to find her act of immodesty beautiful. You're meant to lower your gaze. Haraam is supposed to be hated by you - not romanticised. Would you say shirk and people creating presents/offerings for their idols is beautiful because they decorated those offerings with flowers ???@@lucidniprogramer589

48:27 you’re saying that women shouldn’t file for divorce if they’re being abused just because he provides for her? And why did you automatically go to the assumption that women will work as prostitutes? To any women watching this, know that you are strong and you can absolutely file for divorce. My mum did the same and while we are struggling financially, we are happier than ever alhamdulillah and we know that one day in sha Allah we will be able to provide for ourselves with the education and work experience we are getting. We are not “prostitutes”, we are care workers, university students, interested in the charity, policy, and legal sector. We are human beings. Don’t ever let anyone tell you to stay in an abusive marriage. Muslim men love to make women feel less than human, worthless and dependent on those around them, but you are so much more than that. ❤️
He always says these shocking problematic things. People should know who they are bringing on not every man who puts on a religious rove is a scholar. A scholar is supposed to be wise and this man is anything but wise in fact he lacks empathy too.
In my opinion the Interviewer was too fast and not coherent and was difficult to catch on what he is trying to convey. Maybe its his way of speaking or accent not sure
He shouldn’t have disregarded a valid fatawi just because “you can’t do that” he can say I don’t agree, I think the correct fatwa is.. and list the evidence in a respectful way because there are more knowledgeable people who have said this fatwa I am presuming by what he said so like just a little respect for them and for this knowledge. Just how the rest of the mathaheb that disagreed with the fatwa did.
I'm not sure why, but the Sheikh seems to be downplaying his own stature, even though he is undoubtedly among the elite scholars of this generation...Anyways jazakAllah Khair to the host and the guest.
