Moving to Alaska was a 75th birthday present to my husband Frank lol. It was his dream for over 40 years. So I can surly say dreams can come true!! We sold our house in 3 days had 2 weeks to get out. We hired a moving co to pack us up and they even packed our trash. Lol and No home to go to. I went on line and found 3 but 2 were sold before we could get it so we ended up in Soldotna and we are so happy we got the best home and the best view. We have been here 6 years now and love everything about Alaska. Your friend Judy from Soldotna Alaska
i told my husband on our first date i wanted to be a stay at home mom. I kinda can't believe he didn't run away....lol.. we laugh about it now 25 years later but we have VERY traditional roles in our house and I LOVE it!!
Really enjoyed this video! Caleb is a handsome young man! I hope non-residents don’t think we get paid to live here. We don’t. We only get a percentage of the profits off of Alaska’s oil. Some years it has been under $700 per person up to this year when it was over $3000. And this was a rare year. Love your story❤️
My youngest daughter gets hives in the cold as well. I didn’t know the name for it though. We really do have so much in common. We are also a Dave Ramsey family. Cash is king! We have been married 22 years and we both agreed that I would be a stay at home mom, I never wanted to be nothing else. I was a latch key kid and I didn’t want that for my kids. We just made a lot of sacrifices over the years to be a single income family. My husband is like Aaron, working at work, or working at home, he isn’t a sitter. 😂

I've been watching your channel for a short time now. Today, this one came on after your most recent video. I wish I had found you a year ago! I happened to be up outside of Wasilla in September for my Grandma's 100th birthday. I went back in January and cared for her (with my mom) until she passed. I LOVE it up there!!
That was such a honest and cool Q&A . I had the privilege of staying home when my kids were young and loved it ❤ my husband still is working but I decided to retire and back to love being at home. My pantry is so full with canned goodies I put up that I smile when I go in there. I feel like I know you a lil better so thankyou for sharing your life with us! I enjoy every video I have seen 🎉

Oh wow, thank you for the great QandA. I have a dishwasher but haven't used it in 10 years. It's just a wasted space in my kitchen now because I was washing my dishes before putting them in, then feeling like they came out dirty so often washing again. And, just like you said, now that I no longer use it I almost never have dirty dishes. I also loved Julia and Martha and all I ever really wanted was to be a wife and mother, which is why I feel my life has been wasted and grief that I never had a family because i was so busy working and traveling for work in my 20s and early 30s that it never happened. I stupidly didn't even realize I was running out of time until it was too late. And a lot of that was from people, especially my mother, pushing me to work and not focus on personal relationships. That's what she thought she wished she had done instead of having a family, but I can almost guarantee she wouldn't have been happy to wind up all alone in life like I have. I should have been smarter and made a plan and not run out of time, that's on me. Ir was my responsibility to figure out what I needed in my life and I didn't do that, I just kept plugging along, trying to make it from one business trip to the next, without being introspective about what is truly important. I feel like I should be making PSAs for young women 😀 basically saying don't be like me, don't put off the important things because time goes by far faster than you realize.

@@modernhomesteadalaska Thank you very much for your compassion and understanding! I think you raising 4 great kids and building a strong, happy marriage, while making a comfortable home for your family is the most wonderful life I can imagine and I am sorry that you spent years feeling like that wasn't enough when, instead, it was everything. I am glad you are happy now and, when the time comes, you will make a wonderful Grandmother. 😊

Well goodness that was interesting!! I love learning how someone ended up where they are so this video was a real treat! I like the choices you've made to protect the privacy of all your kids, Kudos to you! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the Q&A. I loved hearing all the answers to everyone’s questions. But most of all, thank you for allowing us all to follow along on your family’s journey. God bless 💕
Hi Jessica, I am with you on the dishwasher situation, I have one but never use it, total waste of time and effort. I am new here so am still getting up to speed with what you're about so thanks for this Q&A, I can't believe some people ask personal financial questions, so rude! The log shed is awesome, when I was a kid we spent our weekends logging, I hated it then, I think I wouldfeel differently about it now. I am so glad you followed your dreams and are so happy. Alaska is so beautiful, Take care x x
Absolutely wonderful to get to know you and your family better dear Jessica. The Lord definitely had his hands on you and Aaron in getting your home. To know "This is where We belong " must be a comforting feeling. You have all done a marvellous job making it such a special place. The hard road getting there, in life, just makes arriving so much more precious. Bless you all and take care from the UK 🇬🇧 Paula. Oh hey... have you put your registered for the moose programme? If an animal gets hit by a truck or train the State goes to a list of people to come and collect it. It's free too, but you have to process the animal yourself. I thought it was a wonderful thing for the people to take advantage of. X
Love the q&a. I recently moved from the Sacramento valley to the Sierra Nevada. I’m not one who likes cold but as I’m retired it’s much easier to deal with cold. Love being outdoors me and my dog hike whenever possible. Love your attitude on being a mom and wife. Two things I wanted when I bought my house was a fireplace and close to town. I also don’t have a dishwasher for all the reasons you don’t. Thank you for answering these questions I watch several Alaska channels love the beauty of Alaska. You are one of my favorite channels love your attitude and luck forward to your updates. Bless you and your family❤️
No dishwasher!!! I abhor, (yeah, abhor!) hand washing dishes. You are a better woman than me! I bought a dw that does not require washing off before loading-I hate even rinsing them off. Love your show!
I have a dishwasher and I never have any dirty dishes in my sink. I only use my dishwasher on Thanksgiving and Christmas. And I totally agree with you, the dishwasher doesn't always clean the dishes fully.
Thanks for sharing your life with us. I look forward to your videos each day! I do have a question....can you share your bread recipe with me? I do sourdough, but I'd love a quicker load. Yours looks amazing! Thanks Jessica!!
I made you recipe and they came out fantastic and delicious!! Thank you again for your recipe! Since the recipe makes 2 loaves, can I bake 1 loaf one day but keep the 2nd in in fridge to bake the day after or do both need to be baked the next day??
Hi Jessica! We also quit jobs and sold pretty much everything we owned to move to Alaska. We got here, on the Peninsula, in early 2021 and lived in a camper through most of that Winter. Only 1 of our kids chose to make the move with us but i video chat with them regularly. I STILL dont have an inside shower though. Lol But its 100% been worth it!
We lived In Fairbanks for 4 years ( hubby was military) and it was gorgeous. It was super cold and many struggled with dark winters. I love winter though and could’ve easily stayed in Alaska!
I enjoyed this video. That’s good that you respect your children’s lives!! Also the respect you and Aaron have for each other. Y’all really work hard and it’s teamwork!!
The kitchen you are describing was something my ancestors (french from Montréal Québec) were simply called a summer kitchen. You need that kind of kitchen when you cook with wood stoves. It was done at the beginning of the colony and people kept using them until the electric stove were used by the majority
Awesome video! I am so happy that you spoke about being a stay at home Momma and wife! It is honorable and actually quite courageous to trust God to provide for your family and choose your family first. It is the most important places to be as a Mom and a wife to me. The world needs more strong women speaking out about staying home and what a wonderful and fulfilling place it is to be. I wish more women would listen to their inner voice (God 😉) and be proud to choose to be home. Love all the things you said about protecting your children and letting them choose what to put in the videos. Great job on your homestead! You and your family are impressive! Many blessing on you and your family! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Get a whistle coffee pot fill it up of water. Put it on your wood stove and use it for your dishwasher. When I turn my hot water hearter on it takes forever to get hot.
Omgoodness Jessica…..I wish we were neighbours. It took me 62 years to finally get to where I always wanted to be….a housewife. I too have no dishwasher. There is only two of us but when u make everything from scratch you make lots of dishes. I really don’t mind doing dishes so it works for me too. I have so enjoyed getting to know you. Thank you 💕🇨🇦
Oh my stars! Thank you for ALL the information. I find that is valuable to me right here in the Midwest. My family has started large food purchases and preparing long term food storage. So thank you for the advice on that subject. Gods Blessings for your family.💜
Thanks for such a nice visit. We are doing all the major pre winter buckling up here. Plus with grown children who live a couple of hours away, things have settled down so much. Have a good evening and see you soon. ❤ Momma G
Thanks Jessica 🙂 really enjoyed the Q&A. Good points on the dishwasher, I'm going to try your challenge...gosh I just frowned to myself LOL, crazy huh?
It is hard to grow corn unless in a greenhouse. Tomatoes grew great outside at 11.5 mile kgb. Raspberries grew wild on our property strawberries gre well also. Potatoes were yummy when we grewthem
With my sle lupus I was getting hives severely and it was causing swelling in my lips and face. I had found that zyrtecs and Gold Bond cream with the .5% menthol was lifesaving for me. That Gold Bond menthol in it just the menthol soothe My hives like you wouldn't believe. Like soothed it. Also I have found that CBD with menthol help so much with that so hopefully this can help with you as well
My husband & I are planning to move to Alaska, so I definitely appreciate your content. I too wanted to be Martha Stewart & I remember watching Julia Child as a little girl. I love being a stay at home wife and taking care of my husband and home is my happy place. ☺️
Fun q&a! My my kids were born in Lakewood Colorado at Swedish hospital. I don't even know if it's still called that or is even still standing. I reacted the same way when I moved from Colorado to Texas and let my safety net for snow days slide. Well, it does snow here in Texas and snow isn't the only thing to prepare for. We all saw that in 2020! It got me back in gear and UA-cam helped me find people like you for encouragement and inspiration. I appreciate you and your family so much!
I'm a single woman about to turn 50...and I still want to be a "stay at home," instead of having a "great" career. I've been so blessed that God has given me a "great" career previously and also a number of instances to work online at home, or to have flexible times these days. I try to remember that every day and be super grateful for that. All glory to God. I'm so happy to be home and doing all home things. And it's my goal to do that more and more, if it's God's will.
I love how when you explain how you both were able to afford this dream. Mum did the Mum things, Dad did the Dad things. Rolled it all up for years and years, valueing each others worth to the partnership. You're both blessed that you found each other. Even while you explain it, there's Dad stacking firewood. Not to take away from Mum's work, but just a perfect example of why you 2 work well together. Fire cooks food, keeps warmth. Dad make wood for fire. Mum grow's garden. harvest garden, make food. Fish together. Hunt together. Family Happy. Be blessed.
Thank you!! Being a wife and mother I feel is what we were intended to be through marriage and that it is a very important job. I could never see having children and letting someone else raise them, my opinion. I have often felt unless I worked outside the home I was looked down upon even after my kids were grown or they were old enough for me to be able to work outside the home. Amen sister.
Thank you for sharing❤ Alaska is really special and a unique life. If you have never lived here it is very different from the rest of the Lower 48 states in so many ways. We are in anchorage but hoping to close on a house in the valley within the next month. So excited to learn from you moving forward.😇
Thank you so much for an interesting and informative video, its so interesting to learn how people live in different parts of the world to us, my hubby has always wanted to emigrate to either Alaska or Canada, sadly when we had the children it was impractical, but now that we should be able to health issues mean it won't ever happen 😢. But I am taking on board a lot of your advice and adapting them to our life style here in the UK. As you mentioned I'm beginning to start to prep for disasters because of Covid, it was a real awakening for many people.
This was very interesting great to learn about your family and move. Thank you for sharing. Good luck and be careful of the storm you are about to get it's supposed to be the largest storm that hits Alaska be safe.
@@modernhomesteadalaska yes, be careful with such a severe storm. I thought about you and your family when i read about the storm. Prayers for all in it’s path! 🙏🏻
Oh yes I totaling agree with the dishwasher! It wastes sooo much time. I don’t have one and don’t want one. A microwave is unhealthy and I don’t have one of those either. Love ya 💕
I have hand washed my dishes my whole life until 2 months ago. My hands have gotten to where I physically can not do dishes by hand anymore. I have a dishwasher for the first time in a decade and I love it. I just put everything in and when it's full I turn it on. It's energy efficient and water saving. The dry cycle has a sterilization option that I do use. Lol. 5 or 6 years ago I would have agreed with you about dishwashers, now my hands have gotten so bad it is literally my only option now. If not for my hands I would totally still wash my dishes by hand. Lol
I wanted to send you a recipe you my Mom's stuffed pepper recipe 8 Green peppers Slice the top off remove the stem and use the top to enclose the stuffing, 11/2 to 2 pounds ground beef 3 cups cooked rice, 1 large yellow onion, chopped, mix the ingredients and stuff the peppers and put into a large 6 quart Dutch oven, or stock pot. add 4 cans Campbells tomato soup plus 3 cans water, 1 teaspoon marjoram, 1 teaspoon salt, and pepper heat to medium and let cook on top of the stove, basting the soup over the peppers every ten minutes, cook for 60 minutes. I noticed you mentioned that you did not have a traditional recipe for Stuffed Peppers, and for all you do for us on your channel I thought I could add my family's favorite growing up.
That’s how I ended up in Alaska. I came visiting a friend. It was not planned at all but I saw my little cabin and just had that feeling you had. I prayed and asked God that if this was his will, then make a way. And he did. I closed on my little homestead in Anchor Point in June and will move all my belongings here next month. I’ve never been more happy than I am now. And like you, I don’t like leaving lol.
Wow this is awesome! I felt the same way when looking for my home. I had a friend with me and we walked through it I look at her and she knew I had just found my home. Not Alaska but the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. Will pray for you that your move is safe and easy❤️
Great Q&A. You have given alot of great advice. I'll have to check into different programs about PCA (personal care assistant)work. Bcuz I work with my son whose on the spectrum. I'm not ready to put him in a group home. And he wouldn't understand why mom left him behind somewhere. So if our family moved he'd have to come with. Everyone would be ok with the move. Then I'd have to check into the SSI. Bcuz he'll always have it as income, no matter what. As for buying property there, I have made friends with a couple who just bought a 20 acre property for $11,000. I wish I could find something like that. Would be ideal. They're farther inland, closer to Fairbanks. They travel back and forth from Michigan to Alaska every year. They haven't decided where'd they'd like to live more so they have a home in Michigan and are going to build a little place in Alaska. I sure envy them. And now I envy you guys. So excited to see how your living life there. I'm sure enjoying watching your vids.
I have a dishwasher and I never have dirty dishes in my sink. I do not prewash. I scrape them really well. Everything goes in there. If it can’t go in the washer I don’t buy it. I regularly lean my dishwasher inside and out. To each his own but I wouldn’t be without my dishwasher
That’s great! You are 1 in a million for sure! Never was the case for us and after a couple years of no dishwasher still think it was a great choice not to put one in. I only miss it when I don’t want todo dishes and want to hide the mess.
I am praying you and your family are all ok. Praying there is no damage to your homestead but most of all the whole family. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Grannt B
First of all I haven't finished the whole video but thank you so much for doing this video number one number two is there some type of rollers that you guys could use to throw your wood on top of and push it down into the shed while someone's piling it inside the shed? Also could you find an old treadmill and use that motor the slide the wood into your shed that makes sense you can find a belt of some sort that's long and you can use the motor?
So piling wood in northern Maine but we would do is for the first row we would put the wood perpendicular like making an equal sign and then we would put the wood perpendicular to that and make a roll and then at the end of the row make it equal sign. Then we would just put the wood on the next row and make like a tic tac toe meaning going the opposite way and making it look like a bunch of ones. I hope that makes sense and then the next row we would make an equal sign and then go perpendicular all the way down and make another equal sign that just made it more stable on the ends to hold the rose I'm always about working smart enough harder. Why not fill a wheelbarrow up and dump it and then go fill a wheelbarrow up again while your son piles the wood?
I think it has to do with our social media culture -- there are some that think that just because someone is on social media (or even in the public eye as a news person, actor, etc) they give up all their rights to privacy. And even think that because a person is on social media, the rest of the family needs to be ! Lack of respect for privacy -- and asking what someone makes for a living is down right rude!
Thank you so much, great Q&A video. I just have a big important question, how is the medical care there, are there good doctors, specialist? Thank you. This video makes me want to move to Alaska even more!
Well keep in mind we have only been several times! Lol A kidney stone, Caleb’s eye emergency and a few trips for other things to the local urgent care. We have had no issues. As far as like a specific condition I don’t actually know. But all of us have been seen in diff ways for different reasons and we have no complaints.
I don't have a dishwasher either. I don't think it can clean your dishes good enough. I enjoy washing them because I know I will be left alone with my thoughts. Washing dishes is my quiet time lol
I love that. When I first heard Dr. Laura on the radio I hated her but after listening to her for a while she started to grow on me and eventually I came to totally respect her and this reminds me so much of her advice.
Nope they don’t have an office and we tried for two months to get them to put propane in. The company moved it to Palmer and they don’t have a direct line. It was only then we decided to do it ourselves. Believe me we tried.

Well goodness that was interesting!! I love learning how someone ended up where they are so this video was a real treat! I like the choices you've made to protect the privacy of all your kids, Kudos to you! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you. I do what I can for them.
Thank you for sharing your life with us. Your homestead is beautiful!!
That’s very kind thank you.
Thank you for the Q&A. I loved hearing all the answers to everyone’s questions. But most of all, thank you for allowing us all to follow along on your family’s journey. God bless 💕
Thank you. Hod bless you and yours
Oh thank you. I’m sure they are wondering how to afford a life here. Lol thank you fir having my back.
Thank you so much! Yes btw we are on the moose list! Praying one comes through.
You seriously just reached in my shell and touched my heart. Thank you so much
No dishwasher!!! I abhor, (yeah, abhor!) hand washing dishes. You are a better woman than me! I bought a dw that does not require washing off before loading-I hate even rinsing them off. Love your show!
Lol well if that’s the case that’s the way to go then
I have a dishwasher and I never have any dirty dishes in my sink. I only use my dishwasher on Thanksgiving and Christmas. And I totally agree with you, the dishwasher doesn't always clean the dishes fully.
Agree
I completely agree with you about career stuff. I now put on forms "homemaker" and am perfectly content and don't feel guilty anymore!
Best job in the world!
Thanks for sharing your life with us. I look forward to your videos each day! I do have a question....can you share your bread recipe with me? I do sourdough, but I'd love a quicker load. Yours looks amazing! Thanks Jessica!!
Oh yeah here I got my sourdough from this. ua-cam.com/video/kApf0dFfqnw/v-deo.html
@@modernhomesteadalaska thank you
I made you recipe and they came out fantastic and delicious!!
Lol
But its 100% been worth it!
Oh wow see we are like minded! Throw in the towel and chase a dream. Happy to know we are not alone.
We lived In Fairbanks for 4 years ( hubby was military) and it was gorgeous. It was super cold and many struggled with dark winters. I love winter though and could’ve easily stayed in Alaska!
Oh man. You know we have the highest population of retired military. So maybe some day.
I enjoyed this video. That’s good that you respect your children’s lives!! Also the respect you and Aaron have for each other. Y’all really work hard and it’s teamwork!!
That’s the greatest compliment! Thank you!
I am so glad to see Caleb is doing so good.
We are with you on that. Aaron and I still are not quite over it.
I have enjoyed getting to know about your family. Thank you for sharing even if I'm a few months behind.
Thanks for talking about your oldest. It was a question I had. Thank you. Your fam is awesome.
Fantastic idea!
Your dishwasher theory is 100% correct!!! Often the dishwasher here serves as a nice big drain board!
Exactly! They are always that.
Thank you 💕🇨🇦
Wow thank you! Come on over!
Oh my stars! Thank you for ALL the information. I find that is valuable to me right here in the Midwest. My family has started large food purchases and preparing long term food storage. So thank you for the advice on that subject. Gods Blessings for your family.💜
Yeah I’m so happy it helps anyway at all.
Thanks for such a nice visit. We are doing all the major pre winter buckling up here. Plus with grown children who live a couple of hours away, things have settled down so much. Have a good evening and see you soon. ❤ Momma G
Thank you Momma G!
Thanks Jessica 🙂 really enjoyed the Q&A. Good points on the dishwasher, I'm going to try your challenge...gosh I just frowned to myself LOL, crazy huh?
Lol 😂 thank you so much
It is hard to grow corn unless in a greenhouse. Tomatoes grew great outside at 11.5 mile kgb. Raspberries grew wild on our property strawberries gre well also. Potatoes were yummy when we grewthem
Great thank you. Good information.
Also I have found that CBD with menthol help so much with that so hopefully this can help with you as well
Get I’ll look into it!
Absolutely fabulous Q &A loved it 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love from the UK x
Thank you so much!
Hello from Cheyenne, right up the road from Littleton! Born in Fairbanks and really enjoy watching your journey!
Thanks! I'm sure you've seen some crazy Alaska weather!
My husband & I are planning to move to Alaska, so I definitely appreciate your content. I too wanted to be Martha Stewart & I remember watching Julia Child as a little girl. I love being a stay at home wife and taking care of my husband and home is my happy place. ☺️
Yeah you will love it here
Hey Caleb and Kodie were both born at Swedish. Thank you so much fir being so kind!
You are truly an inspiration. First you give the glory where it belongs and love the life He has given. Many blessings on you today.
@@modernhomesteadalaska Thank you, Jessica! Blessings to you as well.
@@Hope8x28 That sounds like a great life (minus the mowing). ;)
It's fun to watch your adventures!
Be blessed.
Wow thank you that’s such a beautiful picture.
We just recently found your channel and we really like your family and your values. Thank you for sharing a little bit about yourselves.
Thanx Jessica for everything you share.. I love watching your adventurs. Love from Holland.
Hello in Holland! Thank you so much
Thank you so much that means so much.
Enjoyed this video very much!! Look forward to following along on your families adventures!!
Thank you happy to have you here.
Thank you for sharing❤ Alaska is really special and a unique life. If you have never lived here it is very different from the rest of the Lower 48 states in so many ways. We are in anchorage but hoping to close on a house in the valley within the next month. So excited to learn from you moving forward.😇
Yeah congratulations! It’s an amazing life!
I totally Agee with all you said. Seeing it makes us realize we are more alike in was then different. And the Big Fat C better teach us something.
I love your experience. I am so enjoying vicariously your experiences, please keep this up! Thank you!
Yeah that’s amazing so happy to have you.
Just started watching your channel last week.. love it! I'm from Loveland Colorado! Hopefully move to Wyoming in our cabin in 5 years!
Hello snd Welcome!
Awesome show. Thanks for the heads up.
Thank you!
This was very interesting great to learn about your family and move. Thank you for sharing. Good luck and be careful of the storm you are about to get it's supposed to be the largest storm that hits Alaska be safe.
Oh wii oh e that’s not going to be fun!
@@modernhomesteadalaska yes, be careful with such a severe storm. I thought about you and your family when i read about the storm. Prayers for all in it’s path! 🙏🏻
We don’t have a dishwasher either. I don’t miss it. I try to cook more from scratch. Your channel is a great inspiration! Thank you.
Wow thank you so very much
Thanks for the Q & A! I loved hearing your story. It was so interesting.
Have a great wknd!😁
Thank you so much! You do the same!
Oh yes I totaling agree with the dishwasher! It wastes sooo much time. I don’t have one and don’t want one. A microwave is unhealthy and I don’t have one of those either. Love ya 💕
I know exactly! We didn’t have a microwave for almost a year my son went and got it himself. Give a little take a little.
Lol
Always and exception to the rule. I’m happy you have the help.
Love the Q&A! ❤
I just came across your channel, and I am so glad I did. Absolutely love your videos so far.
Wow that’s amazing! So happy to have you.
Yummy I’m snapping this. Thank you for sharing
Nice getting to know you better..thanks!
Thank you.
That was a great video. Thank you so much!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
That’s how I ended up in Alaska.
See not just us. When God calls and makes a way hold on it’s going to be beautiful! I’m so happy for you.
@modernhomesteadalaska thank you!
Wow this is awesome! I felt the same way when looking for my home. I had a friend with me and we walked through it I look at her and she knew I had just found my home. Not Alaska but the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. Will pray for you that your move is safe and easy❤️
Preach!! God bless you Mama!
TY for your candor ❤
Sending love from Ontario 🇨🇦
Thank you so much
Love what you guys are doing up there!!
Walmart has coffee pots. You can order a large coffee pots at Cabellos
Agree! Lots of places have them.
Thank you for your great time for us!!
Yeah happy you are here.
Hope y'all are away from the storm that is coming toward Alaska. Be safe.
Yea thank you we are very far from it.
Such great information
Wow thank you
Thank you for sharing your life with us. ❤️
Any time! You are welcome!
Thank you I hope you find your place.
HI JESSICA! WE ARE SEEING ALL THE FLOODING IN ALASKA ON THE NEWS! PRAYING YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE OK! 🙏
Thank you. They need the prayers. We are very far from there.
Very interesting video, enjoyed
I have a dishwasher and I never have dirty dishes in my sink. I do not prewash. I scrape them really well. Everything goes in there. If it can’t go in the washer I don’t buy it. I regularly lean my dishwasher inside and out. To each his own but I wouldn’t be without my dishwasher
That’s great! You are 1 in a million for sure! Never was the case for us and after a couple years of no dishwasher still think it was a great choice not to put one in. I only miss it when I don’t want todo dishes and want to hide the mess.
This is really fascinating.
Thank you
I am praying you and your family are all ok. Praying there is no damage to your homestead but most of all the whole family. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Grannt B
Thank you. We are so far from the storm but many are devastated by it and need our prayers.
Great idea and good questions.
Really enjoyed this.
Thank you so much.
I've never owned a dish washer, for one there's no room in the kitchen for one as I'm UK it's a washer and dryer in the kitchen. 😊
It’s so funny when we see that. We have rooms for our wash.x
Great information!
Thank you for watching
Good for you, I do have to say some people are so noisy.. some of the questions are wow!!!
Lol they just ask what other wonder. That’s my guess anyway. Thank you for watching.
Hi Jessica & Aaron and Family., Thanks For Sharing I wish I would have saw this Q & A 9-16-2022😊
Thank you for watching.
Awesome q&a ❤🙏
Thank you so much
If you are happy, that there is success xx
Amen! We are so happy!
I love your channel ❤️ My favorite state is Florida 🌴
Yeah hello!
The porch and outdoor kitchen sounds very promising looking forward to seeing the future improvements.
Thank you! I agree.
@@modernhomesteadalaska thank you.
I don't have a dishwasher either. I don't think it can clean your dishes good enough. I enjoy washing them because I know I will be left alone with my thoughts. Washing dishes is my quiet time lol
I don’t mice it either if they are stayed up on. It’s when the pile and pile and pile. All because you are waiting on a dishwasher.
I don’t blame you for keeping your finances private.
Its such a strange thing. Right.
Before you speak Think!
T- is it true?
H- is it helpful?
I- is it inspiring?
N- is it necessary?
K- is it kind?
I love that. When I first heard Dr. Laura on the radio I hated her but after listening to her for a while she started to grow on me and eventually I came to totally respect her and this reminds me so much of her advice.
Fun video!
Thank you
Well I’m glad that you mentioned your oldest son. I wondered Caleb is your 2 son.
Yeah.
Isn’t America propane still in Wasilla on the Parks Highway? And don’t they still deliver?
Nope they don’t have an office and we tried for two months to get them to put propane in. The company moved it to Palmer and they don’t have a direct line. It was only then we decided to do it ourselves. Believe me we tried.
