Y does this song make me cry. Donna Jean is beautiful. Jerry looks o so happy.
What are the better ones
Man... if I was alive in 78' this would have been a good birthday bash.
Some people don't like Jerry's shot voice but there's something about it that makes it even better.
I was a teenager in the 70s. Music was so awesome. Great times. My first son was born in 78.
Agree with you 100% my friend.
One of the best recordings of Sugaree. Capitol Theatre has so many great memories. Every great band has played there.
Something special about this one. Long live the dead
Dieses ist für mich die beste aller "Sugaree" live Versionen. Fantastic gespielt. Himmlische und so gefühlvolle Gitarrensolis von Jerry und Bob. R. I. P. Jerry
in 1978 I had the same haircut Bob did! I was 4.
Thats a cool cut
My all time favorite,JUST love that E/B....
Where’s my GNU Family ??

Was there, gold tickets, invitation only. what a night
Great shows at the capital .

YUMMY 🎶✌🎶💖🎶😇🎶🌹🙃
Damn I Miss Jerry!!
Miss you too Buddy
Miss him too. I remember that ke two perhaps three days orvso after he passed im from vt. I was coming out of of a store on st John's bury vt and I saw his double walking over to his car. I did a double take ! Identical it was really trippy . Ill never forget that ever! It was like he resurrected from the the dead! I got goose bumps up my arms. I'm curious if any one else had the same experience after his passing over the rainbow bridge? I really would love to know
Any dead heads out there that saw his double? Any where in the world 🌎 I would love to know if anyone has.
To cool, and remember girl shake it.
OMG
Aw man look at him grooving away
Keith does a nice job here.
He never failed. Subtle, intense, always away from the spotlight, but definitely unique and irreplaceable.
Jerry's voice was shot and he knew it from the first vocal, with look over to Weir.
Jerry sometimes had “laryngitis” for many months at a time. See 1978, 1984, 1985
@@777jones it’s a little something called cocaine and heroin
Yeah... laryngitis..., from chasing that dragon
Bronchial pneumonia. Left him stuck with the "old man voice" for nearly the rest of his life.
Just checkin in……….
Bobby taking a page out of Greg Lake’s book with his gum chewing!
Ad breaks as choruses begin - yuk
🤠❤️⚡️💀🌹🎸🇺🇸
Bob Weir never gets any credit for his slide playing.
An ad in the middle, not cool.
thanks but can't take the commercial interruptions. shame on whomever for interrupting this classic.
That's why they charge for UA-cam red/premium, no commercials. You're paying for it up front, lol.
Dammit Phil
Ads during Sugaree should be punishable with serious jail time.
I think maybe Bobby wrote for Frankie...
donna Jean godcheaux mountain girl
Ads.....lame, back to my ad free personal vinyl collection.
Anyone know why Jerry always wore sunglasses inside in the Fall of 78.
Cocaine
Probably polarized to help him see in low light situations....
Adds in the middle of Sugaree.....
I may be wrong, this was about 6 years ago, maybe a little less. I had a channel and posted a couple videos and was at the time able to monetize them. There was and still might be an option for when to place ads in videos that surpass certain durations. If that is still so, either many people aren’t able to navigate and optimize for best viewer experience, or they just simply don’t care and want as much money as possible. Lol just throwing that out there, its a very common occurrence and I couldn’t take it so I got premium (can’t do Adblock don’t have a computer). But I see these comments all the time, even on otherwise very good channels that share live shows and what not.

Why, Donna
Well...she sounds in tune here
..
Jerry always sounds like he’s late for a bus but just wanted to stick this last song in to get a paycheck.
What does that even mean?
This is around the time Jerry Garcia started smoking heroin.
started in 72
Who cares?
