I find this useful because I can listen at several times the speed I can read, so I just take this and crank it up to double speed so that I can blow through a chapter in a fraction of the time that it would normally take. Also I can go for much longer without exhaustion.

I've been listening to this for about 3 hours now(normally can't survive more than 30minutes) and lemme tell you whoever is narrating is doing a spectacular job! my guy talks in like the perfect tone and volume to be relaxing, but still keep you awake. That's not it tho, he actually changes his tone a little for when someone else is speaking so it's very easy to follow along without having to visually read every word! Thank you for giving us this content it really made this book that I had to read for class something enjoyable!

I’m listening to this as I read an actual print copy and it’s helping me not get distracted from either. So if you have to read this for English, or summer reading, or just for fun, I recommend reading with an actual copy even though it has the scrolling text. I just find reading it in the print version is easier for my eyes than reading on the screen. And 1.5x reads it faster without the words sounding super sped up and run together.

Good language skills are best learned early. Reading and hearing well written prose from an early age would have taught you not to say, "Me and everyone else here..."
Remember that THIS IS THE UPDATED VERSION! If you’re supposed to read the original version, you should have that nearby when you’re writing done quotes and stuff. I only noticed a few small changes. For example, the updated version adds a lot of talk about God. If you see a line about relying on the strength of god, double check with the OG version.

🛑PSA❗❗ For those in English class, you can do 2x speed, but if you can hear and read faster, you can get a chrome extension called "video speed controller" that allows you to play videos at 2.5x, 3x, 3.5x, basically any speed you wish all the way up to 16x speed! You can literally read this book in two hours if you wish lol.

I'd love to see a totally faithful version of this book on the big screen. The Kenneth Branagh version was close, but it was a flat production. Come on Guillermo Del Toro, you know it makes sense!!!
