By the way i did my research and the KZ are made by the engineer of Audio technica, he teamed up from a famous musician from china so now they make them there so it allows the prices low!! take advantage before it goes up
Just a heads up the 425's disconnect at the earbud (they just ship already plugged in), and I'm hearing from friends that a cable upgrade for the ZST is pretty easy. Just a heads up if these are a budget option or backup pair!

I’m a bass player / backing singer, one of my Shure 425’s ear buds bust mid gig and had to be sent off for warranty repair (can’t fault Shures warranty- they’ve been back twice(!) and returned quickly). I had a gig coming up and bought myself a cheap set of ZSTX on Amazon as a back up. Blown away by the sound of them, I’ve since had my 425s back and I don’t like the sound of them - now permanently using the KZ’s. Didn’t believe they could be better hence coming across this video… but I’m definitely an advocate for these now. The bass response and clarity is 100%
In a full band mix the Chinese one with the hyped up bass is gonna be mud, I'll stay with Shure, especially when you start out with a good clean signal from a modern digital board to begin with, apples to oranges dude.
The zst blow away 215s in every regard for sound. Shure has the best cables going but the upgrade cable for the kz is OK but still not shure level. But I am blown away for sound quality. But maybe just go whole hog and get the ks10s. The ks6s have the best bass but are have really high highs but may be the ticket for drumming. Hope it helps.
WintaFresh from other people I have heard that these are a better option to the 215s for the money. But here is my new review for this. The wire is too short so get the upgraded cable with the ZST.
