Absolutely superb work as always. It's a true pleasure to see a job done so extremely well and I totally appreciate why the client is so delighted with your work. Fantastic work. I've got a similar space down the side of our place which the previous owners covered and it's falling apart. Huge amount of inspiration from this now and I know what my next project will be!

really interesting! we are trying to do a side extention but trying to find an example of a lean to roof with the gutter and rafters built with in the two walls rather than sitting ontop....does this only work structurally because its a light weight roof. Would you be able to do a similar detail if it was a glass roof or solid roof?
Is the timber that the rafters are attached to on the gutter supported enough to take the with of the roof? I was looking to do similar and a builder friends had concerns that the rafters weren't supported enough. Beautiful build, congrats.
Hi Thomas, There's plenty of support for the roof. The wall plate which forms part of the gutter is securely fixed to the wall. This in turn is supported by 4x4 posts which gives support from the ground up. That roof is going nowhere 😎 Hope this helps. All the best, John 😊
