Sheffield my second home loved the place in the 80s and 90s so many characters and places I will never forget.
Every time I think that I've run out of True Crime podcasts Shaun drops another banger. Love it!
What other true crime podcasts do you watch?
@@grizzer30 I've been watching a podcast called Delinquent Nation, loads uk prison stories recently. What have you been enjoying?
@@djspark191 just this one and the James English podcast which isn't true crime I know. I will take a look at them you mentioned has I like the true crime stuff
@@grizzer30 If you see James English, please could you get me two 99's with flakes, chocolate sauce and chopped nuts on one, just strawberry sauce on the other, and a cider apple lollipop please. Cheers mate 👍🏾

ENJOYED this one sheffield people are hardcore! missing the sheff wed trial! He seems like a top man!
A top man ?? Robbing off normal hard working people haha Hes a little feeble weak individual thats never done a days graft in his life FACT.
Loved this pot cast with Claude! Could listen to him all day! Brilliant
Thank you Clyde, really appreciate your story, thanks as always shaun
Been pals with Clyde over 30 yrs .
Forget the crimes the lad was easily good enough to play for any top football club.even international level 👍
Good to see Sheffield represented on the podcast
Really enjoyed this one, you can tell he’s not a bullshitter.
But I bet you can't tell that he's a police informer
@@glenroyfray5764 no you can't, do you really think that he is?

Lived in Sheff my whole life, Lowedges, Handsworth now over S5, grew up 80s/90s and 00s.Good Times 🤣. Should get someone on and do something like this about the well publicised Postcode Wars
Too bad cohen brothers are in jail imagine their story’s they would have to tell
👍
What a great guy Clyde seems to be. I wish him and his loved ones all the best. I would have really liked to meet Paul Sykes, what a character he must have been. Well done Shaun, another wonderful podcast bud. 👍🇺🇲🗽🏴👍
It still hurts emotionally to be burgled, even if he didn't beat people up. 30 years later I still can't leave anything to chance, after being the one to find we'd been burgled as a school kid. He caused some harm even if it wasn't physical.
Agreed it happened to my family when I was a small kid ,I remember coming Hm and as we lived in a flat one way in one way out with my mum they pushed us both on the floor to escape,
My dad was someone you didn’t mess with and went and proper hurt the guys who did it .in fact it went on for years ,every time he saw them clowns in pubs he would backhand them ,then say I’m gona do this every time you are in the same building and when I retire my son will inherit your pain for robbing our house.
I didn’t,I was offered a good few grand to leave the guys alone,I accepted and gave it my mother .
I think they learned their lesson
@@roughready5554 Props to your Dad, he earned your family a few grand extra by doing that.
I caught the burglars trying to break in as a kid.
Made me well para that for a while.
@@Combustion47 There's an element of drug habits driving some to burgle.
@@timothydraper6626 True but ive been one hell of a rabid drug using junkie at times but never even thought of Burgling someone's gaff. Its not needed.
Love the fosters next to wildmans photo. Bet that stays there 💪💯
Should be a can of special brew Wildman wouldn't drink that shite 🤣
The split second he said the words "Bed Packs" my heart sank. F***ing Wetherby....
I grew up around Hillsborough... As it happens a poignant day today 15/04/21, especially with Clyde mentioning Sheffield Wednesday and giving me an extra reminder of the stadium.
Memories of a Liverpool fan lifting me off a fence in Hillsborough park after a spike went through the crotch my jeans and I was hung up... I'd been fishing in the park, heard all the sirens and commotion... 32 years ago YNWA JFT96
what a great podcast with clyde ..it was reality not bollocks gangsters...my life was very similar but we never burgled houses that was a no no...
I absolutely loved this podcast.
thank you so much
The chap named Freddie Mills he mentions was in Armley in 1981, I accidentally stood on his toes in church one Saturday morning before a film, my arse dropped as i apologised, he gave me a blank look, doubt he even felt it ..
Really good interview Shaun, with a very interesting fella.
He literally lives straight across the road from me, watched me grow up. Sound guy
suprised the melt didnt burgle ya house.
Can't believe what IME lissening too as I was in Lindholm around that time, I was doing 3 year for doing a Bradford mucky face!
I worked where the solicitors would come in to see and visit the cons and ide have to go see if they wanted to buy the con a drink and a packet of crisp and take the money 💰 I loved that job lol. That was one of the best prison's I've been in. Love you guys you've brought back some good memories and believe or not lok IME sat with my misses in the greater langdales near Ambleside in my campervan having a ball drinking whiskey lol yep top guys love your true story's man 🥂👍
I was born in Sheffield I moved to Australia when I was 8. Never been back him.
"Nah den dee. Geor will da" (Excuse me. Will you stop that).
BIG UP SHEFFIELD UTB
R8 footballer old Clyde, him and Harry Roberts from Shiregreen were both class acts😊
Enjoyed this podcast, cheers Shaun 💕✌
Dodge pots! hahaha bang down to earth Sheffield its an ace accent. Best town up North I reckon.
Nice guy....but.....burglarising people's homes wrecks their lives. Robbing people on the streets is terrifying for the victim. Robbing isn't "earning money", it's stealing. Clyde, any remorse? You don't express any apart from spending time in jail away from family.
Nice to hear an accent from my neck o' woods! :)
Miss the old days up in batemoore, this fella was a legend lol
How come they'd make a legend out of a thief?
More to the man than his past fella 👍

He's from Sheffield which is in Yorkshire, so yes Yorkshire accent
Other cities in Yorkshire call us Dee Daas, cause we replace 'th's with Ds, our accent is the best in England 😄💪

Loved Clydes accent. He could coach actors. Great podcast! Thxs

It's sad because of the school system some kids loose their self esteem and turn to crime xx

I was in Hull with Clyde in kitchens. Top lad. Loads of charisma
That Sheffield accent is disappearing as the younger generation want to talk like 'gangsta' rappers.
Big up Sheffield

No mate it Wass along time ago
I was in Doncaster only doing 6 weeks for weed, so I told them I was a alcoholic junky to get on drugs and took off them.. I thought that will be 2 weeks gone fast.. I was eating my dinner out on landing with everyone and someone mentioned it burgling people so I mentioned the worst burglars are crackheads because they burgle the people they live with and the neighbors no one safe near a crackhead because they want a hit now next minute I find out the whole landing want to kill me and think I'm a police officer planted on the landing I had 16 lads trying to be me up in myself they were all worse off than me I climbed under the bed and booted out there kneecaps,.. the screws came asked me what's going on they checked my records thinking I was a child molester and seen having for growing weed ask me what I've done all said I told them what I said he agreed with me and said it's true but you're on a detox landing and everybody in here our heroin addicts and crackheads in for burglary mostly their neighbors that's how they got caught moral of this story is the true hurt kneecaps as well now so I've got something back for you all
Hope you see through my wording talk and text for me showed I can't talk English... Hope you understand lol x it's all tru x
WHAT ABOUT THE FUCKIN RECIEPTS!!!!????

Yes,paul sykes ended up homeless,as for people or friends helping him its not as easy as it sounds to help a "personalty",like paul,it is what it is as they say.

No way would Sykes beat the duffer in a fight no disrespect to paul Sykes but lee Duffy was the boy back in the day Boro boys all the way
I have been in prison with both and got on well with both they was good to I was little so I got looked after but it would be close very close
Paul was a professional boxer fought for British and commonwealth titles on that basis paul would have done him your from Boro so it's natural for you to say that
Yes I think I have got to go with you on that and he boxed from been a kid
South bank is more Redcar than boro.
