After a while it will be second nature and you won't even think about it. It's hard when you are learning because people tend to over think it. Once you have it you have it. Nice video.

That's so true! It does become second nature but seems like the hardest thing in the world at first. Nothing is better than practice.

You don’t need a stick to practice transitions.
Just get out there and practice
You can practice your skating in an open skate, without a stick, or look for a "stick and puck" where they will let you skate with a stick.
