The entrance of the Orbonne Monastery in XIV, up to Mustadio's battle, is exactly the same as in Tactics, from the door, to the place where we leave Ovelia to go to the first fight!

First off, I apologize for this taking....5 months longer than it should have. I definitely wanted to release this before FFXVI and I made it just in time! That being said, if I missed anything, DO let me know in the comments! Also, any other references I missed in the previous videos, let me know! There is going to be a Part 2 of "What I Missed" video.

The Tactics references in the Ivalice raids brought me to weep many times, it was amazing to hear all the music again, as it was one of the very best p[arts of an already great masterpiece, but the last tier consisting of Mustadio, Agrias, and TG Cid, along with Tactics original final boss, was mind blowing to me, and when ach boss was defeated before Ultima, they transform back to their normal selves, and to see them after so long, once again, it was a very emotional experience. Beating Ultima has you greeted by not only those members, but all the other members youve had along the way, the various characters each player created themselves showed up and man what an homage. There hasnt been another FF game with direct interaction of a main character with us as far as I know, and man was it powerful. I know it isnt canon to Tactics itself, but it felt good to help Ramza again after all these years.

Yeah, my fangirl heart was living for the whole raid series.

@@IKMcGwee yeah mine was too, especially for tactics, a game that got very little love, considering all its sequels tried to stay away from the serious dark tone it took, as far as I know at least.

@@osurac14vlb yeah, I mean if you read really between the lines of FFTA you get a main character that doesn't want his friends to dream and wish and forces them to confront their misery head-on, but that's more people taking it outta context. Funny though, it's sorta the reason the FFTA2 protag is a happy go lucky side kick though.

The UA-cam algorithm has spoiled me with this series of videos. Ivalice stands to be my absolute favorite setting (no bias, right)? Seeing all of the references and then the raid series brought tears to my little fangirl heart. The soundtrack is top tier and that story, just sooooo good. I was happy to see some closure between Ramza and Delita after that long period without. XIV kept Ivaice alive and well. I should probably get back to replaying FFT again at some point. Good hunting out there, adventurers! See you on the trail!

It looks like your quest as not ended yet. There are reference of Final Fantasy 14 in Final Fantasy 16. One example is the Orchestrion Jukebox.

These raids were my favorites since it showed a lot of the espers in FF12, but its cool to see the original inspiration of ff12 in Tactics.

You should try doing a video on the other square games that have references in ffxiv, stuff like the mana games and the saga games

From the top of my head I remember that the bird boss in Eureka Anemos "Pazuzu" is a reference to the game 'Final Fantasy Mystic Quest' from the SNES. It might be worth while to check it out. Per chance there are more references in there that I don't recall.

I know the espher designs are based on FF12 so those would not count for Tactics games.
I would like to know specifically which monsters are the ones based of Type 0 in Bozja (and Zadnor I guess)
Thanks again for these videos, looking forward for more!

Yeah unfortunately with how dead Bozja and Zadnor is right now and with the limited time I have atm, I couldn't get them in. I'm definitely going to try and see if I can get more of the models for the What I Missed video for sure!

@@Sacrengard Unfortunately atm yeah, everytime I went in, there wasn't a lot of players on, even when I swapped DCs. and with the new patch and XVI coming out, I think I'm going to have to wait until we have another lull in content

Mystic Quest needs some love. While not the best or deepest FF game I always felt it shouldn't get the hate it does.
