Thanks a mill Johnny, I couldn't agree more, taking on and off gloves and trying to get the angles whilst covered in a lovely black mesh :) Got there in the end though, should help a good few people.
What I do to stop shit going into the engine is I made a pipe for my shop vac . It sucks the crap up and so it doesn't have chance to fall back into the engine. Sorry my grammar is shit. I've just had a stroke and had to learn to read and write again. Life's never dull. Thank you for the video.
Good idea be for using the injector seat cutter, is to vacuum inside first ,place hose pipe taped over vacuum tube to get most of that crud out of the injector port, Then your best placing grease around the cutting part of the tool, this will stick most of the carbon and metal to the tool and stop it falling through.
Hi I fully get the cutting tool just bought 1 but in the kit it has a pilot hex ? It clearly is shaped similar to an injector with a hex tip for a sicket but what's its purpose ? Hate asking this I feel a plank . As most tools I know well Cheers
@@kevinhancock4064 Not sure what kit you got as there are a few types out there with more than other items, in one kit to another, In some kits you might have similar to what you describe, it may be for dropping into the injector port hole down the bottom to block the hole up, so when you reground the injector port no metal can drop through the hole, at the bottom, it should end up slightly lower, so you don`t cut that bit at the same time, Once you have ground the bottom of the injector port you use a telescopic magnet to get the thing back out the port hole, but in your case, you might have a long tube thing with a hex shave to get it back out of the port hole. If this is what you're describing then make sure you use the correct size you should have different sizes or else it might drop through the hole and then you would be in the sh-t,,

Hi you mention that as being number two injector, I have a ford fiesta 1.4 TDCI zetec ,2008, I have been told that on my engine number 3 is the one you taken out not number 2 , the mechanic told me that on mine, standing out side in front of engine looking at the car 4321 is the injectors,
I honestly don't check the engine 1,2, 3, 4 number layout when referring to how the ecu sees it, I only look that up when I would need that information for a practical repair, misfire, injector fault etc.. When looking over the engine from my POV I always go left to right as a reference for the viewers watching so I can explain as I show different cylinders.
Very useful video, just one thing, Is this engine numbered Right to left or left to Right? I thought No1 Cyl is nearest to the gear box on this engine, not that it matters for the purpose of this video
Refitting the cam cover/intake manifold to the four ports in the head can be a real pain! Be good to know if there's anyone with tips to make this easier?
Simply give the engine and engine bay a good clean before staring this kind of work. Otherwise there is a very big risk of debris falling into sensitive areas and causing unnecessary problems.
I agree Stuart if you have the time, or in a garage since the customer has given the approval, a clean is a good plan. In other methods a vacuum can be used (we have a commerical grade one in house) with needle nose fitment to help as well.
I took an injector off to clean it and now the car is not starting, all the injectors are not spraying, there is pressure in the rail but the injectors are not opening. Help me please
