    Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was truly one of the greatest players to ever step foot onto an NBA court and he only ever needed one move to do it. While other NBA Stars like Kyrie Irving, Hakeem Olajuwon or Stephen Curry have a deep bag of tricks to get them points, all Jabbar did was just reach over the defence and use his "sky hook". The shocking part about this is nobody could stop it. Kareem would win 6x Championships, 6 MVP's and played for an incredible, 20 seasons.
    Join me as we dive deep into Kareem (originally Lew Alcindor's) life an NBA career, how he learnt his signature move, why no one could stop it and if he should be considered the greatest of all time over LeBron James or Michael Jordan.

    Sky Hook had a 50% effectiveness. And was unguardable. The only other unguardable shot I cant think of is Jokic midrange-on-the-move floater. That thing had a 60% success rate.

    I cant say no one could stop Kareem because when i seem him go against Wilt Chamberlain he blocked his sky hook 3 times and this was when Wilt was old on the Lakers at the end of his career Kareem was young. If it was you Wilt vs Young Kareem i think that would've been a whole different story.

    Saying “all he did was one move” is blatantly stupid and flat out disrespectful.
    It doesn’t really matter if this video praises his greatness when both the title and the description paint such a blatant lie.

    I have one issue with this report. Calling the sky-hook „simple“ misrepresents how much skill and training this shot required. How difficult it is to master. You need good positioning, excellent footwork, you need to do it with both hands to be effective. There is a reason why no one else used it as their staple and money shot. It is freaking hard.

    Without the 3 point line LeBron is nowhere near the points record

    • @TyroneNBAFan
      @TyroneNBAFan День тому +2

      Without a single 3 pointer, LeBron would have 38,040 points. That's around 300 points away from Kareems old record.
      LeBron would break the record about 10-15 games into this season.
      I know LeBron haters are simple and emotional but do a tiny bit of research before running your mouth.
      Also to the author of this video; Agreeing with these types of comments is distasteful and intellectually dishonest.

      @derpyderp1991 День тому

      @TyroneNBAFan you subtracted how many 3's he's made not how many points those 3's are worth 2,410 3 pointers is 7,230 points take that away from his regular season total and that is 40,474 minus 7,230 points means without the 3 point line he has 33,244 points total in the regular season GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT YOU IDIOT OR DON'T POST AT ALL

    EVERYONE IS DUMB... Kareem gets so much love for the Sky Hook... WHO THE FUCK SHOOTS A FINESSE SHOT WHEN YOU ARE 7 FEET 3 INCHES & THE BEST ATHLETE ON THE COURT (he could run, he had great balance, he good jump)... without Magic Johnson, Kareem lost to 2nd Round Pick Shorty Gus Williams in '78 & '79 playoffs... Kareem is like Queen in that they chose to be finesse players when the obviously correct route was to be a power player relentlessly attacking the rim like Shaq & MJ... Kareem & Queen did not want to do the hard work of bangin' by the basket (6-5 Charles Barkley wasn't scared), and thus obviously not better than MJ and i would argue Olajuwon was better than both of them (The Dream beat Kareem in '86 when the Lakers were loaded with 2 more #1 overall draft picks Magic/Worthy)... why everyone praises a finesse move from a 7-3 guy can only be explained by everyone being dumb... fax!!!

    Wilt Chamberlain was a better defensive player than Jabbar. A far better rebounder. Nobody saw him as Chamberlain on offense and Russell on defense. .
