I love the MIG 29!! It looks great and yet it performs incredible. I think it's one of the most beautiful jet aircraft ever built.

wow...the maneuverability of that thing is just nothing short of f**king incredible...in fact, I think you'd see the limits of the pilot long before you saw the limits of the plane.

Yes, is interesting to caht with him when he's around, immigrated here about 8 years ago, some of the ideas for what the Flanker was to become are intersting to say the least. The F-22 on teh other hand, too expensive per plane, and the keep getting grounded. One interesting tidbit for you..majority of the F-15 fleet grounded due to cracks in airframe by the airbreak.
wow never knew the mig could fold it's wings i knew the su could but never knew they used the same design for the mig,great vid music was good too ^^

alexi.. actually humans can stand 7 to 9 G's but not for a sustained time. All fly by wire aircraft ( F15,16,18,22, etc.) have over-ride to keep the aircraft from exceeding max g-loads in excess of 9-12 G's. This keeps the pilots from passing out and crashing, and helps eliminate structural stresses on the plane.

i was making a point that even though the F-22 has some stress cracks and tech problems does not mean it is a bad aircraft. we're going to fix it and it will be very reliable. so dont freak out buddy. :)

well Canadian Froces still flying the CF-18, only major mods are the spotlight on the starboard side. I highly doubt that the CAF will be purchaasing the Super Hornet since we are a partner with the F-35 to acquire them at some point....groan.
Armament is one thing, but avionics are another. Remember that the F-22 is an air-superiority fighter aimed at dog fights with other jet fighters, where as the MiG 31 is an interceptor. It was built for extremely high speeds to intercept intercontinental bombers, such as the B-52 in the time of the Cold War. I thus think that this is not a suitable comparison. Hence, I am not saying that either of the planes suck or rule respectively.
It was an F-117, and peices of it are on display in a museum.

yes, ur right, i been told that mig-29 have an analog computer wich restrain the g limits to 3, ( due to that is the limit tha most humans can handle ), but in test with the computer disabled the plane have proven to stand near 6g, thats a lot. dont flamme me now ppl -.- that is just waht i have readed ...

Only planes been up in have been the Tutor, C-130, and a few other types. Eurofighter tranche3, which Germany is getting will get all the night vision equipment among other things. As for the f-22, until recently they were grounded again because of a mechanical failure to do with the fly-by-wire system...again. Seems to be overpriced and not effective. As for the Flanker family, awesome friend of mine who works for the government now was a leaddesigner for that aircraft

not against Mig-29SMT or Mig-35 my good man. The only advantage the Falcon has over the Mig-29 are its long-range missile capability. On close fight, forget it better press the eject button, Luftwaffe's pilots advice ;).

MiG-29 and 35 Looks so nice way better than the USA one. But still Su-27, 30, 35, 37 Looks better. Not to mention their Su-47. MAN. THEY ARE HOT.

Doesn't matter that russian planes have complicated avionics and electronics are not up-to-date. They are surely the most elegant, most beautiful. Like Porsches of the sky. Why is war stuff sometimes so aesthetic?

not so sure about your assumptions, the F-18E/F and Block 55/60 F-16 are clearly better performers, but at best only equal to Mig-35. The F-22 sure laughs at everything in the air right now, except at cruise missiles heading to its hangars ;).

Impressive performance for a jet that was build on a budget, only 10% of what America spend on the development of the F-18A Hornet. Yet the Mig-29 completely outperforms the Hornet.
Imagine what the Russians can build if they spend the kind of money that Americans do on their jets

Well first off, best aircraft in world so far are the Rafale, Eurofighter, Su-31, Gripen, and the J-10..from the US..the F-22, when it's not grounded due to technical issues. As for the best pilots..tough call...last Top Gun competition was won by Indian Su-27's versus best instructors US could throw at them...lost for second year, and before that, the US lost to the Isreli's, before that, lost to Britain, and before that, lsot to Canada. Would seem they haven't won a topgun for a long time.lol

You guys need to stop making such a big deal out of the stress cracks and other things with the f-22, when the F/A-18 first came out it had horrible stress cracks in the alerons, they were breaking all the time, and the E/A-6B.....its wings were falling off! but because they were new at the time we worked at them and now they are some of our most reliable aircraft out there. i bet within 5-10 years the vast majority of all the tech probs with the V-22 and F-22 will be gone...so what now???
You are absolutely right! Fucking politics... Russian airplanes are superior than american ones! Do not forget that during the show the Su 37,30 MK pilots did challenge every fighter pilot at the show to engange a dogfight and the answer was NO!!! Su 37,30 and the new generation of MIGs are the best airplanes in the sky!!! Period!!!
not true, the U.S. Navy maintains that Speicher was downed by a surface to air missile. it was just a claim that unofficial report that the f/a-18 was shot down by a Mig-25 oh and dont forget about the two CONFERMED kills made by the f/a-18. i threw the f/a-18 out there because it is our worst fighter. i didnt hear you talk about the f-15 or the f-16 huh did i? and what is a russian pilot doing in iraq?
Vin you can be the first person to tell me when they actually use one of those manuevers in combat to take down an american aircraft. untill then i wont stop beleaving that american aircraft are supperior to all other aircraft. and about american aircraft preforming those maneuvers...we have test aircraft just like mig-29obt or whatever it is. f-15ACTIVE, f-16MAVT, and the f/a-18HARV

an f/a-18 would kick any russian jets @ss. any day of the week. and if you think that wouldnt, then the f-16 would, then the f-15, f-35, f/a-22. american aircraft and pilots are far supperior in every aspect. what you saw in this video was one of maybe 7 russian pilots that can fly like that. its not that impressive.
