All good points. I think Crousers full shot put training session he posted before last years indoor worlds would be a good place to look at the "sequencing" of movement which is what the intentional jump currently sabotages (Ryan alludes to the sequencing during his standthrows, specifically getting the right foot turning). Just like you mentioned I think planting the right foot more towards the center of the ring to widen his stance is also necessary and it would improve the brace of his left leg by lowering the hip...with the stance as narrow as it is currently it looks a lot like trying to turn a bolt with a wrench but gripping the head of the wrench instead of the handle. I also 100% agree he isn't holding back his shoulders nearly enough and I think it is linked with how he doesn't open his left hip enough when planting... here is what I mean => He is uncomfortable abandoning the "balance" of his left arm so it passively "sticks out" like a counterweight for the ball. Most elite throwers still have some of this tendancy in their form even at their peak (even Kovacs and Walsh to some extent but it has a lot to do with their orthodox spin where their body is more closely aligned to the axis of rotation). The only thrower I have seen that completely escapes that tendency is Crouser. I think aggressively reaching across with the left arm to keep the shoulder back makes it necessary to open the left knee out to the side so the left hip/knee/leg takes on the task of being the counterweight. The hard part is getting an athlete to actually do it that way :/

ua-cam.com/video/UEw-VMXeRPE/v-deo.htmlsi=BfJXEUAooNrtWBNl Thanks for the info! I haven't seen this video before and I learned a lot. I like analyzing these world class throwers without a lot of knowledge of what they are thinking and then getting their perspectives later. That way I'm analyzing based of what I see and not what they are saying. Seeing videos like this then help me understand what I've misinterpreted or reinforces what I think I'm seeing.
