One of the most insane game winners I've ever seen on TV
I see a video about this moment, and I stop everything, and I watch. Zero sympathy for UNC, felt like David vs. Goliath with such an EPIC ending!
As a UNC fan it took everything in me to not cry 😂 my senior year of college
I felt super bad for Marcus Paige after this one. Could have turned pro after his sophomore year, said he was going to stay all 4 years and get his degree, a lot of stupid fans started shitting on him when his stats went down the next 2 years (even though he was often playing through injury) and Roy had to defend him publicly and say he was one of the best leaders he ever coached. Then in the NCAA final when it looked like Villanova might start pulling away, he pretty much put the team on his back in the second half and kept making play after play to seemingly drag them to the title....and then Roy puts out Isaiah Hicks, one of the least aware defenders in UNC history, to be the guy 5 feet off Kris Jenkins on the last shot. Crushing.
