Question -- If black walnut saw dust and maple saw dust and yesterdays coffee grounds are mixed with total boat , are you doing woodworking or some kind of wicca spell ? ? ? Epoxy and wood , come on man 😥
I really appreciate your opinion on people copying or recreating your designs. Some people tend to have this thought that they are the best woodworker ever and nobody can do what they do. That sucks. Woodworking knowledge should be shared and I think someone recreating your work is possibly the biggest compliment you could receive on a piece.
Not when you're selling those plans to make money. Or someone is stealing your ideas to make tens of thousands of dollars. Yeah, I understand if some Johnny wants to to make a couple of his pieces bc he likes the designs. But not some company. And as for the guy that was selling the recreation of his table on market place for $400. That's cool. He's not making ANY money whatsoever off that.
Insomnia. That works for me as i finished watching this at 3 am. Thank you for allowing us to sell pieces from your plans. That really helps to justify the cost, which I hope to be able to afford sometime soon! 😊
I hope you see this comment but I kinda see it as a sign of accomplishment and success, just knowing that you’ve mastered your craft enough that others go out of their way to want to replicate it should/would be a great feeling
Sound effects are hilarious. Wanted to go to bed 18 minutes ago(it's late; the video isn't boring) and can't stop watching/listening. I chuckle every time a new FX shows up.
Woke me up after I’d fallen asleep watching blackmail studio, and though your voice is so soothing, it was not a cure for my insomnia. Beautiful builds!
Suffering from insomnia myself.. thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. Your sense of humor and delivery is outstanding... You are a very funny individual. Will be deciding on a desk here soon, and this video came along at the perfect time. Thanks. -who knew asparagus had so many family members?? -Dan D
Hey, I Don't believe people say it enough but thank you for all the information. I love to see how and what you're building so I can learn new skills. The extra little sound bits for glue and scraps or cuts were great, I look forward to your next video. My insomnia did kick in, but I was able to watch through my eye lids like you do for the joinery and make the Dominio transparent.
Man, all your videos are so inspiring. But not only the videos, the way you explain everything and talk about your passion… this planet needs more people like you!!
Sitting here trying to balance my admiration between the quality of work, the quality of the video and the quality of the narration. Totally enjoying this!
I don’t know about anyone else but I’d be happy to pay $5,000 AUD for the 2nd desk that was made… it’s a beautiful piece of woodworking elegant as well as simplistic minimalist design style…. the craftsmanship is top notch although not very technical it doesn’t have to be so long as attention to detail is spot on….
Love what I’m watching. From experienced to novice you do a really great job of showing what needs to be done and how to do it extremely well. 💯 You’re B-Roll shots of gluing up, cutting, sanding, finishing or joining are done really well except if you know what a pair of retro infrareds cost. And how they are coveted, as well as some of the other tires you’re rocking. Some of us IYKYK. 😊 Thank you for the hard work you’ve put into these videos and the pieces. It definitely shows. ✌️
When a Wood Worker moonlights as THE Narrator lmao. Love your sense of humor. And the fact you just stay monotoned and power through adds that much more comical relief to it. Great job. On both the table and the editing.
Offcuts....I love seeing all your designs and how you challenge yourself to do something different! I try to do this also sometimes easy projects and sometimes hard ones. Unfortunately, I work full time as a social worker and do not get much time to work on projects!
INSOMNIA - Great designs, phenomenal woodworking, and well put together videos. Forget about the haters. They can't even assemble Ikea furniture, and could never make something as finished as even the plywood desks you made. They are and at the world because they can't do it! Beautiful designs.
I just came off the tripple crayon video to this yucca. I enjoyed the last segment, it was very helpful to a beginner, like me, and when I grow up, I'm making your rocking chair. Thanks.
🤯 OMG! THAT TABLE. I LOVE IT. I WOULD DEFINITELY WOULD LOVE TO PUT THAT TABLE IN MY HOUSE. I WOULD USE IT EVERYDAY. LOVE THE COLORS AND WELL EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IT SCREENS OUT MY NAME
I'm a fan of the strung together format for this second...third (?) channel. I work remote and enjoy having it on in the background, kind of like a playlist, but without any extra delays. Also, idk where these over dramatized sound effects came from, but I love it lol
I think you are so good! Design ! Woodman skills! And last, but not least, your humor!! I haven’t seen your videos before, but I will sure watch more. Wish I was younger, richer and living on another continent. I would gladely be your apprentice for free. I’m so impressed!😊❤😊
I like hug you explain things don’t worry about the other jackasses. It helps me to be a better woodworker because you have more experience than I would ever have. Thank you for what you do. I love your work.❤❤❤
Nice compilation. A little surprised by the length, but my insomnia won out and I made it to the end. Definitely appreciated the extra little technical details. Well done.
Insomnia....great video. Took me a few days to get through it, but I liked the content so much, I was determined to see all the builds. Thanks for the inspiration.
Man. I really like the way you look at problems and life. I bet someone else would be mad about the copi of your pice being sold, and you took it like a pro. And that makes you better then every woodworker in you tube. Thank you for all the ideas, to be honest I been thinking to copi the spider table too since I'm taking a master pice class I think that would be a go9d project. Thanks again.
I'll start by saying this video was ridiculously long however, worth every minute. I then want to say that naysayers can go scratch their butts and show their work before critiquing your work. I know you call yourself 4 eyes but you have more eyes that jerks don't know about. You have an eye for detail and an artistic eye. I was a home builder that always prided myself in coming up with unique ways to make useful ways to use space. The sad part is that most people enjoyed having but never notice. My work was never as fine and artistic as yours is but like you I was always proud of my work. I would love to have some of your work in my space.
Your videos are very inspirational for me. Making me better woodworker. You got perfect ideas and good projects. Thank you for shering your hard work with rest of the youtube. Greetings
As to the slanted slab desk; bold and good choice to let the rot crack end abruptly. It looks natural in the finished piece. You choosing a bad slab at the lumber yard shows courage 👍👍 You dare take on the challenge of making nice furniture from "bad" wood. I tip my hat for you 👍👍👍... and big John did warn you, loud and clear. How anyone can talk ill of him for doing that is beyound me.
Appreciate it. And you're right. John is honestly one of the nicest, most fun people you could ever be around. I doubt anybody who actually hangs out with him would have anything bad to say. And if they did. He's pretty friggin' big. So they probably wouldn't say it to his face.
The sound effects you’ve added are fantastic. Thanks for the extra artistic flair. 😊. I’m only half way through the video so far but felt compelled to let you know.
Maybe the hater meant 300$a hr for labor??- im just trying to understand how someone could even THINK that 300$ total cost for tht masterpiece let alone say it SMH
Maybe they had family or friends make stuff for them and either gift the pieces or sold them for discounted rates? 😂 My grandfather made each grandchild a wood step stool. We also had several handcrafted wood pieces in the house, but my parents were very clear that they were both expensive and sentimental pieces to be treated with respect. The cost of the materials and the retail price for the final piece was explained in detail. It would’ve been easy to take these pieces for granted without their teaching, since many were my parents’ before they had kids.
I reckon it's someone who doesn't know what wood costs, and who doesn't know how much labour it takes. If all you've ever seen is Ikea furniture, then you won't know any better. Both tables are flat and you can put stuff on both, why is one so much more expensive than the other, they might wonder?
Just warched the L-table build. Very nice. Love your "science" test 👍👍👍. I think, the screwdriver could easily end up in the 1.st place as the most useful pr. dollar tool. Those gets used (ans abused) for a LOT of tasks, many of which they were never intended. Now I will watch some tv with my wife. I will for sure watch the rest of the video later. 👍🌞💪👍
That is a lot of work for the special order desk. I hope he appreciates it even though he had to pay for it. Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
The editing and asmr overlay is fricking entertaining…AND the final pieces are awesome. I would buy each one of them (just have to save up some money 😊) love watching your videos and the narrative is top notch funny

No better cure for insomnia than doing a little woodworking while watching some woodworking. Great stuff Chris!

Love the custom T you gave Blacktail. Fantastic.
I came for the woodworking but I’ve stayed for the quality of the narrative.
I’ve always found that yucca doesn’t help my insomnia. That’s why I like your work!
Yucca ~ I think what I appreciated most was the desk you built for your son
Glad you and your friend are planning ahead and continuing to support each other through life’s changes. ❤

Insomnia is what I have now waiting to get in the shop and build something. I appreciate your style and techniques…nice work!
This video did not cure my insomnia...but it showed me a couple of good ideas
What can I say? You are doing a great job both in the woodworking and the videos. Been watching for a long time. Thank you both.
Thank you very much!
Yucca and Insomnia is quite the word salad. Fantastic work! Would love to see more details on finishing.

Popped up in my reommended. Your work is awesome, and I agree, seeing a "fancier screw" makes it look more expensive.

Very entertaining to watch these unique designs come to life.
Thank you for posting.

LOL when you snatched the instructions from yourself lol. Awesome video brother
Thank you...I had actually forgot about even filming that until watching this stuff back. Crazy
