- This is my video tutorial for training the lateral abdominal muscles with the Bullworker Classic. In the gym the oblique abdominal muscles can be trained on a torso rotation machine. Few athletes have a comparable abdominal twist training device or a bullworker at home. Therefore, the torso is often rotated with a barbell while standing or leaning forward. But this rotation exercise does not have enough resistance to train the abdominal muscles enough. With Wood Choops, Russian Twists or Palloff Press with a resistance band or a cable pull there’s a different problem. Often the strength is drawn from the shoulders and not from the internal and external obliques! In my video tutorial, I show how to perform the abdominal twist exercise effectively and in isolation using the Bullworker.
Good exercise, and I think one of your own invention. I haven't seen this exercise before, and it shows another way that the Bullworker can simulate a movement that is performed on a much larger machine in the gym. It definitely needs to be added to the routine. Thank you.
