Dang was really hoping it was gonna be Rictor it wouldve really added more depth to his arc but I wonder if their gonna do something else with him since he was such a clear acolyte of Apocalyps. Like they shud still do something his Apocalypse relationship
This book feels so 90s/00s and not in the good way. The art is 90s throwback to the hey day of AoA and the Apocalypse Twelve arc (such a bad story). It's going shock schlock right out the gate. And Apocalpse's characterization just screams "ok, boomer". Someone in editorial said that too many Xmen villains have had good redemption arcs and that can't stand. Apocalypse could have been like Doom but on Arrako but this just seems so mustache twirling it's off putting. Apocalypse giving his earthbound Celestial resources and a massive Celestial power boost to another mutant is a great idea. Archangel getting another massive power upgrade would be awesome as the guardian angel of the world's evolution. But From the Ashes solits for X-Force say that Forge's mutant powers are boosted and evolved to not just see how to make tech but to fix the world. Almost like he gets a Celestial power upgrade. Same with Monet being in one of the main X-Men books, so she ain't dead. Imho, the best character for Apocalypse to choose is Cypher. He held Krakoa together when the great leaders were ripping it apart. Krakoa trusted him over all other mutants. He can see the bigger picture and still has compassion for the individual. He had no problem working against Xavier, Magneto and the others undermining the Pit, revealing Moira X, not to mention the man is best friends with a prince of the Phalanx and is just as intimate with the technorganic virus as Cable and Apocalypse. He is just as smart as Kate Pryde and in some ways smarter. Sunspot, Magik and Moonstar shouldn't be the only OG New Mutants to step out of the Xmen's shadow and onto the world stage. I want it to be Cypher. My second choice would be Archangel. I think the most likely is Forge
Post Krakoa comics have been lacklustre so far. Although it's still early days of this reboot, there is nothing of substance. I think Marvel made a huge mistake in leaving Krakoa. It was pointless in leaving, especially when it had a successful format. As for Apocalypse himself, he was a testament to why Krakoa arc.
So that leaves Cable, Cypher, Mirage, Gorgon, and Mr. Sinister. I'm leaving out Emma, Laura, and Forge since I'm certain they will survive, but also lose due to each of them being in new X-comics.
I'm someone who likes to suspend my disbelief and be on for the ride. It actually seems to be hard for editorial to make the right decisions for the titles since sins of sinsiter. But that also seems to be Marvel's problem as a whole. This is a pretty uncompelling ride. But this also shouldn't be the thread between eras.
It's bad that we get solicits so early. It really limits story telling and pay offs. I try to avoid them but I still end up hearing about most stuff just by being online.
Christ, can’t ANYONE stay dead anymore? They brought Genesis back? He was one of the few characters who stayed dead . He was big during the Onslaught era, and he was actually kind of cool. But still; it would be nice if SOMEONE stayed dead!
I know Evan died and weren't resurrected because he is a clone BUT after Gabby aka Honey badger/Scout died there's a change in rules about clone resurrection reason why Madelyn Prior was also revived along with Gabby so I don't know whether Evan aka Genesis was ressurected or not.

I like the character, but I think writers have too much of a tendency to turn bad guys into good guys. They succeeded with Magneto and Emma Frost, but they tried to do it with Sabretooth, Juggernaut (which still sticks), Blob, Pyro, even with Dr Doom and with Evan it's another way of doing the same thing. To create great, engaging villains is hard, so I think it would be better if most of them stayed villains.

Meaning just like how Gabby is different from X23 and Madelyn from Jean Grey it is the same case for EVAN which is different from [ä]/Apocalypse.

I'm sorry Ernie, but Rictor never made any sense. I mean yes dude is 100% drinking the Apocalypse Kool-Aid, and has been since their time together in Excalibur. But he's to kind hearted to be the monster Apocalypse is and do the things he does. Armageddon Girl is all about nature and I don't see her being the right fit to what Apocalypse does either. Cable should be there with Archangel to try and stop it cause they both know what a monster Apocalypse is. And specially Angel, knows first hand what it means to be an heir of Apocalypse. The only one among them that fits is Exodus, but he is a zealot of the worst kind and would make it a god chose us bull. But his dead now, along with Armageddon Girl and Rictor. Non of the others left make any sense as to becoming the "heir" to Apocalypse. I don't see it ending with an actual heir, and if it does it won't last long and likely in opposition to Apocalypse's ways. Truthfully, the whole idea is off from a character point for Apocalypse. I mean not only has this been done before, just now him apart of it, but his doing this cause people of Earth have rejected him and his ways. People have been rejecting and fighting against him since day one, so why suddenly give up now and just leave. What cause he now has Arakko, a planet full of mutants that worship him and his ways. Ok, but to replace him? If it was the Celestials that were picking his replacement then it would make sense. After all it was them that give him the job in the first place. He was all about shaping the world where he and his ways (survival of the fittest) ruled all. After Okkara, where he become peaceful then back to his warring ways, he was asked by his wife to prepper the next generation for the war against Annihilation. After it was the Celestials that not only made him powerful enough, so he can shape the destiny of the world in his image. But also charged him with ensuring that evolution takes its natural course in a line of Apocalypse's that came before him. Basically get Earth ready for the Celestials judgment. But he didn't fully go by the natural course, cause his pushed others to evolve on his time table. So Apocalypse looking for an heir is a mix of doesn't make a hole lot of sense, seems very self serving, and acting like its an honor to take up what that monster does. I've read X-Men Unlimited Infinity Fall of Krakoa/Externals. Which I've mention here before, and it started off good and was doing the characters right. Though they were acting a little off to how they are, but I figured that was cause Selene using them. But it started to feel like Steve Foxe or co writer Steve Orlando didn't fully understand the characters. Just given the last 8 issue or so didn't make sense, unless the Externals let the heroes win to stop Selene. But that was never revealed to be the case, and a bit of a continuity error with Saul being the oldest, cause that is actually Nicodemus. Just some of the stuff like that didn't make sense for the characters. And with Heir of Apocalypse its the same thing, and makes me think maybe Steve Foxe doesn't fully know the character. But, we're only 2 out of 4 issues in and who knows how this is gonna turn out.
