You drive so many cars on this channel I never knew existed. Thank you for what you do and the care you take in operating these rare and incredibly expensive machines!

Here in Italy the republic's president, has a Lancia Flaminia "Presidenziale", a 7 seater cabrio version, made in only 4 units and it's still used in some important celebrations. What Lancia made as cars and innovations, makes me sad seeing the present and the recent past.
The president of the Italian Repubblic has even today a custom made Lancia Flaminia for special occasion (Lancia Flaminia Presidenziale). Flaminias are special, like any other Lancia
This is *the most* beautiful car I have ever seen. Inside and out. Sophisticated yet not flashy. Thanks for introducing it to me. PS: driving in modern trafic without wing mirros. God bless you, Tedward.
Thank you for recording this! I've always wondered what it would be like piloting one of these, they're super-rare and I think possibly the best looking of the classic Lancias. I hadn't expected it to quite so "GT". Really interesting.
Personally, I think Lancia built some of the most beautiful cars ever made. So jealous of you getting to drive that thing! And thank you for being so respectful to these rare beasts!
Ughhh gosh Tom, I was just reading about this a few months ago. What a treat! It’s really cool that the Berlina saloon version was a luxury flagship sedan, even used by the Italian prime minister. Just shows how awesome and flexible coachbuilding used to be.
Man, Zagato's are just beautiful, haven't seen any car which didn't look great. Combined with the mechanical sound from the V6, this is pure bliss. Great video! ❤
As a former S1 Fulvia Coupé owner (a '69), I can really appreciate this. I had a similarly huge wood-rimmed steering wheel, and - after careful restoration of the Dunlop disc-brakes (the Flaminia had Dunlops as well), huge stopping-power. All un-assisted of course. And regarding the tacho - mine worked well, but there's always something not working on an Italian dashboard. ;-) My electro-mechanical Jaeger-clock was a pain in the behind to keep running!
what a nice RARE CAR?????STUNNING BACK IN TIME DRIVING EXPERIENCE.....LOVE LANCIA BRAND THE MOST ICONIC ITALIAN CAR EVER/////////EVER///////// TED YOU CAN DRIVE FOR US THE STRATOS?
I agree with Cole, the reason why you're My favorite car youtuber is because of the varitety of cars you drive but most importantly, the way You drive the cars is just so damn satisfying to watch, the care You take when driving all Cars, and, the fact that you inspire me to become a better driver and i start using your tecnique fo holding the steering wheel and i gotta Say it's absolute gold
Lovely! Lancia made such beautiful cars. Don't know what I'd do if I couldn't wiggle my shifter to verify neutral, though! I credit Jay Leno with teaching me how to pronounce "Lancia", by the way. 😁
Only a matter of weeks. They’ve salted everything and none of the snow has stuck for long. But soon. Managed to get this drive done after a good rain washed away the salt
Those transaxles purrs when they're satisfied, but they also go nowhere when being forced Patience is sure needed while driving old italian cars, 0-60 is just something to look forward to 😄
The closest I'll probably get to driving or even seeing a Lancia Flaminia is a VW fastback. The style puts you in the right era and it does have a shifter that goes to a rear gearbox. Not really a substitute, I know, but..
Staggeringly beautiful car. Mirrors? Pff! Its beauty is more important than mirrors. No waggle in the shifter would probably be hard to get used to. But it looks satisfying to drive.
@@TedwardDrives Wonder if the linkages came from agricultural equipment. But thank goodness the ash tray is there to help free both hands for shifting.
The classic car drives are my favorite. But yeah it’s kind of mentally exhausting to drive them because I have to be so aware. I usually just drive out in the country for that reason.
there's cars that I've shown starting with the choke, and then cut to driving about 10 minutes later and they comment that I never turned off the choke because they didn't see me do it....off camera lol
He wasn’t quite correct on the model history. Yes the car in the video is what might be referred to as a Series 1 Flaminia Sport and there were indeed 99 made. However what he described as the Series 2 is in fact the Flaminia Super Sports which along with the body style changes also featured the 2.8 litre engine. Between the two there was indeed what might be called a Series 2 Flaminia Sport (344 made) which featured the same tail as the earlier cars, but didn’t have covered headlights….all three models are beautiful. Enjoyed the video.

There’s something that’s so indescribably special about Lancias, especially older ones. Awesome video!

Wow, just wow. It's hard to find anything that is more refined or elegant than a Flaminia.... 👍👍👍👍
I saw a Flaminia GT in a nearby exposition, couple weeks ago. Even the standard model looks real nice. 😁
Yes! More Lancia content
I've been lucky this year with the Lancia's!

Wow! What a treat to drive a classic Lancia

Ah yes. Gotta love the classics 😎
Lancia’s are so underrated, that looks awesome!

What a beautiful little car. Love those early Zagatos!
Personally, I think Lancia built some of the most beautiful cars ever made. So jealous of you getting to drive that thing! And thank you for being so respectful to these rare beasts!
Many Lancias had quirks that were just features. So much more interesting than anything from the last 10 years.
So beautiful.

There was one of these at Brooklands Auto Italia event, same colour..
Lots of engine for being produced over 60 years ago, as well as being mounted in a tiny roadster shell. Looks great as well.
Excellant cooks tour LanciaZagatto. Thank you!

Awesome vid man! 🔥🔥
You would be such a cad to arrive to an event in one of these.
The only people who hate it when you jiggle neutral are those that don’t drive manual, they’ll never understand the struggle!
Wow, man, I like that you test classic cars. 👍
The refinement and quality of the Flaminia is easily on par with contemporary Aston Martin cars, and surely way ahead of Jaguars.
It reminded me so much of a DB4. I was not expecting it.
@@TedwardDrives agree. It shares quite a bit in terms of appearance, shape, as well as class, aura and refinement.
People hate the shifter jiggle? That's weird to me.... just a natural part of driving a manual.
They lose their minds. These are also the same people who probably crash by starting their car in gear lol

I laughed so hard at "Dude you gotta give me the merge"! For real tho- screw gap closers.
I had a full car length on him and he made a move as the lane was ending!!!! Like gtfo of here 😂
I am in love 😍
So lucky to not have snow (and salt).

They would be harmful for a 60 years old device. 🙂
I don't know how to describe it, here in Italy this model looks very fancy... But in America fits incredibly well...
Absolutely nice car
Being patient while getting off the line is normal for Fiat/Lancia transmissions
(At least all my Lancias do that)
0-60 in ….whenever 😂

Ahhhh... the classics..
A good example of a c-pillar kink predating any BMW.
How could ANYBODY manage to NOT notice this car at a red light?
It blows my mind. I'll be driving some INSANE cars and even the kids riding along with their parents don't look.

2:23, did I just hear a car with a bit of flatulence. Definitely, in a good way, one of the most funkiest cars. A Marylyn Monroe.
Staggeringly beautiful car. Mirrors? Pff! Its beauty is more important than mirrors.
No waggle in the shifter would probably be hard to get used to. But it looks satisfying to drive.
It took me two hands and big push to get to Reverse haha...My much stronger colleague also had to use two hands so it wasn't just me!

You should drive a cts v
I never wiggled a shifter for neutral, either
Can anyone explain why the Speedo needle sits at just over 5 when idling rather than at 0?
Never mind, I just realised that it’s the rev counter & it’s faulty

You're not a real manual driver if you don't jiggle the shifter in neutral!
Is there abs on that hog?
Absolutely not
