You have to try the sopa de caracol, pollo ensalsado, tapado de res, Tamales navideños (nacatamales), yuca con chicharron and so many other delicious dishes. Honduras is known for having the best food in Central America (yes, including Panama).
Also mainly only in Miami is called pollo ceibeño. But the truth is pollo con tajadas or pollo chucho is really from San Pedro Sula . Not la Ceiba. Idk why la Ceiba stole the name. Cause is not from la Ceiba. They might cook it there. But origin is in San Pedro Sula. Also Noone makes it like San Pedro Sula.
There's a couple nice honduran Spots on calle 8. Paseo Catracho & El nuevo orgullo catracho Same great quality food, for those that want to go to a safer area with more things to do on 8th street as well.
Nobody talks about it because it people did . Alot of the so call top cuisine would get beat by small really poor countries and they can't have that. I've heard a lot of chefs and cooks try central American food and they say honduras and el salvador got the best food in Latin America. And they implemented in their menus but is harder since the preparation is not the same as Mexican food which a lot compare it too but is completely a different process . Is a simple as that . I ain't doing research for yall if yall want yall can see the facts I'm speaking by doing your own research.
Thanks for inviting me to be part of this crazy experience

Chicken house on NW 22nd Ave makes the best pollo Chuco! And their version with steak instead of fried chicken is bomb too!🤤 😋
