    I’m happy to have learned that not all of you get taxed 60% - for some reason I thought it was that high so I’m sorry for the confusion.
    Also, if you feel like you’re not getting taxed enough you can always contribute to the journey on buymeacoffee.com/adamjmatheson
    Not sure if I deserve it but it will definitely help me recover from the financial burden that Sweden has inflicted upon me, as well as my personal trauma from the Surströmming stinky fish 🤢🐟
    Jokes aside I really appreciate your support and cannot wait to visit Sweden again ☺️🇸🇪

They live in Drottningholm. Fika is not only a break for coffee, it is a productive break very often for sharing thoughts within work and most great ideas are created during Fika. Usually a cup of coffee and a sandwich, fruit or pastry and each coffee break is approximately 15-20 minutes. The coffee is usually paid for by the employer and sometimes also the fruit.

    Surströmming should be eaten outside on a beautiful day in August when the temparture is pleasant. You should not eat the whole filet, but after having rinsed them in water you cut them into small pieces. You then put butter on the Tunnbröd and small pieces of surströmming and boiled potatoes. Put on plenty of chopped onion and maybe a little bit of sour cream. Then you get a balanced meal. Without potatoes and chopped onion, it will not be any good. The small pieces of surströmming should be put sparingly on the tunnbröd. Drink milk along with it.

      You forgot about social tax, its added by the employer but its still tax on your salary. If you make more than 60k a month you are taxed 66 percent for everything above 60k. And 60k is not a high salary for someone living in Stockholm.

    • @MagnusFoss
      @MagnusFoss 4 дні тому +1

      @@andersmalmgren6528 Well but thats not really tax and it is the employer who pays, not you as an employee (it´s not like you woulg get a higher salary without it). Its more like 50% not 66%. So if you have a salary of 80000 sek/month you will pay about 37% in tax.

    • @andersmalmgren6528
      @andersmalmgren6528 4 дні тому

      @@MagnusFoss Dude, there is a reason why the social democrats did what they did , its to get away with it with people like you. There is nothing in the social tax that isnt a tax, some of it might get back to you in form of pension etc, but nothing is certain. And if you make more than the break point for goverment tax none is going back to you, ever. Its 66 percent not 50. Read up my friend. If you make 80k, 20k will be taxed 66 percent including social tax. Btw, if social tax wasnt a thing then the employer would have a bigger budget to give you more salary. Also if you are a better negotiator than your colleagues then you can negotiate your colleagues parts too. But I bet you are the type that let the union do that for you right? Then probably someone else at the company will get that money, thats true. I'm self employed and would get that money. Lukily for me I can take out dividend (utdelning) for 20% tax plus coparate tax. At a total of about 30%

    Just gotta say, the idea that Swedes are taxed to death that you mention in passing at 20:04 is essentially a huge persistent myth. It’s a slightly more convoluted system in terms of brackets, but on average most Swedes pay no more than like 30% taxes. In reality it’s less than most other countries in the west. It’s just that the wealthy are taxed a lot more to compensate. And the taxes are spent relatively efficiently.
