My favorite part: "I strive for 95% perfection, not 100%, so, if that's your jam..." Oh my! I needed to hear that.

Thanks for the tip about placing grain on the bottom or top of rows as you sew triangles together. I never heard this before , and it was a real lightbulb moment!

I know this video is 5 yrs old but I found it today. THANK U. I saw a pattern I wanted to try with 60 degree triangles & thought, oh I'll need a triangle cutter! But now I can use my ruler I already have!! Love the video and followed you.

You are the freaking BEST! You’re the only person who explained getting the triangles together in a way I could understand. It definitely feels/looks screwed up when you put them together at first because of the overlap.

Thanks for the video. I've never worked with equilateral triangles the way you are doing them. I've only used them in kaleidoscope quilts where I have to cut down triangle by triangle through 6 pieces of matched fabric. Those can be a struggle. Your quilt looks like a lot of fun.

Small but maybe helpful cheat/tip is to put a piece of tape along the sixty degree line. That way you know which line to put on the edge of your fabric. Love the positivity of this (and all) your videos Matthew. Keep it up!!!! xx

To stay on the same ruler line use masking tape and tape along the line on both sides of the ruler. It acts as a a ledge to more easily line up your fabrics and then also is a reminder which line you use and don’t cut your fabric wrong

Oh how I love geometry! Not!! 🤣 But this is a great pattern that’s nice and easy! I’ve always hated math and somehow I managed to pick the one hobby that has so much to do with math! I guess those teachers were right...I did end up using math in real life. Even if it was to make awesome quilts 😉.
