I love the Deauville. I know fans of crotch rockets slag it off and say it's boring but they don't know what they're talking about. For real world biking the Deauville is superb. It's more than fast enough. I also like the look.
It's a fab bike isn't it. Done loads of miles on this one and it's still going strong over 2 years after this video having done countless tours since. Uber reliable, comfortable, and economical. With enough luggage space to take the kitchen sink... what more could you want 😁 Glad you enjoyed the vid and hope you check out my other stuff on my channel as I think you will quite like what I get up to on the old mighty Deauville 😊
Love the bike you own so practical and engine size is perfect for the roads now . Currently running a cg125 very happy cheap.and cheerful . Looks like a proper good ride out
They are brill bikes Jason, you thinking about upgrading to a Deauville or keeping the 125? Thanks for watching and hope you check out some of my other vids 👍
Cheers mate! No need to take the plastics off to do the carbs, did mine about 3 years ago and just needed to whip the tank and airbox off an voilà 😉 Thanks for watching one of my old vids 😁👍
Hope you enjoy the bike, they really are underrated! Hope you bagged a gen 2 (late 02 onwards) model as this was the year they made all the improvements!
@@bve7397 combined brakes, larger panniers with internal hinges......... lightened engine parts to reduce vibration, stronger alternator which supported higher output, uprated clutch (apparently), better headlight reflector just to name a few 😉 Cracking bikes, but the gen 2 is the one you want!
@@Pooley650 Yup thats mine im sure! Lovely one, mines a bit old but it was the only one on a2 plate. But could of gotten a better one for the same price if I wasnt restricted to a2.. but engine wise basicaly new did valve clearance and other maintanence. Now I just need to get a top box and high windscreen, and also a new fan because the old one seems to be wobbly and inconsistent. Besides that pretty nice bike :)
That is a wonderful view! We have too many trees where I am to have great views. I have to wait till Fall to see things sometimes. When I see someone masked up in a car, I wonder what they have been eating. :P
Brilliant bikes but they do have a flaw that can be fatal to the engine, the coolant link pipe between the cylinders can let go without warning, that is usually down to the coolant never being changed. I use my Deauville for everyday riding and ride its sporty chain drive variant the 650 Hawk which was imported from the USA for weekend blasts on the B roads.
I think this is often caused by the wrong coolant being used. This video was filmed about 4 years ago and it's still going strong! I recommend checking out some of my newer stuff, I think you'll enjoy it 😊
Hey up mate, I know exactly where you’re haunting. Lol 😂 I’ve used those roads since 1976 when I ha£ my first bike, our eldest Daughter lives in Matlock and we live 1 mile from Newton, I’m not gonna bore you with what bikes I’ve had. But as I’m winding down now, and dropping to bits I can say I’ve had both the 650 and 700 Deauville models, in fact I still have the 700 but I enjoyed the 650 too. Tough bikes, nice sound, cheap to run and fun to ride, the bike I had before was the BMW 1100rt Personality I would give more points to the Honda. God bless bro and stay sunny side up
Hi David, first of all thanks for watching and glad to meet another local 🙂 The 650 is a brill bike, super tough as you say, and having dropped it before, the proof is really in the pudding. What was your first bike out of interest? 😃
Last weekend (not filmed) we were up in the Peaks...... so busy, so much traffic! Did Bakewell (no tarts or puddings) did Snake Pass, Goyt Valley and out the minor roads to the Cat and Fiddle pub. Great area just too popular.
Nice route! Done the -northern- southern most part of the peaks A LOT over the last few weeks and gutted I still haven't bumped into the Banditman himself
@@Pooley650 Bandit has been too busy working to make much UA-cam stuff or ride much unfortunately. The place you are most likely to catch me is southern Peaks at the Wetton Mill tea rooms in the Manifold Valley, the cakes are great there but skip their coffee!
Sorry meant Southern!! Corrected my previous lol Yes I have this weird thing where I like to stop in various places and try their coffee but well noted on the Wetton Mill tea rooms hahaha
Hola from Derbyshire, glad you enjoyed the vid and the Deauville is definitely an easy bike to get along with. Check out some of my newer videos for loads more Deauville content, best place on UA-cam for it! 👍
Like a tractor through mud! 🤣 Enjoyed that. Beautiful views of the Deauville and the scenery wasn't bad either. Yes, the MotoVlog hobby has its benefits!
Hello buddy just found ya video . May I ask where are you I'm in kirk hallam worse look. Ermm do you still have the deauville. ? I ride a fazer 1000 just wonder if you still ride and would you like to meet up possibly
Hi mate, this is an old video but I certainly still have the Deauville, fab bike. Kirk Hallam is only up the road for me being based in Derbyshire myself 😁 My riding schedule is very unpredictable but I can usually be found in the Peak District most weekends. Might be nice to meet a subscriber so give my other social pages a follow, I'm on Facebook and Instagram and keep up to date with when I'm out and about 👍
Hiya Nicolas, thanks for checking out this blast around the peaks! The screen in the video is a Powerbronze high screen, the thumbnail is a slightly later pic after I fitted a much more effective MRA Touring screen fitted with the MRA deflector, you can see the latter in my later vids 👍 Cheers and hope you consider subscribing and sticking around 😁
Must be my bike they don't like 🤣 Thanks for watching one of my old vids, I have new episodes of my Europe tour going up every week at the moment where I had to learn the biker wave instead... check them out if you fancy yourself some touring stuff 👍
Started riding in 1969 on a Honda 50. Never nodded, waved or otherwise shook body parts about apart from the occasional fork like gesture to people trying to kill me.
Blimey, almost 30 years before I was even a glimmer in me dad's eye 🤣 I do like being part of the biker code but it's something that I do feel is dying off here in England I think over the last few years...
Oh just one more tip, if tip this is? It might just be bollocks. I’m not saying this to brag but I’ve made sure I’ve had bragging rights in the bar by having the latest, greatest, fastest production bikes out there, ZZR1100 blackbird, hyabusa, R1, blade. And lots of midrange, 750-800-600 bikes, sure you get nodded at, oooh I’m in the bikers band, I’m 😎 do you know one of my favourite bikes ever bar none was the Honda cub 90, if I rode that, no one nodded back, flash kit most nodded back, not all because then you get into a bigger load of shite in that the style of two wheels counts. Ie scooter, faired, non faired, cruiser, Harley Davis, Be confident, don’t waste money like me, just enjoy what you have x
Haha you do make me laugh David, some nice bikes you've had. Perhaps I'm too wise for my age and don't splash out, the Deauville has done me well and until that fails me there won't be any flashy bikes entering the Pooley garage 🤣🤣 Thank you very much for watching 😃

Nice. Enjoying your videos. Especially the bit about the carbies. I’ve got to balance mine, but I’m procrastinating. All that plastic to take off…

Getting a 2002 with 27k km on it, restricted to a2. But secretly desrestricted lol. Gonna be my daily bike and occasional tourer :)
