I live in Canada and we own the same bike. Its great to tour on in North America. We've had it for ten years. In 2023 we traveled to the UK picked up our motorcycle which we flew to Heathrow from Calgary, Canada. We rode from Heathrow visited Valance, France which was on our way south. It was a great area to ride. Thanks for sharing. We enjoyed your video. I also had 1000cc Kawasaki that I bought in the early 90's it is called a Concours over here. It's winter over here now we will have to wait for spring now. Enjoy riding. Hang on to your GTR 1400 they are real sleepers.

13:40 these speedbumps are designed to only slow down cars. Buses, trucks & tractors are not affected by them and can maintain their speed

Worked good, cheers! Needed penetrating fluid on the pin as that was stuck and brake clean on the pistons. Used a crowbar to back the pistons off for the new pads as they were pretty stiff lol.

I remember touring in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Monaco and Italy in the seventies with my girlfriend on the back of my GT550. We did not have intercom. We had nice and peaceful trips. This is a nightmare. Not a silent moment.

I enjoyed that series. You need to pull your finger out and get 2024's trip edited now.

What a difference a bit of dry weather makes. The sun comes out and you two are off on a major banter-fest. Talking about being wet... Gone! Looking for somewhere to stop... Gone! Complaining about wind generators... Gone! All replaced by any amount / amaaant of random nonsense.... love it.

I love that your default comparison for almost anywhere in Europe is Nottingham. 🤣 I worked for a company based in Nottingham for a few years, so I know exactly where you are coming from. Verte is the French for green. We have a local scrap man who calls for scrap using a microphone and loudspeaker. Most of what he says is lost on me but I always get his long drawn out version of 'old iron', which in his case is pronounced "oooolllld iiiii onnnn". He's a sound guy too and took away a massive old heat exchanger unit from a heating system my late Father in Law installed in his house in 1966! Damn thing took several full sized gorilla's to lift, but the rag'n'bone man and his mate soon had it gone.👍

I've watched every episode of this tour and somehow, this one is different to all the others.... rural roads, little towns, petrol, needing a wee (one of you always does).... nope, I just can't quite put my finger on it.

I got rained on at that exact belgian dual carriageway about 9 mins in when I went to Germany two weeks ago! Some of those roads had such horrendous bumps it knocked my cruise control off... Ardennes roads were amazing though through the twists.

I have to say gents if you where ever nervous of riding in the rain this trip certainly will have suppressed that fear.

Static electricity in the atmosphere can severely limit radio comms. It's very hard to send a tiny little electromagnetic signal through a massive amount of electromagnetic activity. I was wincing at that storm and could almost feel the wind blasting you about. It was a bit of a surprise to look out the window and see a sunny evening! Can't beat a nice bit of Kraftwerk!
