I've never heard of Eckhart Tolle before, but this interview was so significant to me! I'm 28 and for most of my life I have suffered deep depression for seemingly no reason. Earlier this year I felt the worst I've ever felt, but lying in bed one night it's like a switch went off and everything changed. I went from emotional agony to feeling love and peace and deep gratitude. I haven't been the same since and I have experienced a lot of what Eckhart is describing. I will have to look into his work.

Kay Oss same, I have only just discovered him, I have been looking into this sort of stuff for over 6 years, but he seems to make sense when telling it. I hope your still feeling ok Kay, my daughter is 28 and has been poorly since birth needing me to do most of her care, she suffers real bad from depression and anxiety but gets so upset because doctor won’t look at her depression and feeling leaving her illness aside, they say she has a reason to be depressed and anxious but she knows her feelings are not Down to what she has as she has been poorly from birth and knows no feeling. Sometimes I think others are quick to push how they would feel onto others, this man made so much sense I would love my Katie (my daughter) to watch it but sadly she don’t think there is anyone who can help her. Much love to you x

I am a follower of Jesus Christ and so enjoy Ruben and Tolle’s willingness to listen to a wide diversity of thoughts. 2020 was my year to learn the biological benefits of mindfulness and different states. I resonate with Margaret Moore’s descriptions of mind states. I promote that my clients take charge to use each and give each state a rest. I choose Balance, variety and life giving interpretations.
I am responsible for my own Words, Actions, Thots, Companions, Heart’s focus.

@Maxime Laneville would love too have a talk with you to understand Mc Eckart.
He rates the state of presence higher than the state of thinking.
That’s a biased thought downvote for the state of thinking..
..why would he teach this, rather than teaching his “unbiased“ and all equal observations of presence?
What is new on his discovery of presence?
I cant distinguish it from the 6000 year old idea of pure attention.
Attention is the 1. attribute of the mesopotamian god king
      2. attribute .. it could speak magic words and make order out of mother chaos.
That’s representing the thinking and articulation state of mind.
What keeps him from fully committing to his best try of being a unbiased silent monk, rather than spend most of his time sell and brand his “magic“ words?
I would like to here you’re thoughts on that too :

Read a book called "Science and Health with Key to the scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Eckhart studied a book by Joel Goldsmith and it is where he got a lot of his enlightenment. Joel Goldsmith was a Christian Scientist. Most of Eckhart's way of thinking is Christian Science. Don't take my word for it, Eckhart himself suggests Joel's books and tells of the background they come from.
