After nearly 50 years, Qantas today said goodbye to its last 747, VH-OEJ. Delivered in 2003, it exited the fleet early because of the effects of Covid-19, although it was due to retire later in the year. Its last passenger revenue flight was in March 2020. In all, 57 747s have served Qantas since 1971. Truly the "Queen of the Skies." This is a short video of OEJ taking a 1500 ft flyover of the first Qantas 747-438, VH-OJA, at Shellharbour Airport on Wednesday 22 July 2020.
