Must see in Langkawi - cable car & sky bridge

- Today we decided to do something besides lounge around on the beach.
We got a quick (and very cheap) Grab taxi ride to Panorama Langkawi, where there is a lot more than just a cable car (something we didn’t realise until getting there).
Here you can find:
- SkyCab: the world’s steepest cable car
- SkyBridge: the world’s longest curved suspension bridge
- SkyRex: an indoor 4D ride
- SkyDome: an indoor roller coaster ride (with a twist)
- 3D Art Museum: where you can become part of the artwork
We just wanted to go on the cable car but after being told we had to buy the combo deal which included all of the above we made the most of the added ‘freebies’…..and we’re glad to say it turned out to be a very fun day!
At the top of the cable car you have panoramic views of Langkawi and the surrounding islands, we were lucky enough to have a clear day so we could see quite far. You’re very high up and in the middle of the jungle, so watch out for low flying birds and playful monkeys!
Afterwards we walked a bit up the main road to Seven Wells Waterfall. It was 638 steps up the mountain to get to the top but once there we were awarded with a beautiful natural waterfall and swimming pool - the perfect way to end a hot day!

Hey guys 😊 loving the Malaysia content! The Skybridge looks amazing!! We didn't get a chance to do it when we were in Langkawi, we got so unlucky and it rained the whole three days we there... and I mean like it RAINED hard! Looks stunning though 😍😍 yikes that cable car though, that looked seriously high! Seems like pretty good value given that you got all of the extras included to!
Oh darn pity you missed it. The weather can be so weird, and you guys went in a completely different season to us...sounds like it always has the potential to rain there!

I think we did ok that day with the lines fortunately, but there would definitely be long lines some days!

We had such a great day 😊 Our expectations weren't high, we just thought it would be a cable car and view.
i was curious about the cash only policy and searched more info about it. their official website, panorama langkawi provides online purchase and i see few other online shopping websites offering the same method, probably with a discount. so , if you are coming wt a large group its best that you purchase online otherwise you have to bring large sum of cash.
I am not sure about other expenses but i think you can top up your grabpay via credit card, pay your hostels or hotel online, but i am pretty sure you have to pay cash at the night markets and small restaurants.
I do travel a lot wt my family and yes credit card is important and always try to maximize its usage on high amount bills.
Great tips 😊 Depends on the hotel though, all that we stayed at required cash so make sure you check before going to check-in 👍
@@AprilandTimTravel yes, like i said its best that you book your hostels or hotel online. agoda offers more than 700 properties in langkawi alone and God knows how many by airbnb. there are plenty to choose from and do spend time reading the reviews so that you wont get awful place to stay or at least minimize the damage if any.
@@GajahMengaumTheBruce yes but even if you book online you may have to pay cash. It has caught us out in a few countries. It'll say when you're booking whether you pay them with cash or if they accept credit card.....even with booking.com and agoda!

I was also surprised and skeptical about the forced combo ticket when I was there but then was pretty happy they did that by the end. Enjoy yourselves you two, take in all the Island has to offer and as always, cheers.

It was 55 MYR ($18.70 AUD) each for the Sky Cab (which included the 2 rides and 3D art) and 5 MYR ($1.70 AUD) each for the Sky Bridge.
