Nice guitar man, that headstock is gorgeous! welcome to the jackson family ;) What about releasing a single using the jackson? Calling it, “Sunrise” cause its like a new start with the change to a jackson guitar and all!
Love that headstock logo. Nice. She looks fast for sure. White binding just pops with that blue. Hope there's a setup on the workbench video coming soon! I'd like to see an updated video of your tour case with all the extra Floyd Rose bridges, tuning keys, odds and ends, tools, etc....I'm a nerd for that stuff. Thanks for another great video Rob! HEAVY METAL OVER EVERYTHING!!
Well F@#K, I'm officially getting a Jackson next...you're good Rob! Real good! In all seriousness have been looking for a good model with a floyd. Thank you for taking the time out to not only show cool stuff but educate as well.
Dude, omg I love that finish and binding. The binding looks pearlescent. 😎 🤜🏼🤛🏼 thanks for another cool video. Edit: finally know if the wood neck follows all the way through!
Awesome video! It was enjoyable from top to bottom, and the intro with the Cosmic Shock playthrough was the icing on the cake! She looks stunning and with great playability, I guess I'd go with this one too if I wanted to try one of the more recent models from Jackson! The finish is beautiful from what I've heard she sounds badass too! Super cool video, can't wait to see this one in action some more! Cheers! 🤘🏻 Top quality content as always, Rob! You're the man!

"Baby shark-shark-shark" I got one of these for $760 on reverb. The polar burst is barely visible. it looks mostly blue with a light burst hardly noticeable. Maybe thats why it was so cheap, but i love it! It does feel great!
Wow! Such a beautiful Soloist - as a huge SuperStrat and Chimaira fan, I'm still admire your dedication to SuperStrat shape, Rob! I want to restore my first real guitar, and now I know what finish I choose for it - it's originally dark blue metallic, and now I want a black-blueburst for it!

Great video Rob as usual. It's a good guitar, but I love my LTD and E-II guitars. I loved jackson, but unfortunately, the quality built isn't that good compared to ESP LTD guitars. I hope you can unbox more E-II and LTD guitars. Keep up the great work brother.🤘

But the more rock and roll answer is... If you want to wham it up like Dime, Hammett, or King, then just "dive" in and get started! 😝🎸
If you’ve never had a FR take it to someone you trust to set it up for you. Take them the brand and gauge strings you plan to use then whenever you restring it change one string at a time. Eventually you’ll get comfortable enough to mess with it but at first that’s how I eased into floating trems, or you can always block it to dive only and then as long as you got enough spring tension to pull it back to the stop you’re good.
How does the neck of this soloist compare to that of an ESP LTD extra thin U profile? I'm trying to choose between this or an ESP LTD Horizon Custom 87. Thanks!

And you're right... it definitely does look like a keyboard case! 🤣 But as I've gotten a couple more of them, and have been transporting them around, I've actually really grown to like them! The fact that they're super light weight, and easier to squeeze into tight spaces, makes them quite desirable as a matter of fact. Now. I wouldn't take one on tour, where cases are thrown in and out of trailers and stuff night after night... but for easy gigging, or transporting to practice or the studio, they're actually a nice and welcomed changed from the typical bulky hardshells I'm used to!
Lools like a schecter sls elitebody with an ibanez finish and low pro trem with a jackson headstock. All around fairly beautiful guitar. Edit: better look showed that in not a low pro trem.
Hey, Rob. I was just listening to Everything You Love and I think a couple of the guitar parts could have been replaced with an otamatone. Song still bangs tho, so it’s whatever

Stainless steel convert here. My frets always wear and I hate that so it just makes sense to go stainless. Great spec on these but chinese guitar above 1k feels bizarre to me though.
Yeah many are cased up in another room I use for storage, and then I just rotate them in and out to my boat here in the lab as necessary. I'll bring out guitars I might need or want for various projects I'm working on.
While the Jackson neck does feel different, or slightly wider across the fretboard, all of the ESP/ltd's I'm used to playing are also 43mm. So I don't think that's the difference. Not sure what is!
I've been scared to buy these Chinese Jackson's cause you know it's made in China. Is the QC on these actually good or did Rob get lucky? Also it's not a sticker on the back of the neck it's just where the gloss meets the satin/natural finish on the back. At least that's how a few of my soloists are.
Yeah I just mentioned this to another dude in a similar comment, but I've now realized that after spending some time with it, that it appears to be a bad transition from the body's gloss finish, to the oiled neck. Honestly, it's the only real flaw I've found with this guitar.
@@RobArnoldWorldive never seen that transition go well for any brand, so i just go bolt-on instead. 😅 Feels more natural than that clumsy cut. Or just same finish on neck thru.
I own 2 Chinese soloists and I would put them up against the ones made in other countries. They're just so good I'm telling you. Anyone who doesn't like their Chinese guitars can send them to me I'll take them.
I'd appreciate your patience! Things on this channel come and go in waves, depending on what I'm feeling at the time. Lately I've been acquiring a bunch of new gear, and that's why you're seeing what you're seeing. The pendulum will swing!
I just picked up a brand new one for $1,035, I've owned six Jackson guitars over 35 year. Including a USA Jackson that was very good but I got to say the one I just got is fantastic.

@@EmilWindahl I'm just used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore. It's Just part of the design.
I own 2 Chinese soloists and I would put them up against the ones made in other countries. They're just so good I'm telling you. Anyone who doesn't like their Chinese guitars can send them to me I'll take them.
Esp are making sic shit you see that blood red rhoads-v they sent gary holt fkn badass
Not gonna lie, I kinda miss what this channel used to be. When it was more about making and producing than reviewing gear.
I'd appreciate your patience! Things on this channel come and go in waves, depending on what I'm feeling at the time. Lately I've been acquiring a bunch of new gear, and that's why you're seeing what you're seeing. The pendulum will swing!
1500$ for guitar made in China? That is crazy.

Made in USA are easily $4k+
People that talk sht about CHINA YOU SEE THAT QUALITY of course you don't, it's killer
Also, I hope they moved these high dollar models to China because of better QC. The Indonesia models were pretty bad in that respect.
Jackson is trying hard to turn you to the dark side!
Na... we're just hangin'😎
Drop that the body will bust in half??????
Pretty for a guitar made in China
Color is dope
Why are they made in China?
Couldn't tell ya! haha
I just don't care for the color at all. Otherwise it's great. But I'd never buy it because of the color. I hate Jackson fades.
Oooops, that's one of your songs.... sorry ;-)
🤘
I know you have lived on bridge pickups most of your life, but neck/middle and neck really sound fat!!
@ $1,599.99 and it's STILL made in China? LOL!

I just picked up a brand new one for $1,035, I've owned six Jackson guitars over 35 year. Including a USA Jackson that was very good but I got to say the one I just got is fantastic.
Have you ever checked out a Solar guitar? I’ve never played one but heard they play amazing. I’m sure Ola would hook you up with one!!
I have not! But if one were to fall in my lap, I'd jam it with pleasure!
