Kelvin didn’t even get a chance! Ha And yes, I forgot to ream the pipe because I forgot the reamer. Here is a link to the Ridgid 600 I used in this video: amzn.to/37xCR1M
yes very good !!most dont know ,i just thrw out 2 old pipe stands ,you know that your getting old when you throw out your tools lol good luck i enjoy your videos keep it up , good help is hard to get
That was very satisfying to watch for some reason. This may be a first, however. Finally something I cannot justify buying as a homeowner. Especially since there is no NG where I live, and we've already got propane lines to the pool and house.
Make sure you let kelvin and steven know how lucky they are to have a automatic threader, my jmans still got me using the ole hand cranker lol...Talk about an arm workout!
I use the Ridgid 700, I got real lucky I stumbled on a guy who was retiring and selling his stuff off. Got it barely used with does up to 1-1/2" dies for $450 and a brand new ratchet soil pipe cutter for $100. I think he was pissed at his son who didn't want to get into the trades.q
Cutting and threading pipe is gradually becoming a thing of the past with MegaPress getting more and more popular. Just imagine the time you'd save not having to thread anything and fight with wrenches especially for bigger jobs. You could rough gas on a new house in like half the time. I think everybody would have already switched to press fittings for everything if the tools and fittings weren't so damn expensive lol. MegaPress fittings are like 4x the cost of regular black pipe fittings. 12 bucks for a 3/4" MegaPress elbow, get the hell out of here. ProPress is at least a little bit more cost effective.
@@PipeDoctor yes true but Accidents happened and I have seen it , The other thing is watch loose clothing and wearing sweatshirts with hoods with strings on it I’ve seen guys get their head sucked right into the machine because the stringer caught in the threader and getting a head cracked open
Make sure you show him how to stand use good technique with clamp for cutter on big pipe. Had a tech get flipped like a pretzel trying to put his body weight no clamp. Only takes once.
whats the silver screw piece sticking up from the stand for?
You miss the reamer
you should ream the pipe
Damn . The right tools for the job make it a hell of a lot easier ! Good job 👍
Love the Rigid. Saves you a lot time.

Curiosity
Have you considered using the ProPress black iron fittings?
That's pretty sweet, we have manual crank at work, but I love the electric
Is this for airlines or for gas I thought your supposed to ream the pipe before adding thread
Nice machine, but definitely worth investing in a Milwaukee pipe threader, works great!
so mikey ?what is it for ?
thats the easy part the hard part is getting the measurements so when you screw it all together you are right on the money- not long not short.

Have you used megapress? Nothing beats a sexy new threading rig tho

How many pressure can those be handle?
You guys work Sundays ?!?!
I guess de- burring isn’t necessary for gas ??
mikey pipes showing em how its done!!
Plumber Mike has the Ace mechanic working the Boss's house on a Sunday. Spoil him with that electric threader.
You should use the support arm when threading with that machine
Too much stress on that plastic handle holding back
Thanks for the video
Glas bottle sprite for Mexico. And you? Plastic? 😜😜😜
U forgot ream the pipe
Where is the cross bar on the tripod to hold the threader so it doesn’t catch and rip your fucking arms off your body
