Starting to think getting the 1.4 was a good choice my egr is on the side of the block between the engine and battery thanks for the videos gives me some help
Just sprang a leak in the exact same place. I went down the route of cutting the hose where the split was and reattach. Gave me a couple weeks but now leaking again. Doesn't look like a fun job ahead for me
I am loosing about half liter of coolant every 15 000 kilometers. Under common trail pump its little wet, coolant container overflowing hose to upper left of radiator is little wet but it can be also windscreen cleaning detergent. Also hoses around lower right of radiator are little greasy/wet. I have EGR-valve blocked by programming. I am thinking to check hoses from back of the engine and clean intake manifold simultously. Can I just delete egr-cooler?
I put 14 psi pressure in cooling system and coolant start draining from the bottom back of engine block. Cant see damn leaking hose so I guess I have to remote battery, fuel filter housing and all that :D NOOOUUUUUUU
It takes 12 minutes to take this off ,Don't listen to this man this is an easy job you don't need any mirror or camera and you don't need to take anything of to get to it just follow the egr down from the electric connection and you will feel the two bolts they are bolted facing the front of the engine and a t45 fits them can be removed in a few minutes and you can see these bolts if you look from the side of the car

I've a water leak in that area to give heard a vad egr cooler can fail the sniff test

Grate video ,I put in brand new valve and now when drive the car is surging,no air leaks , what could be the fault no fault codes thanks
Not a clue, these engines seem to do loads of weird stuff. Mine now has a Hic-Cup at 1750 RPM, but like you no fault code.

As egr valve is blocked by programming is not it that ego cooler valve keeps closed all the time and no coolant go there?

Whoever designed this and EGR, should go to jail.
